The Prettiest Boy In School...Isn't A Boy! Japanese-American track-and-field star Mizuki has transferred to a high school in Japan...but not just any school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano, she's going to an all-guys' high school...and disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they're more than classmates...they're roommates! Now, Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom, the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates--and the school nurse--must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation...
Hisaya Nakajo (中条比紗也) was a Japanese shōjo manga artist. She also used the names Peco Fujiya and Ryou Fumizuki for doujinshi with her circle, Daisanteikoku.
Volume 13 is basically peak chaos wrapped in school uniforms—secret crushes, absurd misunderstandings, and enough near-reveals of Mizuki’s true identity to make you sweat like Nakatsu in gym class. It’s the kind of volume where you laugh, cringe, and then laugh again because everyone is just that endearingly clueless. Four stars for the comedic timing, the heart-flutter moments, and the fact that somehow, no one still puts two and two together.
Sepulang dari Amerika, kondisi keuangan Mizuki menipis. Dia berniat mencari pekerjaan.
Hara Akiha lalu memberi Mizuki pekerjaan untuk jadi asisten Ebi (mantan istri Akiha yang kini jadi make up artist).

I love this volume! I love getting to know about the other characters, especially Himejima (drama king "dorm leader") and Kayashima ("the ghost guy").
The former is so funny! I always love when he shows up. He's a bit like Nakao, with his self-confidence. I love both of their "quirks".
The short story about Kayashima is a good way to get to know him more. I like it!
I love this volume because of the short stories or dedicated chapters about the other characters. I hope HN will do this more in the next volumes. May progress naman with the main couple, but I like that she's building a connection, in a way, with the rest of the characters too.
Shucks, Nakatsu is really lovable. BFF talaga. Sana bigyan ng lovelife tong second male lead. Hahaha!

Mizuki: It's not like I'm completely clueless, but still... I don't really know what I want to do or what I want to be. Pretty lame, isn't it? I mean, I'm already 17 and seems like everybody's got goals but me.
Sano: You're not lame. Everybody's different. Just because you haven't figured it out yet, it doesn't mean you should force yourself to make a decision right now. You'll figure it out eventually.
Another great installment in the random high school life of Mizuki, a girl pretending to be a boy-at an all boys boarding school. Enjoyable. I also loved the extra stories especially the look at Kayashima, how he came to be 'friends' with roommate Natasku (spelling??) and how he gained the little twin brothers (of Himejima) then says 'he attracts weird creatures >-< lol. Looking forward to the next one!! :D
This whole volume is just filler. It was nice getting to know the ghost kid’s backstory. Mizuki’s new internal struggle is relatable. Mizuki and Sano are still adorable. But there’s not much really going on in this main plot wise. 3/5
Oh my god!!!1! I loooove this seriesss!! It's my favorite shoujo series and my second favorite manga series of ALL TIME! I just love everything about it!! I would totally do what Mizuki did.. though I don't think I could get away with it.... especially not in a Japanese school... -_- WELL! That's just not fair. Anyway, It's sooooo funny! AH! It's all so great! I can't contain the fan-girl in me! :O I even loved the TV series! (Especially the Taiwanese one! Ella and Jiro were hilarious!)
I binge read all of Hana Kimi. It's easy to see why that is so easy once you get into the second chapter of the series. Hana Kimi is filled with complex character moments, tension, and fun. All the characters come to life and its hard to put the story down. I've read my fair share of manga over the years and will continue to. I have the feeling that Hana Kimi will remain one of my favorites. I can't wait to get in a reread.
What can I say? Hana-Kimi is still excellent and still one of my favorites. Mizuki is her typical self and has a somewhat typical adventure with the supermodel Alex, but even though it was all pretty predictable, I enjoyed it. PLUS some Kayashima action! Normally I don't like flashback stories, but I love Kayashima and really enjoyed his.
Lucky volume 13! :D This is one of my favourite volumes in the Hana Kimi series. Mainly because Kayashima is one of my favourite characters... I mean look, he's on the COVER! Anyway, fangirling aside, this was a pretty nice tribute-ish volume to Kayashima. I can see your aura! XD
This the first manga graphic that I have read. It's interesting and I can see why young people like them. Took a bit of practice to read it as one should but I managed. It's a read about young people and their concerns. Rather nice.
