This is a truly awe-inspiring collection of some of the finest 40K art from the past couple of decades. A treasure trove of painterly inspiration; with all the exaggerated heroism, and visceral gore and gruesome body-horror included. And the weapons and armours... Oooh they all look so cool. This is really nerdy stuff, but I'm all about it. I savoured every page, and I know this will become a reference when painting models in the future too.
The book is divided up into neat chapters, so the art is organised really well by faction and characters. They also have introductions for the major characters featured within, setting the tone and giving a backdrop for the preceding pieces, which I greatly appreciated.
Overall; this is a beautifully presented collection of some of my favourite art from one of my favourite fictional universes. Highly recommended for both 40K book lovers and model painters alike.
