I was the perfect weapon, never one to miss a mark. Until him.
My latest a dangerously powerful Alpha, the kind of man who could command a room with a single glance.
I slipped into his masquerade ball disguised as a dancer, ready to strike. But then we danced, and for the first time in my life, my pulse betrayed me. His hand pressed against my waist, his breath ghosting over my ear as he whispered, “Your eyes just gave you away.”
I should have been immune to temptation. Cold. Unwavering. Yet, under his touch, I was unraveling.
But orders are orders, and my blade is already aimed at his heart. Kill him, or betray everything I’ve ever known for a man I was never meant to love?
I was sent to destroy him. Now, I don’t know if I’ll survive loving him.
Xander and Scarlett’s story is an enemies to lovers storyline with lots of adversity and betrayal on both sides ! Not just between the rival pack, but within the packs themselves! It’s well written, with a few editing hiccups, but none that take away from the overall feel of the story. Emilia is a secondary character that only wants to be Luna for the power and I love how over the top she is ! Loved this book by Krista Lark, it’s my first book from her that I have read and can’t wait to read others, especially as she continues in building her series and readership. 4✨’s.

Scarlett and her beta Nicholas were sent to Xander's pack as refugees (spies). Her father was the rogue king and wanted something Xander had. Xander and Scarlett find out they are mates and that in of itself causes problems. There is someone within his pack that is plotting against him. When he finds out who she really is there is trouble. The blurb doesn't go along with the book and there are some typos. But it is a pretty good book.

This was a good story. The author did such a great job. The story flowed good from chapter to chapter. I really liked how each chapter alternated between the two main characters Xander and Scarlett. Scarlett was an amzing character. She went from following her father’s order to get the bad guy, but then realizing Xander was her mate and all the stories she was told were wrong. Xander was amazing too. He put the welfare of the pack first, but then realized to be a great alpha you also need to follow your heart. If you enjoy paranormal romance this is it. I recommend this book to everyone.
This is book one and features Scarlett, a warrior and alpha princess of her pack. The main issue is her father (Francis) is cruel and abusive. He sends his daughter Scarlett and his Beta Nick under cover to infiltrate Xander’s pack and steal the relic. Alpha Francis has brainwashed his pack into thinking that Xander and his pack are the bad guys that stole an ancient relic. There is some good drama and twists plus a happy ending for our main couple. Read On!
I liked parts of it, but loaded with errors and inconsistencies. She's wearing a bikini and then suddenly she's naked and out of nowhere she's wearing shorts and a t-shirt. They're together in bed, but he's wearing pants, but decides to get up since it's morning and he reaches for his discarded pants. Hire an editor.

Xander and Scarlett’s enemies to lovers story is well written with a very good storyline that held my interest. They will have things to overcome if they are to get a happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story had so much potential. If the author had actually read her story, she would have known she totally mixed up names, which made it confusing at times. I literally had to go back and re read parts to make sure I was reading it correctly.
About a young wolf who never really had a family her father sent her on a mission that could kill her he also threatened to kill her and her friend if she didn’t go then her mission ended up being her mate
Listen I’m not saying it’s good, I’m saying I enjoyed it. We go by vibes here 😂 The writing was meh but the angst and tension were 🤌🏻 Rejected mates will forever be one of my favorite tropes
