Stacking Hassles
In Stacking Hassles, comedian Kevin Whelan covers various topics effecting the human condition in the 21st century. With material ranging from the highest levels of human wit, all the way down to being insultingly stupid and funny, there is a little something for anyone with a sense of humor...and who can read standard American English.
Observing people's behavior is the overall theme to Stacking Hassles. Kevin, evaluates our cultural values and beliefs, points out our similarities and differences, offers up some tips & advice, and even spews a few life lessons he's learned along the way.
Such insights Why does hearing a story about someone's cousin always suck? When I dance, I look like someone doing an interpretative dance...about someone who can't dance. I wonder if a group of bulimic protesters ever staged an upheaval anywhere. My rule of thumb for employment? Don’t take any jobs where the only pay is martyrdom What it's call when you skip out of playing hooky?Kevin Whelan is a teacher, trivia game show host, and a nationally touring comedian, celebrating 25 years of stand up with the release of his first solo work, Stacking Hassles. He has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy and continues to log 100 shows a year on the road.
Kevin currently resides in Northeast Ohio, with his wife, three sons, and his jack-rat terrier...who is currently sitting on his lap. I can see all of this through Kevin's window right now, as I write. Shh don't tell him I rented the place across the street. Enjoy.

I am very surprised that there are no reviews of this book. Full disclosure: I know Kevin and have worked with him several times. I didn't know if he would be a good writer or not but I think he is a fantastic comedian so I wanted to see what he had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised. This book reads like a comedy routine. It's fast paced, easy to read and at times laugh out loud funny. It's also insightful and keeps your interest throughout. I was thoroughly impressed and you will be too. This isn't a book to enjoy in one sitting, it's better to read in chunks, 10 pages or so at a time. It should be savored. Definitely worth the read.
