How beautiful the nefarious Don Fera looks begging at my feet.
They call him the King of the Underworld. They whisper his name in fear. But they don't know that every night, he surrenders his crown to me.
My name is Danica Matthews. I own the most dangerous man in the city. And someone just dared to take him from me.
They thought kidnapping Don Fera would bring his empire to its knees. But they never expected his Queen to hunt them down. My suburban life didn't prepare me for war. But for Dante, I'll paint this city red. Nobody touches what belongs to me. In a world of monsters and men, I'll show them why the most feared Don in the city bows to me.
Danica's Revenge is a dark(ish) mafia romance where SHE holds all the power. Book 2 in the Queens & Knights series—must be read in order. Features: power exchange, found family, and a fierce love worth killing for. HFN guaranteed.

M Kay Noir is a romance author and journalist obsessed with moments of desire.
Most of Kay's stories are dark(ish), kinky, queer-friendly, polyamorous undertakings with neurotic characters who are often their own worst enemies. If you expect any regard for traditional gender roles or power dynamics, you will be disappointed.
"I like my female characters dominant... ...And my MMCs on their knees."
Born and bred in South Africa, Kay has been penning steamy moments for more than 15 years now, from fanfics to ghostwriting and now, finally, her own stories. Her day job also involves a lot of writing, albeit a different kind—mostly sustainability things.
When she’s not writing (or reading), she enjoys making her husband look at yet another sunset or going to a live music show.
I like the concept of a femme dom. It really intrigues me to see the role reversal, BUT.. I can't really see the head of a mafia organization being submissive. Maybe this book wasn't for me as I hoped it would be. I was also confused because it seemed like Dante and Danicas relationship was missing something... Dante talked about his "wife" who passed away and you can tell that he was still in love with her and I didn't feel the love for Danica.
This is my first encounter with this author and listen!!! Did I not squeal with delight!!!
I have been looking for a book with a specific kind of FMC and MMC, but I never have found one that gave me joy. But then Danica and Dante's story came along and granted my wish with the right kind of blush-worthy gentleness.
I loved the playfulness and trust in their relationship. I loved how both of them made each other feel safe in their exploration of each other. In reading their story, I understand how right they are for each other. Danica did seem a bit extra in places, but that was balanced by Dante's reserved nature.
𝙄 𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙩. 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 “𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙗𝙤𝙮.” — 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚.
I particularly love the fact that Dante didn't overcompensate for Danica's dominance in the bedroom by abusing his power outside of it. Despite his reticence towards being the Don, he still appears to be confident in himself, and I felt like it was in part thanks to Danica's — ehem — support! Oooh! Did I mention she loves reading?!
I giggled in shyness during the intimate scenes, and then howled my approval at the same time. It's a big, wide world out there and I'm glad I found myself in this corner of it!
It was an easy read, and I could visualize every scene. But. I'm a big book girlie, and I really wished the story had been longer!
This was the first book of M. Kay Noir and I'm highly impressed. The story was well written and the pages flowed so beautifully!
I always love me a strong FMC that gets the MMC on his knees. I mean... "𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙖 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙤𝙮." Same Danica, same!
The book was interesting, spicy, and fun too. "𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙, 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙖𝙮. (𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙝.) Haha it doesn't get any more relatable than that, does it?
The spice was VERY well written and I always love to get introduced to new things. That last scene had me googling and now I'm curious. Honestly, there aren't many books that can make that happen, but this book this.
I received a copy for an honest review and I give Danica's story 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5. Danica & Dante's story is set after "Beg Me Please" but I've read it without reading the novella and because it's written so well with enough backstory & build-up, you don't have to read it.
Although... Now I kinda want to read that one too. Or basically all M Kay Noir's books haha.
I have to say I was very impressed with how it was written. I love the way a young woman can bring the King to his knees and beg.
I have never read a book where the sub is a powerful mafia man and well let’s just say I WANT MORE..
M Kay Noir wrote such a great story of Dante and Danica and I love that she had a young woman find her strength to become this woman who would do anything to save her King!!
I would recommend this book to all but especially to those who love strong MFC..it’s very exciting to read and you will not be disappointed.
Femdom with a heroic aspect?! Yes please! This short read was packed with smut and story! It’s not necessarily a dark romance per se, but can be deceived as one due to the violence that takes place. As a mafia smut loving reader, this novella fills all the gaps! As stated it can be read as a stand-alone which is what I had read it as since I’m new 😅 But just the first two chapters in, I was hooked! I had to know what happens and why it happened! I cannot wait to read more of Dante and Danica in the future! 🫶🏻
ARC REVIEW 🩵 Danica’s Revenge by @mkaynoir.author 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book had me in absolute shambles, I couldn’t put it down and was instantly hooked on Danica & Dante. This femdom dark romance provides explicit details of each scene & highlights the importance of consent (big win for me). Danica’s character is so well written and the storyline is chefs kiss, absolutely amazing. M Kay Noir has outdone it with this book! *Please check trigger warnings*
Wow. Just wow. I started M Kay Noir's work with Beg Me Please (the prequel to this story). I wanted more. I needed more. This book was nothing like I imagined but it was amazing. The timeline, plot, development and touch of darkness were top-notch. I enjoyed this novel so much. The spice is incredible and so unique to most Mafia stories available today. This strong man is not just soft for his queen but he gives himself fully to her. The surrender is beautiful and so well written.
This book was hot and heavy! My first #MafiaRomance that ive ever finished! This read was SLAM packed with smut! The story that went with all the hottness was key to keep me interested.
Overall, I had to get a few chapters in to keep me hooked. But after I got hooked, it was HOOK LINE AND SINKER. Caught me like a catfish.
If you like borderline dark mafia romances, I’d check out this book.
25-year-old Danica and kingpin of the underworld Dante, who we first meet in “Beg Me Please”, are living out their dream domme/sub life when Dante is abducted and nobody seems to know why and where he is. With the mob family without its head, Danica decides to save her lover, no matter what it takes. Although I don’t read mafia romance at all, this one is not dark and serious, it is more of the fairytale-like, over-the-top variety with a strong heroine, a lovable and very alpha (outside bedroom, that is) mobster, lots of spice (some of the whips and gadgets variety), some intrigue and action and a satisfying end. I loved the first book about Danica and Dante and liked this one too, because both characters are just so cool and their chemistry is scorching hot. I liked the back stories the characters get and I loved seeing Danica get empowered and take charge not just in the bedroom but also in life in general. And of course, loved how they finally realize that what started out as a domme/sub relationship, has now evolved into so much more. I definitely recommend reading “Beg Me Please” first, this is the story of how Danica and Dante meet and truth be told, I felt like these two books should be one book because knowing the start of their story, you will appreciate “Danica’s Revenge” so much more.

