This was a good book in the Eva Rae Thomas series. This one had Eva Rae's daughter helping to solve the mystery.

Willow Rose continues to thrill, another book to read in one sitting because you can't put it down.
FBI Agent Eva Rae Thomas was looking forward to letting her hair down, she was meeting up with daughter Olivia and he mum friends, on a sun soaked private island, to celebrate the twentieth birthday of Olivia's best friend, Mark, a much needed break of sun, sea and cocktails, no thought of police work until...........
Mark's lifeless body is found bobbing face down in the surf, his horrified mother accuses Olivia of his murder because she was the last person to be seen with him.
There is nothing more tenacious that a mother protecting her young and Eva Rae comes out fighting, not her daughter!
Eva Rae uses all her resources and soon discovers that this could be history repeating itself, could it be the same killer ?
The local police were quite vocal on insisting that Eva Rae keeps her nose out and leaves it to them, they obviously didn't know Eva Rae.
This is a gripping story full of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end, there are red herrings by the bucketful, and no, I didn't guess who the murderer was, I was way off the mark.

WOW! This is the 17th book in one of the most edge of your seat thrilling series which a fantastic main character! FBI Agent, Eva Rae and her daughter, Olivia were invited to a birthday party in the Keys for the son, Mark from one of her mother's group friends. Hoping to have a nice relaxing vacation, Eva Rae was soon to see it would not be. The next morning, Mark's body was found floating in the ocean. The main suspect is Olivia, Eva's daughter since she was the last once seen with the victim. Eva Rae was told by the police to stay out of it and leave the investigation to them. BUT never cross a mother bear when one of her kids are involved. What's worse is Olivia is closed mouthed. What did she see what is she worried about? Who is the stranger? We are taken on an edge of your seat roller coaster ride that keeps you guessing until the surprise ending! Not only do I recommend this book, but I recommend this whole entire series if you like well written, edge of your seat thrillers with a very strong main character. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions here are strictly my own.

Families have secrets, but few are buried deep enough to stay buried, they have a way of surfacing at the most inconvenient time. This is a twisted tale of betrayal and deceit that not only rips a family apart but takes the lives of innocent kids.
Javier is correct when he says "Love isn't a choice or a mistake...it just is". Unfortunately those who are bitter slice that love to shreds with words that are daggers, piercing deep and twisting for ultimate pain....they are cruel.
Eva Rae struggles to keep focused on the facts of the case when Olivia becomes the only suspect, mother's instinct to shield overshadows the agents need for cold hard facts, as she wrestles between mother and agent which will come out on top?
The perpetrator is not a huge surprise when unveiled, it was always one of two...but you are kept guessing until the bitter end.

The setting is on a private island and they both jump at the chance to relax and enjoy the beach. However, the son turns up dead on the beach the next morning. Police are summoned, and someone said they saw him and Olivia kissing on the beach that evening. Eva Rae must now find out the truth to protect her daughter. It’s a mother’s nightmare.
It was an exciting read and the ending was nothing like I expected. I totally recommend this book, especially if you have read any of the Eva Rae Thomas FBI Mystery Books.

The lure of sun, sand and cocktails is a dream come true for FBI Agent, Eva Rae. She is looking forward to being just a Mom with her daughter Olivia and meeting up with long time friends on a private island for a birthday celebration.
What she doesn’t expect is to be thrown into a murder investigation when Olivia’s friend, Mark, is found dead.

A relaxing vacation and a chance to spend time with friends takes a dark turn, and Eva Rae won't rest until she finds out the truth. Eva Rae Thomas has quickly become one of my all-time favorite characters in this genre. All of the characters are realistically portrayed and compelling. As usual this book kept me engrossed from the first page, then the end made me gasp and left me reeling. I will always, highly recommend books by this author to other readers.

