This book was amazing, I was hooked from page one and I adored the couple. ADORED! Cain targets Harper, the daughter of the revered MC prez as payback for a crime he thinks the RSMC did against his bio-dad long ago. He intends to use her as an emotional weapon against her dad – but then he catches alllll the feelings and this villain who has always walked his own path, his own rules, is suddenly falling hard and wondering how he can get his revenge but make Harper fall for him too.
Damn, it was a helluva ride and it went places I never expected!
It definitely has darker elements than I’m used to from this author, a couple of dub-con scenes ( with happy endings ) and Cain absolutely pushes boundaries like any morally grey bastard would. It’s his way or no way and Harper is in a bind with him but I LOVED how she always went toe-to-toe with him, though her worry was very much at dire level.
She is young, and I foresee her growing into a spectacular villains queen one day!
My trust in this author is rock solid. I can always be assured the romance will be romancing hardcore until you want to giggle like a little girl and there won’t ever be cheating/sex scenes with other people on the page.
The hero obsession was there in bucketloads.🥵😍

There was gorgeous cameos for the long time readers of the OG series and I was kicking my feet so happily!
I cannot sing this books praises enough. Cain was the villain I didn’t know I needed and now loooove so much.
I already can’t wait for the next legacy kid to get their story.

Wow! Just wow! Did I say wow?! Yes, I did! I’m a huge lover of the Renegade Souls series. When I heard that this author was going to write about the legacy children? My mind was blown and I couldn’t wait for the first story. Plus it’s my favorite trope, enemies to lovers, so I knew it would be epic! And this, this brilliant telling of Harper, the MC Princess, and Cain, the villain, was everything and more than I could possibly fathom. From their first meeting, from the instant attraction, to the first time Cain told her his plans, I was obliterated. I literally yelled at my Kindle and wanted to throw it down, but I needed to know what happened next. I was obsessed, I was mesmerized and I was torn so many times. Harper is just like her Mother, Zara. Strong minded, smart and has a heart of gold. How could she ever have feelings for the son of a monster? But as I read, I could understand where she was coming from. Cain is strong, handsome, dominant and will do anything to keep Harper. But plans don’t always go as you want them. I enjoyed their witty banter and their sizzling chemistry singed my fingers as I turned the pages. If ever there was a story to read, this is it. It just proves to me how much I love this authors words and how perfectly she writes MC. I need more of the Legacy children and can’t wait for the next book in this incredible series! Utter perfection!

Welcome Back to the Original MC, Chaos
Returning to any of V. Theia's worlds is always something I love but the Renegade Souls MC universe is a special one as it's where my love for her creations began.
Sweet Reckoning is both familiar and new because it's starting to focus on the second generation of this 1% motorcycle club. The children and babies of the Colorado-based club are all grown and Harper Marinos is no exception. V isn't taking any prisoners with this new series, and what a way to begin our journey with book one having ghosts of the past, who were beyond evil the first time around. Then there's the fact Harper makes Zara look quiet and tame - and MC princess if ever there was.
This has everything you want in a book though because as always, V delivered on a world-building that is immersive and gritty so you're walking alongside both Harper and the intriguing Cain as their story unfolds or explodes causing chaos .. both are apt. Each character is vividly written so you can practically smell the oil on their fingers, the alluring scent of the various drinks they love or perhaps the overwhelming scent of perfume that lingers in their compound.
I devoured Sweet Reckoning today, loving every moment of this enemies-to-lovers story and especially loving seeing how strong Harper is. She's going to be one to control the Souls one day even if her brother is President. She's a force to be reckoned with, even when she's clearly out of her depth and I was firmly in her corner from page one.
Cain lives up to his Biblical name by being vicious, ruthless and unapologetic most of the time for his actions. It's been a while since V gave us such a monster of a character and sometimes I liked him and sometimes I agreed with Harper about a short pier and Cain taking a long walk off it. He's dangerous and he's narrow-minded in his actions and views of the Renegade Souls but then there are moments when I see his humanity and I welcome that juxtaposition as I read on.
This isn't a love story in the traditional sense, but V does what makes her so good at these books, in my opinion. She weaves magic with a good twist of her form of insanity to make you see a monster and a princess can make sense; even if when she'd much prefer leathers to a ball gown. They don't make sense, not on paper and half the time not to those who love the eldest child of the Pres but you'll love them just as much as these two enemies do.

