Becoming a loup-garou—a werewolf—is never easy. It’s especially hard if you’re still in high school, the first female to survive the transformation, and the embodiment of an ancient prophecy, expected to bring peace to warring factions. But Katey McCoy, even more stubborn and rebellious than she was as a human, has the comfort and support of her pack. Or so she thought, until she discovers they’ve been keeping secrets from her. At least she still has her mate, Logan Keith on her side. But Logan is fighting demons of his own. If he can’t learn to control the wolf within, how can he ever be a worthy alpha and mate to Katey? Then the hunters come, assassins determined to exterminate the loup-garou. Her pack insists Katey stay hidden. Safe. But that’s not in her nature. Isn’t this what she was born for? To protect and aid the loups-garous? On the run and in a battle for their lives, Katey’s new world begins to crumble around her. With werewolves, vampires, and human hunters at war, and Logan distracted by his own battles, how can Katey activate her full potential and fulfill her ancient destiny? Their world—and the lives of those they love—depend on them. If Katey and Logan are to withstand this final onslaught, they must each embrace their true powers and learn to control the beast within. If they can’t, no one may survive.

This book had me hooked from the first page! Katey McCoy is a beautifully layered character—fierce, vulnerable, and brave beyond measure. Watching her evolve while navigating pack politics, romance, and a looming war is captivating. The blend of mythology, suspense, and emotion makes Beast Within unforgettable. Bitikofer proves she knows how to keep readers turning pages.
OKAY this series is just getting better and better. This time I really wanted to choke out a couple of the characters for stupid moves but dang it, not only did those stupid moves create some awesome drama they might possibly end up redeeming themselves if given the chance. There are other characters that cause you to rethink some of their actions but don't be fooled. This author has built us a world of all kinds of conflict and brought them a light to lead the way to peace. She has given us good strong characters who you don't know if you can trust and others that redeem themselves, times when you want to reach out and choke and other times you wanna give a fist pump or a hug. I'm loving Michael and Anton, and of course the pack is unmatched.
There is still so many unanswered questions as this author has us dangling in anticipation. This book of the series is by far the strongest and it isn't the end of the story yet. I can't imagine what else she will plop in our brains but I will be there to find out.
Ok I don't even know where to start. Hunters are you kidding me we just got out of one situation then into another. The wolves have no idea what is going on and she has no idea how to be a werewolf. I think many of the adults were treating her like an adult instead of the teenager she really is. They needed to give her more instruction than orders. I mean what teenager is going to take orders blindly or without the why. I can't wait for the next episode of this adventure
I can't remember a book of this kind I liked any better. everyone in this series keeps getting better and better. I also loved the fact there wasn't a huge cliffhanger since the new one doesn't come out till January. I love the story . Sheritta, your books just keep getting better and better. Keep it up. I highly recommend this book if you like shapeshifters and vampires. which I do.
As I'm already invested in these characters, this book was by far the most intense of Sheritta's loup-garous series. Thrilling book with loads of background story revealed and new plots unfolding. I'm in love with Katey and Logan's relationship and struggles.
So many stories entwined. With so many years to live it's not surprising people's paths cross again. The bitter with the sweet. Yet new hope rises from old prophecy. If only pains of the past were so easily cured. Even as truth is revealed new pains come to light.
