*Includes a bonus chapter from Devoured from Lucas Wolfe's POV!*

Kylie Wolfe and bassist Wyatt McCrae have been bad for each other for the last several years, but it’s impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull. Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by lust and proximity—she’s her older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band mate.

So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the latest break with Wyatt official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about the last time she was in New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just to fall ridiculously in love with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal, no-strings attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.

Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as gorgeous and demanding and awful for her as ever.

Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard in the first place. Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last chance with each other.

If you have read Emily Snow’s Devoured series, you have met Lucas Wolfe’s little sister, Kylie, and his guitarist, Wyatt. I loved Kylie in Devoured. She is spunky and fun, with blue hair, tattoo’s and piercings- but we see a whole different side of her in Savor You.

Wyatt McRae was Kylie Wolfe’s first love. They have been doing the on again off again thing for the last 7 or 8 years- since Kylie has been 17. They have been through too much together. Their love is intense, real, yet they seem to be toxic for each other. Kylie can’t do it anymore. She can’t keep repeating the cycle. She has to call it quits for good this time.
We hurt each other.
Then we mend ourselves.
And then, we do it all over again, only more violently.

 photo 9a675cc1-0a68-4476-aa15-e930867a36f8_zpsb7b16e1b.jpg

She goes out of town to New Orleans with her best friend to clear her head. Wyatt follows her there. He can’t believe Kylie is really giving up on them. He has made a ton of mistakes in the past, but he is willing to do whatever it takes to fix them. He doesn’t want to be without Kylie.
‘We’re going to try again and we’ll get it right.’

Wyatt decides that taking a ‘road trip’ to places that are important to them will help his cause. Even though he doesn’t say the words, he loves Kylie. He needs to prove to Kylie he is serious about them. What better to do than get a tattoo?

“You’ve always been amazing to me.”

It’s a rocky road for these two, will they be able to salvage what is left of their relationship and be able to start over, or are some wounds just too deep...

Kylie is one kick ass heroine. I like her a lot- but there was just something about Wyatt McRae... I just loved this rockstar. He is a sexy man, domineering and sweet. He really is willing to do whatever it takes to get Kylie to be his for good. Yep... he made me swoon!

“You’re mine. No matter what you decide or who the fuck you end up with, you always will be.”

This was an enjoyable read for me, I actually liked it a bit better than ‘Devoured’. The ending isn’t a cliffhanger, but I am ready for book 2 to see what happens between Kylie and Wyatt!!!

Almost 4 stars.

I don't appreciate the fact that Emily Snow's scheduled release dates are never in sync with when the books actually finally go live.

But I do enjoy her books and Savor You was no exception. Her writing is well-paced. The stories and characters (rock stars!) are interesting. And the dialogue flows.

Following her first series, I take it that she has a certain style. She starts out in the middle of the story. The back story is written later on via a novella. That's what happened with Devoured. I'm assuming this will happen for the Savor Us series as well.

Kylie and Wyatt have a lot of history. Kylie is giving up. This is their last hurrah before she walks away from this dysfunctional relationship/non-relationship that has caused her so much heartache over the years. 18 times to be precise.

The problem with starting out in the middle of the story is we don't get to experience the whole journey with them until later on. It is alluded to a lot in the first book but the details are vague. Too bad because it sounds like the history is riddled with so much angst. It sounds like it was a roller-coaster ride that should have taken the reader through emotional ups and downs. Somehow, the lack of details on their history prevents one from fully emotionally connecting to the story and the characters. It rather leaves a lot feeling disjointed.

The very same thing happened with the Devoured series. For the people who didn't enjoy the first book as much, they went on to say that things made more sense after the novella was released in December last year - months after Devoured was released.

I'm invested in Kylie and Wyatt's story though. Surprisingly, the steam factor is way toned down in Savor You relative to Devoured. But it does sound like their past is more powerful than that of Sienna and Lucas.

4-4.5 ★'s

Kylie is the sister of Lucas, lead singer from Your Toxic Sequel and the main character in the Devoured series and Wyatt is the band's bassist. Wyatt and Kylie, Kylie and Wyatt...what's really been going on with them and are they in a relationship or not?

