Sugarbush season is my favorite time of the year. Fresh fallen snow delicately crunching under my hooves, the stillness of the forest, and the delicious sap budding from the bark of every tree. Well, it was my favorite season until I discovered that two of these trees are shifters and my beloved dessert is more than just sap. And now that they know I’m a shifter too, they are doing everything in their power to stuff me full, time and time again. It’s becoming a very messy, sticky, winter. Is it wrong that I’m beginning to like it? Perfectly Glazed is an 18+ erotic novella between two tree shifters and the moose shifter they become obsessed with. Get ready for some sappy fun, a lot of stickiness, and a woman who’s about to be filled in every possible way.
African American. Indie Author. Chaos Writer. Polyamorous & Found Family Stories Brought to Life. From PRN to fantasy, contemporary to dark & twisted, there's a little something for everyone.
Perfectly Glazed is a fast-paced, non-plot, with an emense amount of smut. It definitely had it's "what the f^ck" moments and "I don't know why I like it so much" moments. It was a read that had me guessing my reading choices at times. It's one of those you are so invested you have to keep going. I was definitely engulfed into Misty's sap obsession (and not your typical sap either if you catch my drift.) with the two tree shifters Birch and Pine. If you like a moose shifter who is addicted to tree shifters sap to the point she is over indulged in tree sap this is the book for you. N. Slater did a magnificent job with this story and guess what?! I can’t wait for more!
Quotes & Passages
Screw it. I shift, my body shrinking and warming as I slip into human form, n@ked in the snow. I don’t care as I bend over, wrapping my lips around the spout. A little mo@n escapes me as the sap spills into my mouth, sweet and thick, coating my tongue just the way I love it. I curse my overactive imagination—tree shifters with magic c0cks full of sap? Ridiculous. I’m fine. This is fine. “Don’t worry, little moose,” he murmurs against my lips. “We’re going to take good care of you.” “You’re ours now, little moose,” Birch muses. “So round, so perfect. I think I’m going to get addicted to this—to you like this. We’ll have to keep you full, won’t we? Little ones, one after another.”
Where do I begin? This story is so good. I didn't think I needed a book about two trees named Birch and Pine and a moose shifter that leaks syrup after the sugar bush season..... but alas, I don't regret reading it. In fact... I might need a little more therapy from reading it because why was it so hot? Can someone answer that? Who the heck likes trees and mossessss?? Me apparently. If you want something that you read and tilt your head like that meme that goes, no... well.... hmmm, maybe... this is your book. Go buy it.... rent it... read it... I don't care what you do, but you need Birch, Pine and the moose shifter asap!
This is such a great novelette. It's funny, hot af, and will have you seriously questioning your own kinks. "What? A tree and a moose?" But seriously, somehow, it works. It works a little *too* well. I mean, she drinks his sap and... my lord, it's just so good. The creativity is off the charts. My friends and I were asking each other what was wrong with us while reading but in the best way!
Check your triggers though! It is quick, spicy, and a crazy, noncon, wild ride! So make sure you are fully prepared and you go in expecting some serious insanity and fun.
Perfectly Glazed, book 1 of the new series Downright Shenanigans by N. Slater @slater.47. First off, I am a fan of Nic’s & this book was no different! Please read the trigger warnings!
Such a good book about Pine, Misty & Birch! Tropes: Contemporary, Moose Shifter, Tree Shifters, High Spice, Secret Trope That I Love & HFN!
Do you know how there are books that you never knew you needed? Well, this is one of them!
Do I need therapy because I apparently have issues...possibly...will I ever look at the sugarbush the same way? NOPE! Will I laugh every time I am in the bush making syrup...YES!
Besides that, this book is so good, well-written, and amazing overall!

I'm...not really sure what to say here. This was a quick read, totally awkward but I found myself laughing at parts of it. Tree shifters and a moose shifter? Fun and definitely weird.