Reviews for this authors books usually come so easy for me and when I knew I was coming back into my beloved Renegade Souls world … slam dunk… WRONG!
It’s hard for me to review this book and not give spoilers, and I will never do this to a reader. Half the joy of a V book is the forward momentum, the character interactions and how she sets up a scene. So here’s my best attempt at a review.
First, enemies to lovers is a hard genre for me, because when done well (V always writes well) it is so anxiety inducing. We have a Cain sighting in the last book of the main series and just knowing who he is put my teeth on edge. Moving on…..
Second, it didn’t take long for my full body rage to start to brew. I was casting my witchy spell "Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble" on Cain quite quickly. I wanted to physically hurt him.
Third, Harper Marinos you are too smart to act this stupid! Now I have a real problem, because I want to hurt the male main and smack the snot out of the female main.
Fourth, I rage read 70.4% of this book!
Here comes the tipping point…. information was revealed, poor/horrible decisions saw the light, a reckoning came into play and I finally took a deep breath and calmed my tits.
That’s it, I can’t say any more, except read the book, climb on the rage train (or not) with me, see some OG Souls and buckle up for a bumpy ride. If I had a penny for all the times I recited “In V we trust and V always promises an HEA”, I would have given my notice at work today.

Review time: Sweet Reckoning

Whenever a new story from V drops within the first few hours I will have read and then gushed about it. This book made me ache for the couple of Cain and Harper and this was a real Romeo and Juliet story because now the children are getting their voices and it was delicious and heartbreaking as two people who shouldn’t like each other inevitable found each other and their souls being connected.
I will say make sure you check the triggers on this one because at times it can be hard going.
I loved the interaction with all the kids and how their dynamic work being so used to the parents I was so glad that it still felt like home even with the shift and well seeing the biker boys as older boys was so fun.
I don’t want to spoil too much because I think this is one you need to go into and enjoy the ride.
Also when I found out who the next couple is I screamed ;)

annoying but
So this is rider and Zara’s daughter’s story. Started off well for me being that harper appeared strong and intelligent being the princess of the mc. However I got really annoyed at how easily the author turned her into a weak princess who understood the value of family yet really didn’t help them for a year. Felt like Stockholm syndrome and cain, well why wouldn’t he have seen a file about his father and then thought more about how he came to be? Story really didn’t start for me till the last few chapters. Disappointing as had high hopes for their story.

From the very beginning I loved these two together!
As romance readers, we’re hardwired to fall for the morally grey hero, it’s always a given, but Cain really was gorgeous in all his bad villainous ways because he could have been worse and he wasn’t because he was obsessed with Harper from the word go. He saw her, wanted her, and his plans to destroy her family MC went by the wayside and all he wanted to do was possess her. Including forcing her to marry him and then dropping into her life unexpectedly from time to time to deliver the scorching hot orgasms.
Thank youuuuu, author for this book I never knew I needed!
It can be read as a standalone though it is second generation of an MC series, much is explained so new readers aren’t left confused. It has strong ties to Dirty Salvation and so much is worked through with our new couple and Harper’s parents, the original couple.
What stood out for me was Harper. She’s only 21, and admits she’s always been protected by her MC family, she was untouchable until Cain came along and turned her world on its head. She handled him as best as she could. I was gripping my kindle so hard at times, begging the girl to tell her daddy what was going on, but you know what? If that was the case, the book would not have had so much gorgeous tension. It kept the pace and flow. And in the end, that villain was under her thumb, GIRL YESSSS get you a bad boy who will threaten your entire family but will go through the most gruesome pain to earn your love. I’m swooning.