Sooo, somehow I completely flaked over this book. I missed that it had come out and for some reason I didn't realize it was connected to the Devoured series. Thankfully, the extremely wonderful Jxxx ♥ , alerted me to it and I'm sooo happy she did because it was great!

I don't know why I was a little apprehensive about Kylie...I've always liked her feistiness. I guess I just wasn't that jazzed about her love story. Needless to say, I'm glad I read it anyway. I loved her!! It was amazing to see her softness and how vulnerable she can be!

I really liked getting to know Wyatt better too. Although to be frank, we don't really get to know a lot about him till the end. I'm hoping that will be rectified in the next book.

And that's kind of the problem I had with the book, is that we don't really know what happened between Kylie and Wyatt. They had gotten together eight years ago and been on and off since. It's not hard to figure out what some of the problems could be but you don't really get any particulars till late in the book and then, not a whole heck of a lot!

But pheww...are they hot together. I love how ES writes her steamy scenes and she certainly didn't let us down with these two.

description

What was near and dear to my heart though, was the romance. Every time Wyatt called Kylie "beautiful" my heart melted a little bit.

Of course, there's drama! Their relationship has hit the make or break stage and they both don't want it to end. Wyatt's trying but there are certain things that Kylie needs from him. (I just loved what she heard on the answering machine!) And I loved the tattoos!

description

We also get to know Heidi, Kylie's best friend, and Cal, another YTS band member, better. There's all kinds of hints about whether or not something is going on with them. I would love to get a book about them too!

And I'm happy to see there's plenty of Lucas with a bit of Sienna thrown in. This book runs along the same time line as Devoured so we get a bit of what Lucas and Sienna were going through. I really love Lucas' and Kylie's relationship and it was great reading more about them.

This book ends on a good note but IMO it's unfinished. I had thought the next book, Damaging Me, would be the rest of their story but that seems to be Sinjin's. Hopefully, we'll get some of it as a background story or maybe there's another in the future??

A toxic relationship that spans 7-8 years, full of nothing but lies and cheating. The "hero" can't even say that he loves the heroine until he realizes after 8 years she's finally done; mind you he just got caught in a major lie about cheating on her. This was just a horrible book about a weak woman not understanding her worth and subjecting herself to, what I'm assuming, a lifetime of adultery and lies.

After 8 years he can only say I love you so that he can win the argument and keep her in that sick and twisted co-dependent relationship. And when the heroine finally leaves him and I get excited and think "yes backbone is surfacing!!!" she listens to some sob messages he leaves on her phone, drives to his house and they makeup. All while his daughter from a one night stand he cheated on her with is there. I really wanted to like this book but fuck man, this was more of a cautionary tale on how not to be a fucking idiot and waste your life on toxic people.

The whole thing that I don't understand is how she just takes him back after he point blank lies to her about cheating. They rush off and get tattoos to symbolize their new try at the relationship and then the next morning she has evidence that he lied confronts him. He then puts the blame on her saying that he couldn't tell her because when she said the "skank's" name it looked like she wanted to punch someone.
This is pure manipulation and a form of abuse; the whole idea that the wronged one did something to cause the lie, hit, adultery, etc. that the perpetrator was forced to do that and it wasn't their fault. All followed up with " I love you's" and promises of it never happening again, it's a vicious sick cycle that some people can never leave. To me this isn't romance this is something dark and unhealthy.

"No matter how hard we try, there’s no place for me whatsoever in Wyatt’s life. "

description

Anyone that has read the Devoured series has met the dynamic and spunky Lexi! Lexi is Lucas' little sister and band manager. She loves her brother fiercely, she loves rock and roll, and she loves Wyatt McCrae.

Wyatt McCrae is the epic damaged bass player. He has always loved Lexi and yet his rough and tough rock star lifestyle has always kept them apart.

While reading Devoured, we learned how desperate Lexi is to rid herself of everything Wyatt. She has escaped to New Orleans to try and get him out of her system. However, Wyatt has a completely different idea. Wyatt arrives in New Orleans to try and win Lexi back for good! Although Lexi knows it's bad news to let Wyatt back into her heart, she feels like this is the last time they can be together. As always, he sweeps her back into his arms again!