Another wonderful story by Willow Rose. Eva Rae is looking forward to spending a weekend with her daughter, Olivia, and her friends at a birthday party for one Olivia's friends. When Mark turns up dead, all suspicion is on Olivia. Eva Rae goes into detective mode to find out what really happened. I like the way the story is told bringing the past to light and connecting the storyline. The twists were well crafted and I did not see the ending coming. I would highly recommend this book. I usually enjoy the Eva Rae series, but this time the author seemed to "phone it in." Her descriptions seemed like they were pulled from a dime store romance novel. She used the phrase "sun-kissed" so many times I wanted to scream. AND... she used the trope "I released a breath I didn't realize I was holding," TWICE in this book.
The twist at the end I could see coming a mile away. Hopefully, this is a one of and the next book I read by this author will return to her usual well-written mysteries.

Not My Daughter, by Willow Rose is number 17 in the Eva Rae Thomas series. Unfortunately, I am not enjoying them as much as I used to. What happened to the police this time? They show up when the death takes place, threaten Eva Rae to stay out of their way and case, and are never heard from again? She calls her friend @ FBI for help, he agrees, but never heard from again. Don’t worry though Eva Rae is a hero despite chasing after her daughter a few times + without much police work.

Another great Eva Rae book. This time she's on a getaway to celebrate the birthday of the son of a friend. And her older daughter is with her. When the birthday boy ends up dead, suspicion lands on Olivia, Eva Dad's daughter. The story takes some interesting twists and the real killer is identified. Both Eva Rae and Olivia are physically injured, but their relationship is strengthened.

This is a thrilling read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building.

An Island getaway, mysteries, murders. Eva Rae to the rescue.
This is the first Eva Rae book that I liked 5 stars worth. I still didn't like all of the soppy mom and daughter stuff, but I did like the mystery and action! I usually like Willow Roses books 5 stars worth, but the Eva Rae series 4 stars worth, this book broke the 4 star level!

Loved spending time with Eva Rae and her daughter Olivia. This story was an edge of your seat thrill ride until the surprise ending. Never would I have guessed who the killer was until their name was spoken. The characters were multifaceted and well defined. A very enjoyable read!

Received as ARC. Poor Eva Rae. Her and Olivia are invited to a private island for a birthday party for one of Eva's acquaintances. Unfortunately, the birthday boy is found murdered the next day. After suspicion falls upon Olivia, Eva Rae goes to work. A fantastic plot, with fascinating characters. A fun read with a surprise ending.

Disappointed!
It seems to me that the author is spitting each new book out too quickly, making the stories a mere shadow of the earlier ones. The Eva Rae series has been my favorite of the authors many titles, but I may be giving it up. This is at least the third entry that lacked substance, suspense and writing skills. Sorry but I am very disappointed!

The books in this series are always a pretty quick and easy read for me. While I thought the crime was interesting enough, Eva Rae and her daughter Olivia really irritated me in this one. Olivia is being blamed for murder and her mom is trying to solve the case, but their behavior was just off; not serious enough. I think it was just the writing on this one.

In my opinion, Not My Daughter, by Willow Rose, is the best Eva Rae story Willow Rose has written. I read the book in one sitting, It has everything you could want in a good mystery story.

I found this book's .plot Intriguing ,interesting from the first pages.
Paradise Island has secrets, can Eva Rae uncovers them to protect her daughter.
It held me captive to the last pages, of how it would turn out.

I am usually a Willow Rose fan but this was just not her best effort. I skimmed through 50% of the book. You will notice the dialogue becomes very repetitive. One character will make a statement and then the response to that is just a repeat of the same words…..a little disappointed.

Never lets me down
I was so happy to see anew book out by Willow Rose. The stories are always so full. Full of emotion, drama, family etc. The story captures you from the first page until you arrive at the last page hoping its.not the end.

I normally love this series… But the writing in this book seemed different than all the rest. It was very wordy and had adjectives for its adjectives, which were very unnecessary. It was truly a struggle to get through.