I had difficulties to determine my rating. I liked the writing and Danica and Dante during playtime was also well written. But because the story is really short, there is no possibility to develop an intricate plot or characters. The main focus in this book is the descriptive $mu! and M Kay noir is not stingy with playtime.
For plot 🌟🌟 not too much of a built up, the anticipation for me was ruined with the epilogue. And there was not much to it.
spice 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I think it is great of you are into f€dom. I wanted to try something different and it is not for me.
characters 2,5 🌟🌟🌟 they felt one dimensional without real depth, none of them have memorable features. For their purpose they are diversified enough to remember the main characters. But also there were no feelings and the descriptions of their past, don't know why Dante tells Danica he loves her? And Danica, well I can't see any impact of her upbringing or former relationship. Why even mention it?
Initially the writing style was a little hard to get into because the POV is not listed for each chapter so you’d have to read a little into the chapter to see who’s journey you were on. The jumping between past & present in the first couple chapters was also confusing.
Buuut, once you get used to that the story & content does have a lot of substance. 👍🏻🖤 The spice & portrayal of the D0mme/male sub relationship was extremely smexy and had great variety, written like a real connection.
The author did well at giving enough tidbits of both characters pasts to explain why they would connect so well. Generally novellas leave me a little unsatisfied with the brevity, but this came very close to being fulfilled with the depth of the relationship.
First and firstmost. I read this book because of the title. I have never read a book with a character with the same name as me. So that was what drew me to it.
Second. Absolutely loved what a badass Danica was for her man. He was a badass in his own regard, but what woman doesn't want a large scary man, on their knees doing anything for her.
Dante didn't disappoint either. He was very much taken by his girl.
My favorite parts were when Luca got punched 3 times by 3 different people in 3 pages.
And obviously when Danica rescued Dante, but I never doubted she would.

Danica is a domme for the Don of the Fera family. Dante, the Don Fera, was a dom for his previous wife but she was murdered several years ago. The dynamic is different with Danica and with her support behind closed doors he is able to rule his family business with an iron fist.
I like mafia romance already but I haven't seen one like this before. I loved it! Great spice with just the right amount of mystery plot elements and even a really good dom/sub relationship, which is kind of amazing in such a short book. The characters were well rounded and relatable, even with the dark subject matter. I want a million more books like this one!