“I’ve been amazed by you since the first time I touched you, Ky. I’ve wanted every part of you since that day."

description

Wyatt and Lexi end up together on the road. He wants to remind her why they can make things work. The passion between these two is intense and beautiful. It is obvious that Wyatt has caused Lexi a great deal of pain and she is struggling to move past the hurt. Can she truly trust him again?

“I can’t promise you anything, but I know how I feel about you.”  I know that I’ll hate it if he’s with anyone else. I know that if I walk away from him without trying, I’ll spend the rest of my life hating myself, regretting what could have been.

description

There are so many beautiful moments on the road. Wyatt's drive to protect Lexi only makes you love him more. They are obviously so perfect for each other. If only they could move past the hurt and try to start over.

But Wyatt isn't done making mistakes. He lies to Lexi and it drives her away for good this time! I have to admit the reason might seem inconsequential to some. However, I can see why Lexi felt the need to run away.

“We can fix this, Ky,” he says.  I shake my head again, wiping tears from my cheeks. “We’ve been doing this for so long,” I whisper. “It’s amazing we didn’t already give up on each other years ago. Don’t you see it? If we haven’t fixed ourselves by now, how the hell do you think we ever can?”

description

It is Lexi's mom that reminds her to not turn her back on love.

“You don’t know anything until you try. No relationship is perfect, and there won’t ever be one that is. You just have to figure out how to fix yours.”

description

Overall, Savor You was just fantastic. I truly enjoyed every second of the read. I love a strong heroine and a damaged hero. I love it when the author doesn't waste time getting the story going. These two have been through so much and it was breathtaking watching things come together. So you may ask why the four star rating? The ending, although sweet, left much to be desired. After all of the heartbreak, tears, years of brokenness, I felt these two deserved more then a few pages to complete their story. At first, I thought the next book would be a continuation of their story, but alas, it will focus on another broken band member. I would not hesitate to recommend this book to anyone who loves a well written love story. However, be forewarned the ending is left up to the reader. As for me, I imagine a beautiful future for these two.

“Without love, I won’t survive.”

4.5 savory stars!

I ended up liking this one a lot better than Devoured simply because I love, love Kylie. Her push-and-pull relationship with Wyatt was angsty and hot. I connected more with their love story, maybe because they had a long history.

Her history with Wyatt was definitely complicated and full of heartache. They were both in love with each other but are too stubborn to either just let go or work at their relationship. They were the very definition of toxic.

Wyatt really surprised me here. While I would have loved to be in his head, I still fell in love with him. I kinda a have a soft heart for fucked-up heroes who finally realizes his lady love's worth. While Sienna and Lucas have a somewhat dominant/submissive relationship, Wyatt and Kylie are both equals in so many ways. It does cause a lot of heartache between them but their coming together made all that angst worthwhile.

Savor You is a separate series from Devoured but definitely connected. This book would be enjoyed best if read right after All Over You and Devoured. :)

God, I just hate when I stumble across a rock 'n' roll book that leaves me blank, disappointed...
Shit!
I just didn't understand this relationship, you might call me any name in the book, but I don't think that two people who are "on and off" - when they are together they f*ck each other's brains out then they leave each other when the next hardship comes a long and to consider the fact that this kind of shit has been going on for seven years...they've been cheating each other too, well like that's something new, right? and they are supposed to be each other's love of their lives...

well, f*ck it , but I don't get it...

so, blame it on me, then, for not being trendy but this story still gets and "F"

I probably should not have read this book, given the content. This couple took seven years to get together, and during that time the H cheated/hurt the h 18 times. SPOILER. How can any woman stick with a guy after that, and still "love" him? I absolutely disliked the H, and wished the h had more backbone.

Wyatt and Kylie have, over the years, been the best and the worst thing to ever happen to each other. Their relationship appears to follow a vicious cycle whereby they enjoy intense happiness together only to hurt one another, each time a little worse than the last and, as we join them, Kylie is about to give up on all that pain and walk away from Wyatt for good but he’s not about to give up on her so easily.

