I struggled with the heroine, Athena, at the beginning of the book, just didn't care for her. I pushed through and warmed up to her and realized why she was the way she was. But her character development was executed well and liked her character arc.

I found the hero, Draco, to be wonderful, but the last chapter or so his character changed and I just didn't work with who he was for the entire book. I appreciated his alpha, but mature, character until the end he became someone else. Did a one eighty in being aware and intuitive in who Athena truly was. And he also became way too syrupy and over the top in the end.

Was pretty much a enjoyable read with some bumps along the way.

I received an ARC from the author.

This is an enemies to lovers romance book that I really enjoyed. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I recommend this book.

Draco buys Athena’s family's shipping empire and her older brother works it out so that Athena and her brothers have to work for him for 3 months. “ Buying out a multi-billion shipping company was never going to be plain sailing, but he'd never imagined the biggest headache would come in the form of a five-foot-seven blonde. In just one month, Athena had worked-and he used the term in its loosest sense — in six different Tsaliki Shipping departments”.

During this time Draco and Athena fall for each other but it’s not easy. She is a hot mess and spoiled her whole life so now that she is on her own & working (thanks to her older brother), there are a ton of challenges (sassy mouth, not use to a schedule or being aware of situations). “ She was his burden to bear until their contracted time was up, angel face and viperous tongue and all”. I also liked that Draco’s mom had a connection to Athena before he did and she shed some light on Athena’s childhood. This allowed Athena to be more likable and you can understand her more. Fighting it all the way they end up falling in love.

Since childhood Athena Tsalikis feels abandoned by her family.
Greek billionaire Draco Manolis aims to acquire his rival’s business Tsalikis Shipping. The deal has one condition: He must employ all Tsalikis siblings including his enemy’s daughter, scandalous party girl Athena Tsaliki. If he fires her he'll have to pay a billion dollars penalty so Athena works very hard at being fired hoping to claim her inheritance and her freedom from everyone. Draco decides to supervise her work personally and spending time with her allows him to see a real Athena; a vulnerable girl who has nobody on her side.
Love the book .....

Review of advance copy received from Publisher

Draco and Athena had an unfortunate past connection and Draco, like many, made assumptions about Athena. Athena, for her part, was not innocent of treating others to the sharp side of her tongue and behaving in a manner to make people see her as a vapid and flighty society princess. However, as Draco gets to know Athena more deeply, he finds a woman who strikes out at others before they can hurt her and who has created a thick armor to protect her emotions. But she also craves connection and the confidence that she won’t be abandoned. Lots of heat, LOTS of angst. REALLY held my attention!

I received a free Advance Review Copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Draco and Athena are bound by his mother and her father in the past. Her step mother had Draco's mom fired as a maid and Athena was attached to her as a mother figure. Draco buys her family's shipping empire and her older brother works it out so that Athena a her brothers have to work for him for 3 months. During this time Draco and Athena fall for each other but he's afraid of her party girl reputation and she's afraid of being left and feeling unloved again. Fighting it all the way they end up falling in love and have to overcome the feelings that keep them apart. This is a good book and I enjoyed reading it.

Worth the Wait

I preordered Greek Boss to Hate weeks ago and it was well worth the wait. Half romcom, half soulful angst, this book was the perfect blend. The love-making scenes were passionate, yet tender and I loved Athena and Draco. Athena is more than meets the eye and Draco gets to know the "real" Athena behind the spoiled, mean girl facade. I really loved this book and I can't wait for more from author, Michelle Smart.