I don’t know what to say honestly. I had a really great time reading the other books of M. Kay Noir, but this one I just wasn’t vibing with it. It’s sort of a sequel to “Beg Me Please”, a little femdom novella. I liked the vibe between Dante & Danica in that, but in this “sequel” I don’t like the couple. There is no proof why they love each other, they just are sexually attracted to the other and that’s it. They care about each other, that’s literally said, but I don’t believe it 100%. Other than that it was a good mafia-story, it had great potential, but I wasn’t vibing with it. 2.5⭐️ (ARC-review)
This follows Dante and Danica's relationship and how one Danica has to same Dante. Please read trigger warnings before reading. Dante is a strong dominant person but loves to be dominated by Danica. Danica is a meek and kind person but don't let that fool you she can put up quite a fight. This was such fun to read. I loved for once the girl was saving the hero but I especially loved their dynamic. I would have liked it to be longer to see more of their relationship and more of the spicey scenes . This was a good read and definitely recommend
At the beginning of the book the author recommends that two earlier books be read first, I wish I had.
I selected this book because of its cover and didn't realise how explicit it was. That aside, it's an eye opener simply because it breaks through the stereotype that, as I perceive, men are the Doms and women the subs.
Anyway, I thought this was an interesting read, & if there had been an option for 3.5 stars, that's what I would have given.

This book was red hot!! Such a nice treat to see a woman taking charge and rescuing the man she not only loves but also dominates, even when he is an Italian mafia boss. In public, Dante is the big boss, in charge of the family business but in private, he crawls for her begging at her feet. When he’s betrayed by someone close to him and ends up kidnapped and tortured, it will be up to Danica to get him back home safe. Some of the heat that this book brought was quite original, things I had not read before (and I read a lot of heat). Very entertaining read.
Danica’s Revenge is a dark romance novella that you won’t be able to put down. This book is full of characters you will love and others you will love to hate. The relationship between Danica and Dante is one that no one would suspect. Dante may be the one calling the shots when it comes to business, but Danica is the one in charge behind closed doors. She can bring the man everyone fears to his knees…. literally! If you love a spicy book that also has some mystery and a little danger mixed in, then this is the perfect book for you!!

Wow, this was certainly a great short story, it has triggers, I believe Dante is a Mafia Don he is tall, handsome and powerful in the underworld he has secrets that makes himself feel good. Danica is a femdom she has secrets and she is his Queen, and she will show everybody she is worthy of the Queen title especially when they are all looking for him..

This book had me gripped from the start, it was well written, well-paced and the smut, well it was AMAZING, chefs kiss. Never have I come across a book with a mafia leader MMC who is a submissive, this was addressed in the book very well and his two lives if you like, daytime as a mafia boss with very dominant ways was intertwined seamlessly with his life with Danica as a submissive. Danica’s character development was interesting too, with her becoming exactly what Dante needs. Looking forward to reading more about Dante and Danica in the future.
Danica is on an urgent mission to find Dante after their home was unexpectedly invaded, and he was taken away.
Though it's a brief story, it's filled with intense emotions like betrayal and pain, showcasing a determined woman who's fiercely committed to bringing her loved one back home.
I loved the lifestyle aspects of this, with Dominance and submission not being only about might, size or outwardly seen power, it shows it's a choice, and that Dominants too can call their safeword, plus the electro play.
I found this book kind of backwards. And a little bit slow. Starting out with Danica andante's fight then his kidnapping. I thought she would have a bigger role in finding him like hitting the streets. But that was not the case. And then permit to go from the kidnapping and go backwards and then forwards was just not the layout I would have liked or expected.

The blurb pretty well says it all without giving much more away. A short, se*y story with Danica in control when it counts, ready to do whatever is needed to get her boy home, no matter the odds against them. Another story in her gentle femdom collection, easy to read.

This was a very quick paced book, but really good. There are two other books that I would recommend reading first to get more background on the characters. It was nice to read a book where the guy was the one who needed told what to do and taken care of to feel grounded. The FMC does whatever it takes to bring him back to her!
I was definitely confused at the beginning of the book thinking I missed something but once I saw that it was more of a flash forward it made more sense. I liked that we got some drama in this but their relationship wasn’t completely wrecked. I wish we got more information on Danica’s childhood but I’m hoping for it in the next book. I love their relationship and can’t wait for the next one.
their trust and attraction to each other is like a breath of fresh air . Dante and Danica come in for some more spice and angst ... he gets on his knees for her in the bedroom yet they respect the reverse dynamic outside of the bedroom . she allows him to be the don .
I think this book was better than the first! Danica really came into her own and really kicked butt. I love how she took control and did everything she could to get to Dante. I loved it. It was a great continuation from the first book and I can't wait to read the next one. I was so invested in this book that I could not put it down! Check trigger warnings before reading but I highly recommend.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is my first femme dom spicy mafia romance and I found the writing to be evocative, with good character development and an engaging plotline. I enjoyed the book and recommend it.
Now that was a delight to read! A Femdom with a Bratva Don. Really enjoyed this book. It has a good storyline, its descriptive, it is intricate, decadent and sizzling hot. Like a breath of fresh air to me. Loved it 🥰