I really liked Wyatt – he’s an easy-going, charming, tattooed and pierced badboy rocker and he is totally focussed on Kylie. He’s not prepared to let her walk away from him without a fight and is intent on showing her just why she fell for him so hard in the first place. Their scenes together were delicious and I really felt how much he loved her even though he struggled to find the words to tell her.

Kylie is a badass heroine – all spiky blue hair, piercings and blackbird tattoos. She’s Wyatt’s Bluebird and, even though she’s deeply in love with him, something has happened that has made her decide that she just can’t do this anymore. I really felt their pain and their sorrow and their reluctance to let go and was deeply rooting for them to smooth over all the cracks and find that happiness that has always seemed to elusive. I thought the writing style was very atmospheric and it was easy to lose myself in their sexy world.

It all starts right in the middle of the story and I confess I had absolutely no idea what was going on for most of the novel. I’ve never read the Devoured series which runs concurrently with this story and I think I would have understood this better had I read that one so I will say that this doesn’t really work as a standalone novel. Something bad has happened between Kylie & Wyatt at Thanksgiving to prompt her decision to walk away from him for good but I never worked out what that actually was. I got the feeling that I’d jumped right into the middle of a story and had missed a big chunk of the beginning. The series is set to continue so I assume more will be revealed in the second book.

Despite all this, I really did enjoy the writing style and the evocative way that Emily Snow created her scenes and characters and I think I would have enjoyed this much more if I’d read the Devoured Series. I still got really engrossed, still enjoyed the tempestuous relationship between the two central characters and and found myself curious about the biggest picture, about Lucas and the rest of the band. So, I think the failing was mostly mine.

Savoy You is the first book in the spin off series for Devoured where we get up close and personal with Kylie Lucas’s sister and Wyatt Lucas’s best friend and band mate.

Wyatt and Kylie have an 8 year history of dysfunctional hook ups and in Savor You Kylie has finally come to a point in her life when she feel it’s all or nothing for her and Wyatt so she takes a much needed vacation to start the healing process of getting him out of her system, this is until he turns up to try and make things right between them and to remind her why she fell for him in the first place.

Wyatt and Kylie had really great chemistry and you can see how much they love each other but find it so hard to show it.

The book does end on sort of a HFN so I really hope book 2 in this series is a continuation of their love story.

It was a little slow for me. Ky and Wyatt have 8 years of history but we never get to know something more then what the prologue says, the fact that Ky lost her virginity to him, they were never exclusive and the blackbirds Ky (Ky's tattoos, you can see them on the cover) are related to their relationship. There is some talk about a Brenna but nothing is being revealed until the end of the book. Why Wyatt waited so long to go after Ky? Aνd why couldn't he keep his *ick in his pants? I am more interested in Heidi and Cal's story than Ky and Wyatt. Wyatt has to do something more to prove to me that he deserves Kylie.

I give this one a meh. "Savor Me" is not a good stand alone book. Too much of the story is twisted and mangled up with the previous book, and for me who has never read that one, can be a little bite bored with some of the more specific dialogs.

Personally, I was more in the mood for a guy chase. Not one where an insecure bombshell, with an IQ lower than the Dead Sea, chases after the alpha man hormonal sociopath for 20 or more brutalizing chapters of irrelevant drama. You know... the ones you can't find anywhere that cost an arm and a leg. Or was that a left leg, leg arm and the right kidney - or lung?

Perhaps, I feel a much needed change. I was hoping for a strong female whose story is not one where she inadvertently loses herself respect while in pursuit of an artificial idea of what she thinks is a fairy tale relationship, like with the mythical prince charming and all that junk. Because, that is so real life. Like in the movies. It could happen. It could, couldn't it?!

Maybe a story where a strong character doesn't give in to the seduction so easily. A chase where the inner monolog does what they actual say like, "I can't be here cause he'll just do what he always does.” One where she ACTUALLY WALKS WAY. Ha... Now there's a thought.

Even better thought, how about a woman who has....

Wait for it...

Wait for it...

Will power.

