Rate this book
Their love was destined to save worlds... but at what cost?

Amelia and Erin thought they had defied fate—that love could conquer all. But between humans and vampires, nothing is ever simple.

Now revered as the Salvatore Regina and her warrior protector, the queens foretold in ancient prophecy, they stand on the frontlines of a battle to save their kind and unite two worlds.

When Grand Master Mohan’s daring plan to reveal vampires to the President of the United States backfires, humanity’s reaction is swift and merciless. Torn from their Hawaiian honeymoon and hunted by enemies on all sides, Amelia and Erin must fight for their lives—and for the future of vampirekind.

With a centuries-old prophecy looming, they face impossible choices that could cost them everything, even each other.

Fighting for Infinity is the adrenaline-fueled conclusion to the Immortality a slow-burn sapphic paranormal romance packed with political intrigue, soulbond passion, and the fight for a future worth living.

4 stars. Good conclusion to this really fun series but this was honestly my least favorite of the trilogy. It had great and intense moments and I still very much love Amelia and Erin and their romance but yeah, there was something about it that didn't completely work for me. The stakes didn't feel as high as they should have and the sex scenes threw off the pacing at times. Book two is my personal favorite of the three but I’d still highly recommend this series though.

Fighting for Infinity, the satisfying conclusion to the Loch & Key trilogy, is more action packed, higher stakes, and a bit darker than the two previous books, but don’t worry: it still brings all of the love and heat that’s so central to the series. Unlike the first book which gave us Amelia’s perspective, or the second which gave us Erin’s, the final installment gives us an alternating perspective from both women, as the story sends them off on different quests in an attempt to bring peace to both vampires and humans alike.

You really need to read the whole trilogy in order as none of them are stand-alone, and without all of the background, character development, and worldbuilding, the story just won’t make sense. If you’ve already done this, then you’ll probably agree with me when I say that Root’s take on vampires is different than any I’ve read before, and I find it so enjoyable. Rather than bloodthirsty monsters who feed on humans, her vampires are peaceful, family-oriented, loving individuals with a huge emphasis on community and belonging. That makes the darkness in this final book all the more heartbreaking, but the conclusion so sweet.

I received a free ARC from the author, but my review is unbiased and left voluntarily.

Amazing and fulfilling end to a unique vampire trilogy! This book included both Amelia’s and Erin’s POVs which was lovely and wonderful and added a depth and understanding to the characters and story. Book 1 was in Amelia’s POV and book 2 was in Erin’s POV. So having both in this, book 3, was a perfect culmination/conclusion of the trilogy.

The world building throughout was well done both in its similarities to our own world and in its uniqueness of the vampire world. Not only is the vampire story different from any others I’ve read, Amelia and Erin’s love story is as well. They fall into tropes many of us love but not the way that is often repeated in story after story (one reason we read them) but in a way that is so beautiful, intense, powerful and very gloriously steamy!

Highly recommend all three books, and yes you do need to read them in order and you won’t regret it!!!

I'm pretty happy with this trilogy. It was a different take on vampires and made for an interesting and satisfying read. Alyson is proving to be a reliably good author, and we can never have enough of those. Highly recommended.

Definitely a great series. A great take on vampires, original story. The French connection series was good but I really really hope this author continues with some of this type of fantasy.

This is the 3rd book in the Loch & Key series.

Amelia, Erin and all Vampires in the States have gone into hiding after Mohan, their Grand Master, excitedly outed them to the US President, claiming them as the Vampire Queens in a prophecy.
We all know humans don't take well to the unknown/ things they fear!!

In book 3 both Amelia and Erin have their own individual journeys to take as they try to come to terms with their new position within the vampire community and their new found powers.

When Erin starts having a reoccurring dream involving a jungle and a voice calling to her, at the same time as their friends are captured , she and Amelia have to make the hard decision to be apart from each other.
Erin must set out on a journey to find who's calling to her and Amelia sets off on a rescue mission!.

We get to see a totally different side to Lucille in this book as well and how she really feels about Amelia 🥰...

Poor Amelia is struggling the most with the new developments and is scared of becoming a monster.
All she needs is Erin to hold her and calm her but she's not around.

Both MCs balance each other out well throughout the series and this book is no different.. We still have funny moments, plenty of spice ❤️‍🔥 ❤️‍🔥 but above all else we have respect and an eternity of love.
They truly are soulmates

As usual Alyson Root gives us another fabulous ride and a new twist on the whole vampire mythology.
I'm going to miss Amelia and Erin....

