This book had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next. There were cattle thieves, robbers, deception, kidnapping, mystery, and a sweet romance.
The characters were real, and many layers unfolded as the story continued. I was surprised at the Marshall's determination and compassion. The mystery within the pages kept me turning the pages.
A great read that kept me glued to the pages until the end.

Here's another fine historical romance from Elaine Shields. I wasn't quite as impressed with the hero in this book as I have been in her others. With all the rustlings and robberies going on in Willow Creek, the sheriff spent an inordinate amount of time being distracted by Clare's search for her birth family. It doesn't seem like he had his priorities in order. However he somehow managed to solve everything and win the girl in the end.

Great Read
A great book of secrets kept that lead to a great reunion of times past. Love and truth bring the Sheriff and the young rich lady together. After all, he saved her life as a baby. Great reading.