I mean, I heard somewhere, once, from some religious man or someone, that the difference between angels and man was that god gave man the power of will. You know choice. Something that is greatly valued by angels since they have none. You would think someone could write an actual story, with a woman who actually had some - How sad to think that women do think, that we are still define ourselves by who we're with, and not so much by who and what we are... Change yourself; stop trying to change the man.

What about a story about a woman that is no longer is for chasing after some man and more adapt to being chased, like in "Singles" with Bridget Fonda (1992). I would say one like Tijan "Fallen Crest High" lead character but that is if you totally block out the guttural let down of the second book and completed block out the existence of it all together.

Anyways, I find these stories lacking of love. They seem to all contain the same cookie cut out Storm Trooper with sub plot, whose love primarily only on themselves. Wait a minute. That's it. What an epiphany, it's the "All about me" generation. And they say that spanking only has negative side effects...

To be truthful, I can't stomach these types of artificial drama. They lack heroes. Women are always pitted against one another for some superficial man. Forget reality that in a few years, any man that drinks and never takes any care of themselves because of their lifestyle will loss all of that. My history professor said once "All you young folk are all in such a hurry to find the better male and settle down. Life is long. Don't rush thing by settling down. Because, in the end... You will have to look at that face For. The Rest. Of. Your. Life." Image is not everything. It fades. That is, until we all are so old and look exactly the same, like Storm Troopers.

I guess what I am getting at is this; we need more stories that lift up the female population instead of continuing to bring them down. How much are perception of image is learned from what we read. There are really some very talented writers in the self published/Contemporary group. The problem is that they are all thinking the same thing. The story and the characters they write are all Storm Troopers, all the same height, all the same voice, the same black and white suite. That is, even despite how well they may be packed with assets, they are still just Storm Troopers.

Be above the rest. Write for the characters that itch to let out from the pages and not for a talent pushed to mass produce the same thing, Storm Troopers.

Most of all keep being inspired.

Rating: B+ ... Heat: Hot

Kylie Wolfe is one tough chick. You'd have to be to put up with the Lucas Wolfe on a daily basis, right? But she does have one weakness, her kryptonite, Wyatt McCrae. These two crazy kids have been put through the emotional ringer, a relationship that's only been hinted at in Devoured, and now we finally get to see Kylie and Wyatt. Their often effed up but always crazy beautiful relationship.

So when these two are forced on a semi-cross country road trip, revisiting painful memories, I was glad to be right there with them. Getting to know them both. Especially since their stops always included a bar, Wyatt being sexy on stage, and a hotel room at the end of the night... Or a laundry room. Wyatt can make washing clothes sexy as sin too, let me tell ya.

“I’ve done exactly what I told you I’d do. I came here with you. I let you remind me of our past, the good and the bad. But, Wyatt, I just can’t anymore.” – Kylie

Not that Kylie’s happy to be around Wyatt, when the whole point of her vacation was to get away from him. Because, after so many years of off and on, of hurting every time they’re off—she’s ready to be be off for good. Kylie wears her heart on her sleeve and, finally, she’s starting to feel worn down. She may look like a wild child, but Wyatt's the only oats she’s ever wanted to sow. She's dedicated to Your Toxic Sequel and all its members, but Wyatt makes her feel too much. If only she could ever say no to him.

"Did you think I'd really give you up so easily, beautiful? Did you really think I'd let you go without reminding you why you fucking fell in the first place?"
– Wyatt

But, really, who would really want to say no to Wyatt? That man, with his sexy lip ring and guitar-string callused fingers is h-o-t. I could immediately feel what drew Kylie to him and kept her coming back. He's broken, he's made dumb mistakes, but deep down he loves her and that's all that matters. And when he sets his mind to wooing a woman, well, she doesn’t really stand a chance. You have to love a guy who’s charm is a little rough around the edges. Wyatt is relentless when it comes to winning Kylie this time because he can tell it’s probably his last chance.