This was a satisfying end to a great trilogy. Amelia and Erin are on the run, not only to save themselves but to save their fellow vampires from being hunted by those who fear the unknown. Unlike the first two books, they spend a lot of time apart in this one as they're each on separate journies. Amelia and Erin are great characters and the interactions with their friends, family and the new vampires introduced here are well written. There's plenty of action that kept me engaged and the conclusion was what I hoped it would be. I highly recommend this series.

Another action-packed story in the Loch & Key series. I positively loved it. I’m always amazed at how Alyson knits so many different elements of a story together. I thoroughly enjoyed the ever-deepening relationship between Erin and Amelia, the 🌶️ scenes were excellently written as always and the action kept me on the edge of my seat. What an incredible conclusion to this series! I’m amped that my favorite vamps continue to kick ass!

Satisfying ending...

But these girls go through hell to get there.

As with the other two books, the tropes are there, but they're approached with creativity and kept me guessing. I got impatient with Amelia again, but the characters still are internally consistent. I didn't expect to enjoy this series as much as I did, and I recommend it if you're tired of the same old tropes done in the same old ways.

Great book!

Very good ending for a unique sapphic vampire trilogy. I love the way vampires are a part of normal world just another species in these books. It is such a special take on the subject. Wonderful conclusion to the Erin and Amelia’s love story. It was beautiful, powerful, spicy, funny and entertaining.

I do hope there will be more of a paranormal romance books from this author.

This is the 3rd and final installment of Alyson Root's vampire series. This is one of the greatest vampire series I've read in a while. And not just because of the writing. There is a whole different take on vamp culture, history, and struggles. In many ways, the vamp community is an allegory to any minority community at any time or place in humanity's history. I say that, knowing that the author belongs to one of those minorities and so it reflects, to me, part of her own experience and understanding of the world around us.
It is wonderful, and optimistic, and hopeful.
I loved it!

This is also a deeply erotic romance that doesn't shy away from emotional intimacy, open discussions of joint decisions, fear of the future, etc. I love that the couple MCs insist on talking to each other as a way toward solutions, trusting in their honest connection and bond to help them through disagreements.

Highly recommended as part of the series. I do not believe this book is a standalone. Read the first and second before you get to this one. The journey is so worth it.

I couldn't wait to read "Fighting for Infinity" by Alyson Root. After reading this book - I read it once more. This book starts off with Erin and Amelia being ripped from their honeymoon, only to go on the run, since the president's directive is to capture them. They are just wanting to find a way to get back to their family. They face several challenges in this book, from the presidents and learning to navigate their new abilities. Alyson once again skillfully intertwines different themes, my favorite is the love these two have for each other. Another is the way they protect themselves and the vampires. They do it in such a way to make sure a war can be avoided. I have to say though, that the way she writes the deep bond between Erin and Amelia throughout this book is done beautifully. It completely shows the lengths that they will for not only each other, but others as well. If you haven't read this book, please pick up a copy and you won't regret it.

The best end to the best trilogy, I loved this series more than I thought I ever would, it was perfect throughout and ended perfectly.
I felt so connected to all the characters, the entire Loch family was my absolute favorite book family, and all of the family friends too.
You would think it would be hard to develop as many characters as this book series does so well, while also making the reader be able to connect to them and see their personalities so clearly but this book series does just that, the character growth too, throughout was perfect, so well paced and thought out.
I loved this series so so much, there was no bad book, all three were amazing and it’s actually so hard for me to pick a favorite.
I will never forget this series, I am so grateful I got to experience the second and third early, this has truly been the best experience and I could not recommend this series enough!

A worthy conclusion to the Loch & Key series.
Erin and Amelia have to overcome a lot and overcome emotional and physical wounds and hurdles.
It makes sense to read the first books and the series, as they are not stand-alone books but rather the books follow one another in development.
I don't want to spoil anything about the story, so I'll just say that I suffered and hoped and feared with them.
A lot is at stake and a decision leads to catastrophic consequences.
The queens have to find a way to prevent everything or even reverse it.
To do this, they are even willing to go their separate ways to get to their goal faster and make themselves vulnerable! Will it be worth it?
Exciting, nerve-wracking and it gets hot and hotter! Wonderful and written with a lot of emotions and deep feelings!
Thanks so much for the ARC to Alyson Root!!

