🔫 Locked. Loaded. Unputdownable. 💥

Yo, if you’re into hard-hitting, no-nonsense action with a main character who’s rough around the edges and running on pure rage, Retribution is the real deal. M.A. Robbins delivers a total banger here—think Mad Max meets The Punisher with a post-apoc twist. 🔥

Jon Streg? That dude is feral. 😤 He’s got nothing left to lose and a whole lot of justice to serve, one bullet at a time. The vibes are gritty, the pace is breakneck, and the shootouts are straight-up wild. Like, you blink and someone’s already six feet under. 💀

What I didn’t expect? The feels. 🥺 Underneath all that hard-shell badassery, Streg’s carrying some heavy pain—and it hits. His backstory slaps you in the heart, and it gives the whole revenge arc some real weight. 💔

Add in a rivalry-turned-reluctant-team-up with another badass, a villain trying to finish the apocalypse he started, and you’ve got a high-stakes thrill ride that never lets up. No filler. All fire. 🔥🚨

Perfect For:
📖 Readers who like their heroes scrappy and slightly unhinged
📖 Action junkies who crave nonstop chaos
📖 Fans of gritty post-apoc worlds with old-school Western vibes 🤠
📖 Anyone who lives for the “I work alone… unless I really have to” energy

Redemption drops May 22, 2025. If it hits as hard as Retribution, you better believe I’m clearing my schedule. 💣

I was looking forward to reading Retribution because the premise of a post-apocalyptic thriller sounded interesting.

While Robbins created a potentially interesting world, it is never fully explored. While we are privy to what it’s like to live in post-tilt Anchorage, the worldwide effects created by the tilt are largely unknown. For me, the world-building falls flat.

Streg is a brutal man who is too prone to violence and murder to be likeable. As the main character, I found it difficult to connect with him and, therefore, root for him, and that made it impossible for me to get immersed in the plot.

Well, let me start by saying I thought this going to be another post apocalyptic story, about what’s left and survivors etc. It is but not, let me explain. It’s full of intense action, more of a thriller this time, always something going on. I found this to be a cracking story from start to finish. I was fully and completely engrossed. I loved it. I cannot wait for book two to see what happens next. Highly recommended.

OMG ! What a story. Right away I became a huge fan of Jon Streg. A very complex, hard hitting and brutal man with a heart of gold hidden away under all his trauma. Our other main characters, Red, TBone and Marlowe add to this thrilling and exciting story as they race to stop another Tilt happening. Hooked from the start and can't wait for the next book.

This was an enjoyable read! I did like the ideas & the energy of this end of the world adventure. A nice twist of the plot, to keep things interesting, with a western style ambience in this broken world. I did like the characters but there is some angst running though out the storyline, certainly understandable in this hectic dying world! A good read!

A great read, action packed from start to finish. Jon stregg, a no nonsense, but lovable character, has been hardened by loss and destruction, and strives to save the world from a second ‘Tilt’. An absolutely, must read post-apocalyptic thriller with more to come in book 2. Highly recommended.