Savor You is one emotional road trip down memory lane. Filled with tension and intimacy and love that sometimes feels toxic. I loved the sense of familiarity and affection—and, most importantly, the friendship—between Kylie and Wyatt. Sometimes love is all about timing and it takes a while for them to get their timing right. I’ve been looking forward to their story, and Kylie as the main character, since Devoured and Miz Snow gave me exactly what I’d hoped for. I love the way she writes rock stars with hard edges… and Wyatt doesn’t disappoint.

“Call it cliché, but when the man you’ve loved since you lost your virginity to him at 17, the heavy sleeper that you’re just a few days away from leaving for good, calls out your name in his sleep, you’ve got no choice but to react.”- Kylie

Savor You tells the story of Kylie; the sister/assistant to Lucas the hunky rock star that you met in the series Devoured. I loved Kylie in Devoured! She didn’t take any nonsense from her rock star brother and told him how it is; the good and the bad. She had spunk and I liked it. I couldn’t wait to read her story, she was mysterious with her love life, including ex husband so I knew her book would be a good one and it’s a SERIES! YaY!

Now, I know this will be asked. Do I need to read Devoured before reading Savor You? The easy answer…NO, but I do recommend reading Devoured first. You can go into Savor You not knowing the characters but Lucas is mentioned throughout the book and you maybe a bit confused on why Kylie is taking a week vacation from her job as Lucas’s assistant with a touch of his story thrown into the book.  Also I think I enjoyed Savor You more so because I knew Kylie from Devoured and really liked her a lot. I think fans of Devoured will appreciate her book more so then others who have not read Lucas’s story.

In Savor You Kylie is taking a week vacation from her job as an assistant. She has boy troubles and needs to get away, but of course the boy who is causing her troubles finds her. Not only does he find her but he is a rock star who happens to be in the same band as her brother. I ADORED Wyatt! I thought he was mysterious, sexy, and I actually found him to be a deep person compared to other rock stars I have read about in books.

Kylie and Wyatt have an on/off relationship/friends with benefits thing going on since Kylie was 17, now she is 25 and is in love with him but Wyatt has yet to tell her how he feels for her. She just wants to get rid of him and move on but he is right there not letting her go. He has always had a hold over her that men she has dated since can’t live up to.

“I’ve done exactly what I told you I’d do. I came here with you. I let you remind me of our past, the good and the bad. But, Wyatt, I just can’t anymore.” – Kylie

As the two are on a road trip Wyatt ends up being there for Kylie in ways she did not suspect and finally their feelings toward one another are revealed. Kylie doesn’t know if Wyatt is really over his rock n’ roll, new girl every night ways, or if he is just saying he is to get her back. I adored these two and they have great potential for an amazing series! I can’t wait to read what is next for these two.

I give Savor You (Savor Us #1) 4 Stars.

We first met Kylie in Devoured, Lucas Wolfe's sister and person assistant. While she is mostly absent from Devoured, Savor You is a glimpse into her life while she was off trying to escape her past & present. Trying to purge Wyatt from her system and failing miserably.

Years of a pseudo-relationship with Wyatt (who is in her brother's band My Toxic Sequel) has taken it's toll on Ky. She has been in love with Wyatt for as long as she can remember but she can't continue to be led down this road any longer. A road that has never lead to anything but let downs and disappointments. She wants more than his time when he can spare it - she wants his heart. So she is finally ready to attempt to let him go - but Wyatt is no where near ready to let her leave his world - not this time.

Forced by circumstances to spend the next few days together, Wyatt is hoping a trip down memory lane will force her to realize that she can't walk away from him. But it's not that she doesn't love him - it's that she is not sure if he can love her, if he even loves her at all.

Now although you don't have to read Devoured & All Over You before this book - I would not recommend it. The plots in those books run at the same time this book takes place, so a lot of the twists and plot will be given away if you do read them out of release order.

I enjoyed Ky's story and the story of Wyatt finally seeing what he has really wanted all these years. It was not an easy road for the two of them and it might not be the smoothest in the future, but being able to experience them coming together after so many years of messing it all up was so worth it.

