Best money he ever spent!
Damien is back at the auction house still searching for Rose Beaumont, the daughter of one of his clients. Last time he came with his friend, Grayson, who found the woman of his dreams in the "slave," Sophia, he purchased at that auction. While Grayson was at the sale, Damien had searched some rooms for Rose but had been unable to find any trace of her. Tonight is supposed to be a special event, so he's here as a buyer. Another prominent buyer is in attendance, and he's being showered with attention.
Damien may not be the most moral or ethical man in the world, but he despises those who take advantage of or harm women and children. He considers himself a man of honor. Honor teaches one where to draw the line between good and evil. He's a special forces veteran who is now a private investor. Both have taught him how to blend in well.
His client, Rose's mother, died recently. Her death has only made him more determined to find Rose. He knows she could be anywhere, but his gut keeps circling back to this old stone chapel in the middle of nowhere, and he never ignores his gut.
Rose thought she'd hit the lowest spot in her life when her stepfather sold her to this auction house. She was wrong; this sale is even worse!
The bidding is soon up over one million dollars. When the bidding hits three million, the man she thought might be her hero seems to pause. Even though she was rooting for him to be her buyer, she realizes how sick that idea actually is. She's been held prisoner here too long! But his bid of ten million dollars ends the sale. Now there's still the humiliation of proving her worth to her buyer.
Rose is silently raging against her mother for ever marrying Jared Fields and then allowing him so much control. But she loves her mother, and her mother is very ill. Her rage would only harm her mother, who's already fighting for her life. She can't hurt her like that.
Rose's life began to unravel after her father died. Her mother became more involved with work, trying to keep the company going. Then she met and married Jared, who Rose always felt was a slimy person. Jared started pulling her away from things that gave Rose pleasure: school and her friends, and he began acting harshly towards her. He dictated who she could see, where she could go, and who she could be with until finally selling her to the auction house.
Damien had never thought much about marriage for himself. If he ever did marry, he knew he'd want one like his parents had had. But where would he ever meet his bride?

We're going back to the underground, the sleazy Chapel for another high stakes auction. The High Rollers series continues with special forces soldier, turned secret PI, Damien Hart. I was excited to read and get to know the quiet friend of Grayson from Book 2. And it hit the ground and ran hard with this guy!👊🏻🏋🏻👊🏻
Damien has one goal, to find the missing daughter of his wealthy client. And despite the sudden loss of his client, he was determined to find Rose Beaumont even if he had to keep returning back to the auction house night after night. It was a promise and he intended to keep it.

While this is a short story, it still had a developed plot unfurling itself with Damien and Rose leading the way. Damien was likable, headstrong, overprotective, and devoted to Rose. He carried her picture till he found her. Sweet, right. He fell for her.😙😙😙 It's instaLOVE. Smitten. He paid a cool 10 million dollars and took her home to his penthouse for safety.🏩
Rose was sweet and very likable. She'd been through some stuff growing up and she shared that with him. She fell for him too.💋💋💋 He made her feel seen and safe which she hadn't felt for a long time. I appreciated their connection, how willing they both were to give in emotionally as well as physically. Yes. There's heat and spice.🥵🌋🥵🌋🫦 Now how will he explain when Rose begins to ask about her mother and wanting to go home?😨🙊🙉 Oh-oh!
Expect drama, a little suspense, murder, some twists, and sadness. The only thing that got repetitive was Damien calling her princess in every other sentence.😂🤪😂

But once they are away from that room, is Rose really sure that he can be trusted, is he really telling her everything, could this be the new beginning that she never knew was possible?
Damien was attending the auction looking for his client’s daughter, he wasn’t there looking for her or to rescue her but the moment that he sees Rose she becomes his sole focus, and getting her out of there is the only thing on his mind. But Damien is determined to discover more about Rose’s past, what he discovers changes everything, how will he tell her secrets about her life and what truly led to her mother’s death?
There are a lot of things in this book but what will have you hooked from the start, but I promise you that this is going to be an emotional ride in parts and these two characters put each other back together. Highly recommended read 5*

Poor Sohpia - It was heartbreaking hearing about her mom and everything she's been through. But she is strong and determined to fight back. I loved that Damien was so supportive and protective and always had her back! They fit really well together and had some pretty steamy moments!!
I think this is my fav of the series so far.

