In my small town, everything I know is about to change. My family’s coffee shop has been a local staple for years. It’s more than just a place to get caffeine; it’s where the community gathers, where we’ve built something real. But now, the Maversons—this sleek, ambitious family from out of town—have opened their own café just two blocks away, and the battle for customers is on. As if that’s not enough to deal with, I find myself inexplicably drawn to Johnny Maverson, the heir to their empire. What starts as a fight for business quickly escalates into something much more complicated, with a chemistry between us that neither of us can ignore. Emotions are running high, and with everything on the line, I must decide if I’ll protect my family’s legacy or risk it all for a love that could destroy everything we’ve built.
Two Heads are Better than One - Demi’s life was all about her family’s coffee shop, so she was upset when she discovered a new coffee shop was opening close by and they had stolen her ideas for themselves. Johnny felt an instant attraction towards Demi from the moment he met her, which made it difficult for him when he became her nemesis. Unfortunately, Johnny knew he had to put his attraction aside whilst he fought the coffee shop battled with Demi, but his feelings for her soon overpowered his desire to win.
Luckily, Johnny decided his happiness was more important, so he made an agreement with Demi, that gave them a chance at having a future together. If you love reading sweet, instalove romance stories about a feisty heroine and a spirited hero, with a storyline filled with angst, drama, witty banter and small-town camaraderie, then this is the book for you. This is a new author for me and I must say it’s been a pleasure reading the story.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Demi's family have run a coffee shop for a long time having moved to America from Greece. Then Johnny's family open their own coffee shop down the street leading to a coffee was between the families.
But Johnny is attracted to Demi and wants to make things right. When his family buy out Demi's family can he be the one to make everything right?
This is an easy read, I wish I'd learnt more about some of the side characters like Ray.
The story itself would be 4 stars. FMC and MMC go from attraction to enemies, and they jump to a couple a bit quickly for me. The epilogue is sweet. There is a lot of humor in here, too. However, it is difficult to read because the commas are used inconsistently. I had to keep rereading sentences to understand them. I read the bonus chapter included from the next story, and it was not punctuated that way. Perhaps I will try that when it is released.
