Luna Evernight thought she was ordinary. A girl with no power, no place, no destiny. But that illusion shatters the moment she’s dragged into Daemon Academy, a ruthless school where the supernatural elite reign—and at the very top sit the Seven Sins.
They are more than just men. More than monsters. They are the living embodiments of Wrath, Lust, Envy, Greed, Pride, Sloth, and Gluttony—forces of nature in human form, untouchable and uncontrollable. Until her.
Because Luna isn’t just another student.
She is their Sin-Binder—the last heir of a legendary bloodline, fated to command the Seven Sins. To bind them to her. To own them.
But they will never be owned.
They reject her. Toy with her. Desire her.
And as they test her limits—pushing her, corrupting her, craving her—Luna begins to realize that her bond with them is inescapable. That their connection is deeper, darker, and more dangerous than she ever could have imagined.
Because Daemon Academy has secrets.
She isn’t the first Sin-Binder.
And the last one died screaming.
Now, caught between deadly academy politics, irresistible temptation, and an approaching war, Luna has only one bind them before they destroy her—or fall to her knees and let them consume her whole.
But love was never part of the deal.
And neither was surviving them.
🔥 For readers who
Morally gray antiheroes who will ruin youAn academy where lust, power, and danger collideA fated bond that is twisted, forbidden, and inescapableA heroine who will either break them—or be brokenLet the sins begin.
I feel like this is a mishmash of two different plots. Perhaps two writers who had their own ideas. Normally if done right it wouldn't be a problem. "Houston we have a problem".
Luna's character is very underdeveloped, she is not the MC of her own story. Her characterisation is the same bumpy record of confused and lost. I got to 75% before I had a word with myself. Luna however was still the same girl who was mesmerized by moving hallways... Thank you so much Harry Potter for that... Not. For some reason the world build was around the buildings.
Perhaps if more effort had been put into the world build, Luna could have been the heroine we could get behind. Where I left off, I didn't care about her either way.
The MMCs were perplexing to me. They started off as villains, all mysterious and dangerous. Then at the drop of a hat they were behaving like teenage boys, wrestling on the floor and giggling like girls Eeeerrrm???? These particular embodiments of the 7 sins are centuries old, centuries people, yet they are bumbling about like they don't know what they are doing either.
I also don't understand why this was even called an Academy read, absolutely nothing Academy like happened, nothing. So is it just a hell dimension or a prison instead? Again, world building would have helped.
I just wish the author would have picked a side, playful teenage characters or grown men who were powerful beyond measure.
There was a hell of a lot of potential here, but everything became muddled quickly.
The MMCs are very powerful, centuries old beings. Then why are they stuck at an academy? Why ae their powers so similar and undefined? Why do they act like children at times?
And my biggest peeve: Why aren't the MMCs defined?!?! I had to keep going back to the beginning to figure out who was who and what they were supposed to look like. They all just meshed together
The world building is good but starts to fall apart if you look too closely at it. The MC is fine, but not memorable, even while reading the book.
While I sort of liked this book, I have no desire to read the rest of them.
I was looking for a new series to start, and this one intrigued me! Loved the FMC Luna, and the magical aspect in this book. I loved the dynamic between characters I was laughing while reading the last half most of the time. The plot was interesting & i’m excited to see where it goes! There was a couple editing errors, but i understand those happen. So far my favorite male characters are Riven, Silas, and Orin.
Gah I love all the series from L. Ford but the 1st book cliffhangers🤯😵💫🤯great character representation. Luna and the Sins drag you along begging for more.
L Ford is an author new to me and I am loving this book. Her versions of the 7 sins are spot on with Elias and Silas cracking me up with their shenanigans!
The sin binders fate is book one of the seven sins academy. This book was a great start to this series. A little bit of everything. Check for triggers if you have them.
I absolutely love this book. I really hope there’s going to be another book to this series. Full of twist and turns it has the private monsters, a great reverse harem book.