Absolutely delicious, I'll take 14!
Why is it so easy to fall in love with a villain? siiiigh.
This book's got it all: romance, action, laughs, and drama! The storyline was great paced, not one boring chapter at all! For new readers the story and characters stand alone for its greatness, and for readers of the original series there is glimpses of the old characters which was great!
Cain was hot af – so bad, so controled and cold and so sure he would destroy the mc, until he saw her and it all changed.
And Harper Marinos is a freaking rockstar – no hate for this heroine, I won't accept it! firstly for having the strength to stand up to Cain despite her worries he was going to hurt her family, and then her agony when she was falling for him despite knowing all his badness. Their romance is so, so gorgeous. Their connection steamed off the pages.
I don't know what this author sprinkles in her writing, but I find it utterly addictive.
“Say you’re mine, sweet baby.”
I’m yours. Always. Now and forever.
But the words wouldn’t come.
Even though they said nothing, their eyes said it all. His hand moved from her chin to her throat, a gentle caress that sent shivers of affection down her spine. With delicate care, his fingers enclosed the gentle column. He clasped her, but not harshly, conveying his control.
“Tell me soon. I’m dying without you.”
“You soon changed your tune. You were all about revenge until recently.”
“I was always yours, even then.”
Love made her heart go nuts. Harper’s entire being trembled, and she had to close her eyes, unable to look at him.
Then she felt his mouth on hers; she whimpered as he fed his tongue into her mouth with a hungry thrust.
Oh, she’d missed him. The villain was unlike any other man because Cain was her man. All hers. Harper had never felt such stress as she had these past days, but she was still high on him.

Each time a new V. Theia book comes out, I am SAT. I don't need a blurb, or cover, I need no other info other than my unicorn author who writes the swooniest, filthiest, most addictive romances has released a book.

Exceptionally good!!
A villain with vengeance in mind + an MC princess from a loving family = a hot as hell enemies to lovers story!!
This captivating book will keep you hooked from page one to the last. Some writers really know how to make you feel like you're in the story, and Ms. Theia is one of the best. I haven’t been disappointed by one of her books yet. I know she’ll always write me a couple I can root for, even get mad at and make me rage read for a while, but ultimately, the love and devotion a couple feels for each other is always there and I love it!
I loved seeing all the old characters from the RSMC series again but Harper and Cain definitely were the full focus of this book! Oh god, he was a bad boy and did bad boy things but the obsession he felt to be near Harper was soooo good. Their love hate relationship was palpable. Poor Harper was put in a rock-hard place not knowing what to do when Cain popped up in her life with a heart full of hate for her family. Ms. Theia wrote their power dynamics so well I thought, I felt every anxious emotion Harper went through when she was torn down the middle between family loyalty and ultimately falling for the villain.
This book drew out so many emotions and ripped my heart out with the great call back to Dirty Salvation, where it all began and had me hoping and pulling my hair with nerves!!
There’s no question about how well Ms. Theia delivers on the romance and spice – it’s off the charts. But good god, those tense salutations were hit so well too!

This captivating book will keep you hooked from page one to the last. Some writers really know how to make you feel like you're in the story, and Ms. Theia is one of the best. I haven’t been disappointed by one of her books yet. I know she’ll always write me a couple I can root for, even get mad at and make me rage read for a while, but ultimately, the love and devotion a couple feels for each other is always there and I love it!
I loved seeing all the old characters from the RSMC series again but Harper and Cain definitely were the full focus of this book! Oh god, he was a bad boy and did bad boy things but the obsession he felt to be near Harper was soooo good. Their love hate relationship was palpable. Poor Harper was put in a rock-hard place not knowing what to do when Cain popped up in her life with a heart full of hate for her family. Ms. Theia wrote their power dynamics so well I thought, I felt every anxious emotion Harper went through when she was torn down the middle between family loyalty and ultimately falling for the villain.