I wish that we had more details of the reasons why their relationship was always so casual and some longer flashback scenes of them earlier on to really get a bit more out of their current situation. Overall this was a good light read that gave me a HEA without making me want to tear my hair out. And it makes me want Consumed to be out like yesterday. With the bonus scene from the end of Devoured from Lucas's POV at the end of this book - I was very pleased to have an extra moment of Lucas Wolfe, but now want the next book - like NOW!

It was just okay nothing special ...but I feel like the next book will be better . This book feels like a set up to the REAL ROMANCE, THE REAL RELATIONSHIP. This book is not a cliffhanger it is more of to be continued ending.I wish the next book was already out but it's not...I know this is a book that I will have to reread before the I read the next because it is just not that memorable but I know I want to read the next one, if that makes any sense. I know that does not sound like a resounding recommendation but like I said its more like a set up for the next book...I guess the more I think about it , it is like the book stopped in the middle of the story so I want to know the ending. I guess i would recommend that you wait until the next book comes out instead of feeling like you 're in the middle of something and having to wait for the ending . Happy reading

Another great book that’s been lost over the years on my kindle.

I love reading about rockstars and this one was different to any of the others that I’ve read.
It revolves around the Bass Guitarist Wyatt and team manager and sister to the lead singer Kylie. It’s road trip down memory lane and the last hurrah to their really strange and dysfunctional relationship of 8 years.

What is obvious from the very first page is these 2 love each other. They have both hurt each other beyond belief time and again but their love for each other brings them back to each other time and again in spite of all this hurt.

There was no epilogue so the reader is left wondering whether this time it will last.......

This was yet another simply 'eh' book. Nothing exciting, and nothing out of the ordinary. I actually was quite uninterested throughout most of it. I have read Lucas and Sienna's book, but still if there was information I was supposed to remember from that about Kylie and Wyatt I clearly missed it. I was confused throughout most of the book. There were so many secrets set up right from the beginning that were never explained, like:

1 who is Brenna?
2 why was she in Livingston in the beginning?
3 why did her marriage end?
4 if she lost her virginity to Wyatt, and loved him, then why did she marry someone else?
5 how freaking old was she when she got married if she was divorced by 19?
6 what was the connection to New Orleans for them? I thought there was some connection, at least I felt like I read that somewhere
7 what was the connection with Livingston? What happened there?

Some of these were in fact answered in the book, eventually, but not until the VERY end which by that time I was already skimming almost every page looking for the story line.

I can't explain to you what this means, but to me, when I was reading this book, I just didn't feel like it was complete. I'll do my best to explain what I mean by that...this book was missing something to give it the punch or kick that it needed to maintain a reader's undivided attention. The story was there, the characters were basically developed, but that was it. It was all very basic. There was nothing special or stand-out about this book. I needed an energy boost somewhere in it. That is what I mean by it didn't feel complete. Thanks to Good Reads, I at least know that this is the first in a spinoff series which tells me that where the book ended isn't the end of the story for us. However, had I not been a part of this website to know that and read the book, I would have been extremely annoyed with the ending. It just gets us to a point where a few of the questions asked since the first chapter are finally being answered and then BAM, we're done.

I would like to say that I plan to continue reading both this and the devoured series, but since the author is CONSTANTLY pushing back release dates, I can't say that I'll care or remember enough of the story lines to keep going. I am absolutely understanding of wanting to make sure that the story is at its best before releasing it to the public, but the perhaps as an author you shouldn't promise something you can't do. I pre-ordered the second book in Sienna and Lucas's story a while ago, it was supposed to be out next month, and a week ago I got an email saying it was pushed back another two months and won't be out until September now. Really sad, and making me wish I hadn't already laid for it some. Then this book, while it wasn't available for ore-order, it was a full WEEK late from the date promised to us. There are plenty of other authors that will refuse to give a release date until they can guarantee that is an accurate date, so I highly suggest that Ms. Snow start doing the same before she loses some fans.

