I put my treacherous fated mates in their My bed A jail cell Their grave
That should have been the end of it, but of course, Luame never would’ve given me soulmates who took it lying down. I have a war to fight on all fronts, but it’s the war for my heart that I’m losing—badly.
Life has never been more dangerous. The fate of Wolf Nation and millions of lives rests on my shoulders. I don’t have time for love!
Do you believe me? No?
Yeah, those hot alpha bastards don’t either.
Moon Cursed is the second book in the Corvin Academy trilogy. This book features spicy spice, language, and fierce wolves who never surrender.
Ruby Vincent is a published author with many novels under her belt but now she's taking a fun foray into contemporary romance. She loves saucy heroines, bold alpha males, and weaving a tale where both get their happy ever after.
I really had no clue how to feel about this book....
I'll probably read the next to see how it continues but I just finished it and felt even more confused. I really wish these characters would communicate....
I hated this series. It has such a good structure laid out and yet the author manages to lose it anytime anything gets good. The ending of the book was garbage and it infuriated me. It frustrated me to no end that they these supposed mates were so, so terrible but treated her the worst.
I just read Moon Kissed a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it and was looking forward to Moon Cursed. Unfortunately this book falls flat for me. First of all, it doesn’t really reintroduce any of the characters, so I had to go back to Moon Kissed to look up which character was which, especially in the harem, and I realized that even in the first book, the way the characters and their introductions was done was pretty convoluted and confusing. Even after reading both books now, I could not tell you what any of the characters Tera are supposed to look like and only have a minor grasp of who has which power. The conclusion of the book and the ultimate climax with the villains of the story was very rushed and Badr and Orion’s part in that was unsatisfying. The romance aspect of the harem just wasn’t there for me with any of the characters in this book. Paxton was the most featured and all the MMCs were basically side characters or antagonists. Cliffhanger ending leading to the eventual bigger war that was mentioned throughout the book as part of what Luame’s visions could really be about.
Where the hell is Luame the fucking goddess? Why is she allowing all this bad shit to happen? How can the council just name someone a high priestess? Ash is an alpha and if I understand correctly, the priestesses are all epsilons.
I would probably give this book a higher rating if it had ended here. But no, the author had to make the story even more convoluted and add another cliffhanger. I feel kind of bad because I usually really like books by Ruby, aka R.A. Vincent. This one just didn’t do it for me. There was too much obfuscating of the characters and their motives.
It seems to me that situations are emerging that should have remained in the ether. HEA could have happened and the reader would be content and none the wiser.
I probably will read the next book when its published but will do so somewhat reluctantly.
I read the first book and it had some promise, but this one was just excruciating. I couldn't even finish it. The main character is so whiney and brash. She's supposed to be a mom? And in her 20s? No, I'm sorry. I give people more credit than that. Even "sheltered" people, once faced with tough situations, grow and command their own emotions and reactions. I would guess the main character to be 15 years old, the way she acts and is treated.
I made a special tag just for this book so I remember I didn't like it, didn't finish it, and should never go back to the series.
Nooo. That ending?! My heart is literally in tatters on the floor because oh my I was not expecting that ending! It was amazing to see all the twists and turns leading up to the ending, and finding out the truths behind all the events had happened, but now I’m an anxious mess wishing my life away until the next one comes out. Off to pick up my ruined heart and stare at the wall a little.
10/10 if you haven’t read this book you are missing out massively!
These Ruby Vincent books are getting more and more ridiculous. There is no story here, no character development. Honestly, I would not even say this series has characters. Just a bunch of names and some dialogues and insults slapped together. Not sure if this was meant to be some kind of an allegory to real world politics. If so, it definitely missed the mark. In short, this book has nothing. Save yourself some time.
This one was not as good as the previous book. What I enjoyed about the MC in the first book was diluted in this book. I am not too big on conspiracy thrillers, which this series is leaning towards. However I will probably read more from this author, as the world building and character development is pretty good.
I was really hoping after the first book we were going somewhere. Lots of plots and twists are awesome, and that’s what I really loved about the first book. However, the end just completely ruined this series for me. Too forced, and not sure I like where the story is going .
I didn't think anything could compete with all the shocking twists and turns of book 1, but here comes book 2 to prove me wrong!! My jaw was on the floor for the last few chapters yet again!! Wow!! Ruby is a frickin genius!
I loved this book and series. Daze is so sassy. I get so frustrated for her. She is trying to save her world and the people she loves. When something comes really good for her, the bottom falls out from under her.
Loved this story and how things were working out for the FMC. Until the end of three damn book, smh. I've been patiently waiting for Book 3 Corvin Academy for almost a year now. Please Ruby, please let us know what happened to the baby.
Pleeaasse! This was amazing, different enough to keep me engaged in the story and wanting more. I wish we could have seen more groveling but maybe that’s coming in book 3? (Book 3 is coming, right?)
I love Ruby Vincent's writing! Just when she gets you to relax and makes you think you know what's going on... BAM! She pulls the rug from under you. I can't wait for book 3!
Read my book review of Ruby Vincent’s Moon Cursed, book two of Corvin Academy. This is a dark reverse harem paranormal romance, with bulling in an academy setting.