I have been fangirling about the renegade souls mc series for years, so to get the 2nd generation now is awesome! And something I’ve been eager for. V. Theia really went all in with this enemies to lovers trope, god, it was delicious from start to finish.
The characters were fantastic. Naturally, I fell for Cain, V. Theia has never written a hero I haven’t gone ape for. Who doesn’t love a villain who is obsessed and will burn the world just for her? He truly was a bossy boots but so hot with it. But toward the end when the sacrifice part came into play, boy was I impressed!!
Harper is the daughter of the prez and she is a woman in her own rights, young with her decisions but has so much love for her family that it oozed off the page. It’s one of those situations where you think you’re doing the right thing for the greater good, to protect those you love the most. She was such a good MC princess and makes the perfect partner to handle that villain.
Man, this 2nd gen series started with the best couple and I can’t wait for more. The story pace was there, it flowed like wine and the spice was so spicy good my toes were curling!
You don’t need to have read the original series to enjoy this book, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to go back and catch up! They’re both that good.

LET ME LOVE A VILLAIN! 😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The chemistry between these two is seriously off the charts—sexy, intense, sweet, emotional, and swoony all at once. I couldn’t get enough! V. Theia nails the smut scenes ( no pun intended lol )
Sure, things aren’t always easy, and they’ve got their fair share of issues, but they never hold back from each other, and it made for such a satisfying read, I stayed up way later than intended, unable to put the book down. I loved they were blunt, honest, and real—especially Cain, who never sugarcoats things, even when the truth stings. But he’s also the kind of guy who steps up and makes things right when it counts.
Harper was steadfast in hating him and it was so fun to read! Cain has nothing but bad intentions in his heart and Harper is sweet, young but mature with it. At first you wonder how the author is going to make this work between them, but as the scenes start to unfold, and there’s a delicious forced marriage and lots of snarky goodness, it all makes sense. No one is better for Cain and no one is better for the morally gray bad boy than the girl he met so long ago. They were destined!! Ahhh my heart.

Well now we got a hell of an intro to the second generation series from the RENEGADE SOULS MC! Harper is def her daddy’s daughter, so stubborn yet so loving and always wanting to protect those she cares about. It was her greatest weakness and Cain, the villain of the story, pounced on that vulnerability like a shark scenting blood. Our virgin heroine was in an impossible position, she met Cain, thought they had a connection, but it turned out he’d been watching her for a while, targeted her, romanced her and then went in for the kill, to use her against the MC. I love those kinds of twists, but there was more to come as secrets are unveiled and what Cain thought he was fighting for was not what he thought.

Here comes the second gen of the Renegade Souls! I loved seeing all the characters from the OG series and seeing where they are and how things have changed (and in some ways have stayed the same - I know it is unrealistic, but I love that the chemistry and intensity between the OG couples is still so palpable.
I enjoyed the history between Cain and Harper. I loved their chemistry and the heat. I loved Cain's intensity. The writing and plot flowed smoothly and was compelling. The only thing that made this not a 5 star read is a completely personal thing is the torn loyalty thing. Maybe it's because it is second gen and so I had a "history" and thus loyalty with Rider and Zara. Especially since I recently did a reread in preparation, so emotions were already running high. It's a completely visceral reaction and I am curious to see if I will still react as strongly on a re-read. Still and all, it was entertaining, well written and filled with compelling characters. I look froward to the next book in the series.