Summary
Savor You by Emily Snow is a story set in the rock 'n roll world of Devoured. I recommend reading All Over You and Devoured prior to reading Savor You. It might make sense as a stand alone, but is definitely enhanced by reading the other series books first. Savor You is the story of Kylie, sister and personal assistant to rock god Lucas Wolf. She has been engaged in a long term, tempestuous relationship with the bassist in her brother's band, Wyatt McCrae. This story follows her attempts to call it quits and his attempts to start over. Ignore the poor cover with the pregnant looking woman – it's not a story clue. Savor You is a good read and worth the $2.99 ebook price for 186 pages, but not quite as good as the other series installments.

Fantasy World
Readers are taken on a road trip full of small gigs, smelly bars, and interchangeable hotel rooms. The world feels real enough although certain character actions add a jarring note occasionally.

Tingle Factor
Savor You is all about the oral, and actual intercourse is often off stage. The sex also has a very emotional focus. How hot it is really depends on your preferences.

Romance
This isn't your sweet romance novel standard. Kylie and Wyatt refer to their relationship as toxic and it's an accurate description. There is undeniable love and agony in equal portions.

Drama
There is plenty of angst although it is of an are they or aren't they variety. It's not as desperate as Devoured although it has the same flavor. Readers are kept on a precipice trying to figure out if they main characters are going to get their shit together or not.

Heroine
Savor You is not as flattering to Kylie as other books in the Devoured series. She normally appears as a tough, unflappable chick who doesn't put up with any crap. This book reveals how much of Wyatt's crap she has put up with and it's hard to swallow. Yes, tough can be a front for an emotional, sensitive center. However, getting cast aside like a used condom then coming back for more abuse isn't exactly consistent with the Kylie readers have come to expect.

Hero
Wyatt has an abusive past which has left him emotionally stunted and makes it hard for him to sustain relationships. He tries to overcome his issues, but fails often. It's clear he loves Kylie, but just as clear that he hurts her just as often. Wyatt is a sympathetic and attractive character although not as compelling as Lucas.

Please bear in mind that this is a spin-off from the Devoured series and may therefore contain spoilers for that series.

You are all very much aware that I love Lucas Wolfe so I was very excited to be able to get to know his little sister, Kylie a bit better in this spin-off series. Tidbits of Kylie’s story were tantalizingly placed throughout Devoured increasing the desire to understand her better. While a glimpse of Kylie’s relationships, actions and interactions was achieved I still felt as if we had barely touched the surface in trying to understand Kylie. She has a lot of barriers in place that make it difficult to make sense of her actions.

She is a very passionate person, tends to over-react easily and be a little dramatic. She is also totally stubborn with a rebellious streak. However, I didn’t really feel as if I understood Kylie any better at the end of the book than I did at the start. I wanted to know the reason behind her actions. I really want to give you a list of all the questions I have outstanding but I am afraid that it will give spoilers to the story.

The story provided a fresh look at Wyatt making me rethink the assumptions I had made about him. I am still trying to work out whether he acted like a douche because of Kylie’s defense mechanisms or whether his actions triggered her defenses. Some of the background to their relationship was explained but not nearly enough for my liking. I love being able to get into the characters mind completely to know what makes them tick, why they behave in such a way.

It was brilliant to see the parallel story of Lucas and Sienna alongside Kylie and Wyatt’s. Best of all was the bonus scene from Lucas’s point of view which just made me so desperate for Consumed that I cried into my inbox again that the release date has been pushed back to September.

I really enjoyed Savor You and am so very glad that it’s the first in a series and not a stand-alone as I desperately want to know more about Kylie.

I loved Devoured and All over You and I liked Kylie
but I was a bit disappointed with her story.

I couldn't quite engage with her and I must be honest and say I was so not mad about Wyatt......all that...everytime they get together..it's like sex and more sex...after a bit I found myself skimming pages..and that's not good for me!!!

And the end.......I was like

IS THAT IT? IS THAT THE END????

But I guess, this being book #1 in the Savor Series, we will have more on Kylie...and hopefully she will be a bit more interesting!!!

Well.. talk about opening another can of worms. I now know who Brenna is.. and that I really hope that Kylie and Wyatt make it work. They need to learn to trust now that they have the love. :) Loved the Tattoo part!!

BUT now I want to know WTF is up with Lucas, Sienna and Sam.. Dammit!! :)

Cannot wait until Savor Us! :)