A quick, enjoyable story that I easily read in one sitting!
Damien makes his way to ‘The Chapel’ for one reason- locate and save Rose. As a private investigator he has been hired by her mom to find her.
They had a fantastic insta-attraction which leads to some high chemistry. The spice hit early for these two and have lots of steamy moments!
They have a great connection, and I loved how protective, obsessed and sweet Damien was for her. Rose is a sweetheart, even with they emotional bruises throughout her life. She instantly felt safe with Damien, and the both fall hard. I enjoyed seeing Rose find her strength and stand up for herself.
Damien is keeping a secret from Rose. He just can’t seem to find the right time to tell her so I was waiting to see what would happen when that finally came out.
This a fast-paced with a great amount of heat, drama and some emotion too. I loved that they were able to get the HEA, they really were wonderful together.

The next in the series this book follows along the same lines as the previous ones. There is a secret auction held in a former church that is attended by Richmond looking to purchase vulnerable young women who are not there by choice. The men of this series would like to end the auction and none of them are there intending to purchase a woman. All fall to Insta love when they see the one they are destined to save. In this case, he is an ex-beret and security specialist who was hired to find a missing girl. He was taken by her photo, but when he sees her in the auction, he knows he’ll do anything to save her and purchases her intending to set her free. Once she is in his arms, they have an undeniable mutual attraction. It is full Insta love for both of them. These are quick stories with intense spice, an innocent FMC, a strong alpha, MMC, and always a happy ending. They are quick usually with a tiny bit of angst, perfect for a quickie read.

Rose is such a sweetheart make you want to reach in giving her a huge hung telling her it will be okay standing on that stage so afraid but after so much emotional abuse her stepfather decides it is time to get rid of her and standing on that yes, she is afraid, but you also see her strength. The moment Damien sees her he knows she belongs with him, he isn’t leaving without her, and he has to protect her for the first time in a long time she feels safe but is she really safe, will her stepfather really walk away, what started as a job quickly turned into something more but will she understand when she learns the truth, and will they be the next to find happiness?

OMG this was a intense story and it was a steamy page turner and the suspense was so insane. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. It was addicted. Rose’s life was ripped out from under her the night by her stepfather who had sold her to a black-market auction. So he could paid off his debt to this mob boss that he own money too. What was supposed to be the end of her freedom turned into a twisted new beginning when Damien was totally a stranger with a dark past, placed the winning bid. Their romance was forbidden and he was not post to fallen in love with her in this moment. Will he run away with her to keep her safe. One night with him will change her life forever in this moment in time.

This was another engaging addition to the series and I was thrilled that Damien was able to find Rose, his client’s daughter. When he goes back to The Chapel, he’s shocked but happy to see Rose on stage. He’s bonded to a pic of her and is ready to do what it takes to get her out of there. Rose had a good childhood until her father passed and her mother re-married. Her step-father was a piece of work :( However, Damien is basically obsessed with her and soon enough they fall hard for each other. Sadly, he’s kept some bad news from her and I was anxious to see how she’d receive it... Expect to get caught up in this fast paced romance with plenty of drama, emotions, action and steam. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book 😃

Rose grew up not wanting for anything but when her greedy stepfather decides to auction her off to the highest bidder things take some interesting turns. Damien's investigation brings him to the auction, and seeing Rose on the stage Damien was determined to place the winning bid. This is a steamy read with a good storyline, secrets, strong characters, and a great ending. Sold to the Beret is book three and a great addition to the High Rollers Club series. We are back at the Chapel with Damien a retired military man now a P.I. He’s there out of duty rather than pleasure, looking for Rose, a clients daughter. Without having met her he’s become protective and enamoured with her but when he finally finds her he’s in love. Rose is young,innocent and being auctioned off by her evil stepfather. When she meets Damien it’s also love at first sight. Their journey to a hea is paved with drama, secrets and plenty of steamy encounters. A seriously hot and well written short story and a great epilogue.
