I have been following this series now for some time and am blown away by the amount of secrets you can fit in such a small rural setting and their police force. Hiding Crimes by L.A. Dobbs is the tenth book in the Sam Mason series and in this one we get a lot of answers that I as a reader has been waiting for. As an old beer comercial put it, "It was worth the wait". Now after reading this book I have a new set of questions and I was therefore glad to see that book eleven is already announced. I can't wait. I don't know much about other books by this author but she has a few different series under a few different pen names, and I bet they are just as well written as this series. I will however find myself content with following Sam since I don't have more time for reading. I will recommend this series for fans of well written small town mysteries and a great setting with marvellous characters. She even has a dog and a cat that plays an important part in the adventures.

secrets are hard to keep
Another dead body, this time it’s a warning, we’re watching we’re near and anyone can die. The group has secrets and they need to share, but fear and self loathing hold them back. Now 2 FBI agents show up, and the group is watching each other, can they trust each other, or will it get worse if they do or worse if they don’t.
Another great story by Ms Dobbs, I truly enjoyed this one. Couldn’t put it down now I’ll wait for another one if she writes about this family of cops. Great read my favorite so far.

Ms. Dobbs does it again!
These Sam Mason books are fantastic, there's never a dull moment! I like that Major and Lucy are in this book a lot, their relationship is always fun to read.
I don't want to get into the plot of the book, I'd rather not leave any spoilers, but I will say it is a fast based book with lots of surprises, and action, I didn't suspect the ending which made it more exciting. I hope that there are more adventures with Sam Mason and his crew to come our way, I can hardly wait for the next one to come out!!

Good (not great) read
I find the characters in this series engaging and it starts with a shocking discovery. But many things seemed repetitive: the cat on the filing cabinet; the sights, sounds and smells (burnt coffee) of the police station, cars pulling up next to another character’s ride are mentioned over and over again. I will probably dive in again when the next Mason book comes out to see how the relationships progress.

A page turner:
I have rated yet again the tenth book (A Sam Mason k-9 mystery) A five star. I have loved reading every book never, ever disappointed. I love the characters of course Lucy the sweet, loving k-9 and the funny, temperamental cat. Always exciting ,who done it ?? Why ?? I can't wait to read the next book of this series. Fingers crossed that there will be one. I just love this series.

This is an excellent K-9 Crime series.
This book was so good, I could NOT put it down.
This story is personal for the members of the team, Wyatt, Kevin, Jo, and Sam.
There are many layers to the story and some shocking twists and turns.
The ending was so good.

This is the tenth book in the Sam Mason Mysteries. Deputy Wyatt Davis’ back story is revealed. \We learn why he has been so closed lipped and secretive.
His father has found him and wants to use him for illicit gains. I was on the edge of my seat. I recommend this story. It can be read as a standalone.

This book gets 4 stars because I find this series to be consistently entertaining and easy to read, but I have to admit that the editing leaves something to be desired. There are a lot of repetitive phrases throughout and even a couple typos and blatant inconsistencies, but despite this, I’ll keep reading because the characters are enjoyable and the “whodunnits” are entertaining. Bonus, there’s a dog!

Excellent addition to the series
A dead body in Wyant's trunk that turns out to be an FBI agent, his father issuing demands, and a couple FBI agents show up at the station. Wyant is scared and afraid to trust. This is an excellent addition to the series, and I look forward to more as Wyant's father is still out there.

I like the Sam Mason & Lucy series a lot. This entry was good and I read it quickly, but it was a pretty straightforward tale. I expect the next one (or more) in the series will be more exciting given how the plot was slightly unresolved at the end of this one. Definitely recommend as an easy read with good characters.

A story filled with secrets, distrust, and excitement.
Sam's crew finds a body and all their world tilts. Who are they really? Is the trust you once had still there. Danger surroundings each of them in different ways. Add a couple FBI agents and mix stiffens.
But love blooms even in the turmoil.

Trust
Gang's all back for a new adventure, that turns in to lies, miss trust, and to protect the ones you love. Sam has to hope that his deputy's work out the wrong and the right of what there doing to work together to catch a killer. Great read. Ready and waiting for the next rwad.

Finally the truth is out!!
I got through the books about Sam Mason wanting to reach the union of the protagonists in an open truth.
Finally, as the title of this review says, they got to open up their souls and personal histories to a common ground.
Obviously, the fall of the gang head is still in the air.
Thank you Ms. Dobbs for a superb story.

The cases build and the characters develop. With each book the same core characters take on crime in their small community. Character development improves and broadens with each book. Besides the human characters, there are 2 cats and a dog, with distinct personalities and interactions with each other and their human partners. A fun read!

Simple story...deep reality
This crew is easy to care about. Sam, Jo, Lucy...the whole bunch are so real, ordinary, doing the right thing. Proving that when life gets tough it's people who matter. Intrigue woven through it all. Mystery, suspense. Very entertaining.

A very exciting story. I really enjoyed it. I hope the next book comes quickly. Well written. I like the characters. They are likable and are like people I would like to know. All of your books are well written. Stories interesting.

Loved this one. Plot lines were precise and clearly written by someone who knows what they are doing. Looking forward to the next one. And no typos. What a welcome change for so many of these books.

Love the characters
Maybe the author should go back and do some minimum corrections like fix some of the misplaced he, she, is's and correct a his word (hsis). Overall another good storyline. I enjoy these!

Sorry to see the end of this series, there seems to be much more that can be done with these characters. The book was well written and flowed by quickly. The ending was a bit of a surprise and some loose ends seemed to be left.

Fantastic book really enjoyed it
I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that she never stops writing. Her books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.

great series
I’ve enjoyed and watched this series grow since book 1. It’s gotten better. The writing is taut. The situations believable. The characters strong. I believe this was the strongest entry yet. I look forward to the next book and hope it releases sinner than later.

I love the Sam Mason series.
This series including this adventure had me hooked from the very first paragraph. L A Dobbs is an extremely talented author. Such as fabulous treat to to be a part of an amazing Adventure. God Bless you. I highly recommend this amazing series.

Great read!
The Sam Mason series is wonderful. I love the characters and how they work together to keep their "family" safe. Lucy brings it all together with her dog wisdom and love for them all.

I just love the Sam Mason series, I have been hooked from the very first book. The stories just flow and grab you immediately. The dog Lucy and all the characters seem real and their relationships are enviable. I sure hope there is a #11.