I love this series so much. And can’t wait for the 7th book to come out. Best of the many kindle series and books I have ever read and it’s very funny throughout the 6 books with Silas and Elias yet over vibes is all steamy but with lots of can’t put it down story plots. Fantastic read.
So, I’m not sure how to feel yet. I don’t feel any real connection to the fmc or the mmc. There’s a lot of information being thrown around but none of it really ties together? I think the premise is an interesting story but again, the conflict doesn’t make a ton of sense and I’m not really sure why the sins don’t want the bond other than they don’t want to be controlled? Their resistance doesn’t really gel for me and the girl is kind of blah. I will read the next one but if it’s as much of a struggle to get through as the first one, Idk if I’ll be able to finish the series. Fingers crossed and on to the next.
I loved the premise of this book, and will definitely be following the series to see what’s next. There were definitely some errors throughout that did take away from the story at times (eg. characters called by the wrong name or being in one characters POV and then another’s without letting us know) but still a great story.
I genuinely forced myself to finish this series—and honestly, I regret it.
LESS IS MORE. That mantra would've done wonders here.
The only saving grace? Elias and Silas. Their chaotic banter was hilarious and oddly out of place—in the best way. I would 100% read a spinoff with just the two of them. Their scenes felt like they were written by someone completely different, and frankly, they’re the only parts that didn’t feel like a chore to read.
As for the rest? A complete mess. The plot was incredibly convoluted, stuffed to the brim with way too many characters, powers, and supernatural creatures—like someone searched “paranormal tropes” and crammed everything from the first five search results into one series. It didn’t make sense, it wasn’t engaging, and it felt more like chaos than world-building.
The intimate scenes? Completely out of place. One minute she’s on death’s door, the next she’s having sex mid-battle while the world’s ending outside. Zero buildup. Zero emotional weight. Just there for the sake of it—and it made already bad writing feel even worse.
Outside of Elias and Silas, every other character was grating. The harem dynamic didn’t work, and instead of connection or chemistry, we got cliché after cliché. This is yet another “7 Sins Why Choose” flop that left me disappointed and frustrated.
Silas and Elias! I love those chaos gremlins and they made the book for me. Elias did seem to have a personality change though from the character who intervened with Sarie to the the one in the trial. I didn't mind that though as I felt there wasn't too much to differentiate between the MMCs to start (with the exception of Riven being angry, Caspian being the charmer and Lucien being cold). I also loved the running joke that the others though Elias and Silas were together. I genuinely laughed at their antics and their Caspian prank back firing was just so funny. I also thought the battle was epic; it genuinely felt like there were proper stakes.
That being said, I did find it a little disjointed and bit rushed on the world building. The academy element isn't really touched on and the core eight characters have minimal interaction with anyone else for a lot of the book. I found the dynamic with the Headmaster a little confusing too and how Luna even got there in the first place hasn't been explained yet. I am also still unclear on the whole binding element and what it's true purpose is but I am intrigued by the whole premise (and I'm hoping for more about Maeve) and will continue to read the series.

My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read.
i am currently undecided on how i feel about this series. i want to read more & for some reason i can't bring myself to do it.
the premise & characters & world building are all soo good. the writing leaves a little to be desired (but truthfully i can't tell if it's somehow problems on my end or if its from the actual book??).
the whole series is drawing me in, it all seems so interesting. i like all the characters so far. & i like that its mostly told from the different ml's pov's.
somehow, though, im finding it to be a major struggle to continue actually reading it. im fighting the very common (in my case) urge to just skim it.
this could also just be a problem w me. currently im at 52%, i will be taking a break from this & hopefully will gain the want to finish this at a later date. i hope i want to finish it later, it seems like it'll be a totally dope story. very unique & exciting.
This book was a really good starter to the series! I love Silas and Elias so much and their humor had me actually cackling on my couch! Orin send like such a thoughtful MMC and I'm dying for more development with him! Overall, it was cute and I'll definitely be getting the next one!!
Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was just editing errors like Riven was the POV for one chapter yet there were comments about Given as a third person character.

This book was just the perfect storm. I was waiting for a book to deliver that hook and this was just it. Sometimes you get tired of the predictable and everything falling into place neatly. I loved that the MCs were flawed and at times awful. To be honest at the beginning I was digging for those redeeming qualities and I’m enjoying the ride to get there. 100% would recommend
I still don't know if I continue the serie. I could have loved it but I'm missing some important parts, like some background before Luna arrives, how she was discovered, etc etc. And there are way too many characters, it's impossible to remember all the names and who is who. Plus, for a first book where we install the story, it was still fast paced. So I don't know what to do now.
I definitely think the book needs more work as the characters don’t seem to have enough depth or characterization. None of the characters really made me like them. So I’m probably not reading the rest of this series.
This was an interesting start to a new series and I rather enjoyed it. I did wish there was more worldbuilding though and I was a bit confused at some parts of the story.

Well I could see what this book was trying to do but the execution wasn’t quite there. The ridiculousness of some characters and the dynamics between them could have been charming but it was done too much. And the balance between the MMCs being big bad demons, apparently crazy intimidating and powerful and yet slowly falling for the FMC didn’t hit right for me. The MMCs mostly but secretly simp after the FMC which I could enjoy idk again it didn’t work here for me.
This is random but something in the writing reminded me a bit of the Shatter Me series (though none of the MMCs are iconic like Aaron Warner). Maybe it was the repeated word sentence structure and dramatic lines. And it felt somewhat YA minus the sex scenes? Or that like scope is apparently this large scale world drama but it’s mostly small moments between characters.
And I’m pretty positive in some big final drama, the characters names are mixed up. They’re like oh no Riven and Elias are missing. Then Elias is there talking and Silas is the one missing.