Fighting for Infinity is a great ending to a great trilogy. Amelia and Erin are great MC’s. Their connection is deep and they work hard to keep the relationship healthy. I love the spice between them. Make sure and read the first two books before this oneI Now that the government has become involved, this are tough on everyone. There is tremendous pressure on our MC’s to save everyone and fix the situation. The way they work it out is brave and very clever. The secondary characters are great and bring so much to the book. Amelia’s family are so loving and weird. Dealing with Erin’s ex is funny and charming. I loved how this book tied everything up while still introducing new elements. Just when you think there is smooth sailing, our couple must work out another snag. I would definitely recommend this book and this whole trilogy.

This conclusion of the author’s vampire trilogy is another very readable romp. I was right in thinking chapters might switch between Amelia and Erin after book 1 being all from Amelia’s perspective and book 2 from Erin’s. There’s more power development for both MC’s and a period here when they split up in order to deal with two issues. They’re stronger and more entertaining together, so this makes events a little disjointed. However, when they get back together and follow through on their plans, I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that things work out as you would wish…a good conclusion to a different take on vampires; where there’s minimal blood and gore and where the vampires are, almost universally, complete sweethearts!

I loved the 1st book in the series where a completely new type of vampire was presented that was so new and fresh vs. in so many other books. Then we got a lot of action in the 2nd book that I also enjoyed, such a change from the first sweet book.

With the 3rd book I struggled a bit since I did not really get the sweet relationship building and hot chemistry as in the 2 first book in the series. It was more about fighting for survival and save the vampire species and way too little romance between Amelia and Erin. I enjoyed reading the conclusion of the series though and I highly recommend The Loch & Key Series as a whole.

Fighting for Infinity continues the story of Amelia and Erin as the find themselves and their kind hunted by special forces troops at the behest of the President of the United States.
Amelia and Erin are desperately trying to get back to the safety of their family, friends have been taken by special forces and are likely being tortured or destroyed.
Both Amelia and Erin are struggling to come to terms with their new powers.
Follow their story as it unfolds.
I would recommend reading book 1 (Risking Immortality) and 2 (Waiting for Eternity) in the series before delving into book 3, Fighting for Infinity, as you will get more from this book with the background in book 1 &

I have been a huge fan of this series and LOVED the first 2 books but had a really hard time getting into the story line of this one. The spice and relationship dynamic between Amelia and Erin were amazing per the usual for this series but the plot and story progression was really lacking for me. Typically I will read a book in a day but this one I had to keep putting down and coming back to as it could not hold my interest and took me weeks to get through. Overall a good read but not the as good as the rest in the series.

This book begins with Erin and Amelia on the run, and trying to get back to a safe house and their families. As they learn how to use their new abilities new problems arise with the biggest being what to do about the president wanting them taken. A great story of love, protection, and how to save all vampires without having to go to war. Love their connection to each other and the lengths they will go for each other.

Ties up the whole trilogy neatly, and maintains a nicely high spice level.

I started reading The first Book of this trilogy on a whim. I was so captivated I had to read the second one, and now that we've got the entire trilogy, I can only tell new readers to just dive into the first one and float on along until it's done. It's a little wild in places, it's very hot in places, but it's the best thing I've read in this genre in a long time.

I was so eager to read this book after finishing the second one, and the best part was that it was released early, so I could dive right in. I absolutely loved it! The story explores the emotions that come with wielding power and the realization of the unintended harm one might cause. The author's writing style is captivating, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of their work. Highly recommend it!

Fighting for Infinity is the action-oriented conclusion to the Loch and Key Series. The story arc takes a dark turn as Erin and Amelia deal with the fall-out of the revelation that vampires exist. As they discover more things about themselves their relationship is tested repeatedly. The full supporting cast from earlier books returns with a few additions. This is a good read with several dramatic moments and eventually a happily ever after conclusion.

Remembering you you are

Wow what a finish to the series. I adore this take on vampires and humans co-existing. Amelia and Erin have their greatest battle yet to come. They are an amazing & passionate couple. I was totally swept up in the story and will dearly miss them. With support from family and their community they set off on a dangerous journey to save the vampire community. A must read series n my opinion.

This is a very exciting end to what’s been a really good series. Less romance and more action in this one. Amelia and Erin are fighting for their love, their survival and their fellow vamps.
The family as always make entertaining side characters. Books should be read in order to fully understand the dynamics and the background of the characters.

I was really worried where the story was going in book 2. Having really loved the fun and flirty romance of the first book, the 'chosen one's trope turning up in book two was a bit of a let down.
Happy that this book sticks the landing and finishes the trilogy off in a way that feels very authentic to its origins.

When push comes to shove everyone looks to one person.
She is overwhelmed and not fully capable yet.
Mysterious dreams and personal lines being cross cause interesting friction and creative solutions.
Not everyone would solve the issues this way but she has to try.