Oh Cain, how you remind me of my favorite Renegade Soul, my love Hawk! How absolutely perfect that Harper's presence, her scent, her voice sent shockwaves through your body and soul. She took over your chemical make-up, the visceral and fundamental particles that created the perfect villain and brough him to his knees. Cain was a delightful monster; we could see him falling deeper and deeper under her spell. Even when he didn't realize what was happening, he didn't stop. He marched straight on into his downfall, with a smile on his face. Harper is definitely her parents' daughter. She has a lot of their best qualities and a few of their faults. But no one can deny that she loves her family and is willing to do anything to keep them safe, even marry the devil. Another masterpiece, another amazing couple with an incredible story that I want to absorb into my soul! V Theia is a queen amongst us and I can't thank her enough for letting all her wonderfully bad guys and their better halves loose to wreck havoc on my sleep and real life pile up around me!!

It was time for Harper, The Prez’s oldest child to shine, and girl she shone brightly. I loved her. The moments with her parents made my heart sigh happily. There’s always a big worry an author will wreck the HEA of the former OG couple in order to further the drama for the current characters, but V. Theia can be trusted not to do that. the parents are wonderful and still had the power to make me swoon within the pages of Harper’s book.
Her two brothers are a hoot and I can’t wait for their books!
Lawless son grabbed my attention right away!
And Im so excited for the next book. It’s one long time fans have been waiting for!!!!

I’ve wanted this next gen series since I first met the originals! With all the build up I had for it, I was worried it wouldn’t meet my expectations . . . and it didn’t . . . it EXCEEDED them!

I will say that I really enjoyed this second gen romance between Harper and Cain. I actually did not read the first book with Harper’s parents, but I didn’t think it was necessary to understand the full story. Harper is an MC princess, and she’s about to graduate from college. She meets Cain, attractive and attentive, able to keep up with her cleverness. However, Cain has an absolute vendetta against Harper and her family, so he’s out to get revenge, even if it means using Harper.
I think I was just in the mood to read something like this, which will involve blackmail and some dubious content. There are times when Harper shows some real spunk and wants to stand up to Cain, but she also easily falls for his charm and right into bed with him. There’s misinformation about what Cain knows, so in the end, he tries hard to redeem himself. I think the writing here was better than some previous books, so I really enjoyed this one.

Cain's well-laid plans of vengeance take a twisted turn when Harper captivates his devious soul. He's dominant, possessive and the ultimate bad boy. Harper is the epitome of an MC princess. Confident in herself and with her future. She's capable of taking care of herself and Cain's presence shocks her to her core.
Ooh, and the sharp little tongue of hers and his equally sharp retorts back and forth in a volley of banter was impressive.
Their chemistry, as much as she resisted, was sinfully arousing and left me breathless.
This book featuring the next generation of Renegade Souls is going to be a favorite re-read!

I don’t know why I get surprised at how much I fall in love with a new book from this author because she’s only my favorite author of all time, especially writing in the MC arena, but I do! And I’m still in awe after finishing Sweet Reckoning.

The way Harper fought falling for him and then her heart was broken when all the truths were out on the table.
And then the way Cain made it right!!!
I want to read it all again and fall for this epic 2nd generation MC romance.

I made a mistake.... I opened the book thinking one or two chapters and then Ill sleep. NOPE. 3 Hours and 20 mins later Ive finished.
Cain reminds me of another of Vs characters, Ronan Macnamara. Hes as possessive and hungry for his sweet baby as Ronan was.
Harper was honestly amazing. I loved her strength, she tries fo fight back, against Cain and his plans for her family, then against her family for the man she loved. I hated how her brother tried to make her feel small and useless for being female.

2.5 stars. Pretty unbelievable that Harper would choose to be with Cain after what he pulled with her and her family- let alone, knowing what her mother went through at the hands of his father. I know that’s the crux of the book’s conflict but them ending up together didn’t feel right. Also, can the female leads please not have betraying body syndrome anymore? 😞

One of my most anticipated books. While it took me a bit longer than normal to truly get invested in this book, it didn’t take long before I was all in. I loved, loved, LOVED the lengths that Cain went to make amends and prove what Harper meant to him. There is no doubt that he would burn the world down for his woman.
