In a world with witches, shifters, magic and fate, Masha has had to be fiercely strong. She’s had to fight battles to protect herself and get what she needs to survive. Growing up as an orphan, Masha thought she had already reached the lowest point in her life; she never imagined that meeting her mate would cause her secrets to be revealed or to be targeted by a spiteful female. Ezra has waited a long time to find his mate. Now that he’s found her, keeping her safe is his top priority. Unfortunately, more enemies come to light that want to hurt him by trying to hurt his mate.
Do these unknown enemies have anything to do with the secrets from Masha’s past?
Will those secrets tear Masha and Ezra apart?
Will uncovering her past change everything she ever knew about herself?
This book can be read as a standalone, there is NO cliffhanger. The other books in the series are also standalone's but are best read in order for a more enjoyable reading experience. There is a plot that travels all three books and is technically resolved in book three, but it is not necessary to be read to feel like each book has a conclusion.
This was a fast paced shifter romance following Masha and Ezra.
The story was full of twists and turns and quite a bit of spice.
It was good to see an alpha who knew how to be playful and human, not just overly assertive and aggressive. All characters were likeable except the ones who weren’t. For me it would have been nice to have more back story on Ezra as it would have hit harder and explained more why other Alohas are so angry with him, it touched upon it but more depth could have been added. I also feel like everything was too perfect until the last few chapters where the action really started and it was very out of the blue. It seemed as though a lot of it got brushed to the side for spicy scenes. Book 2 holds promise for getting the answers this book didn’t give and the author has a lot of good ideas.
If you’re looking for small town vibes, found family, shifters, banter, spice and an adorable as hell alpha this book is for you. I did enjoy the book overall and read it very quickly just more depth for me would have been preferred.
*I was given this book as an eArc but my review is based solely on my own thoughts and opinions*
I freaking loved it from the start. You don’t get many alphas who have a personality and tease as well and the way he responds to the mfc Masha’s craziness, I love it. It’s very heartwarming and homey, everyone is likable and has a great personality. I kinda wish it had more grit to it, they are all too agreeable lol, like these peeps are wolves. When they get to doing the deed, I swear every chapter after that is just them having s*x, there is nothing driving the story, there’s no real immediate threat, nothing looming over them. I wish they delved more into the half witch half wolf situation with her friend, it’s mentioned but there’s never really any information behind it. It sounds like you’ll get more information in the second book but I would have liked more in this book to have me intrigued and interested on what’s gonna happen in the second book.
This is a great read if you want an easy read with a small town vibe, cute banter and a swoon worthy alpha. I enjoyed it, I was really hooked at the beginning, like no one bother me in life haha but then the story slowed down and it was mainly just a bunch of s*x scenes. I think this author has a lot of promise and I can’t wait to see their author journey and progression, they have a lot to be proud of!
Side note, they really hyped up the cookies at the local bakery, like I need to try them haha
This book was such a good read! I felt the mojo coming back with this book! I didn't want to stop reading it. Masha and Ezra had such a beautiful story. This one reminded me why I love shifter books so much! Masha is definitely a character that I like reading. She was strong, smart and a girls girl. She was an orphan with a secret to keep but she didn't let that stop her from being a good person who wasn't mad at the world. She accepted that she had a mate without doing all the weird denials. It is always weird to me when a character denies something that is essential to their species and lore for a bad or silly reason. Even though Masha had a secret that was she was sworn to keep since she was younger, once she met her mate and got to know him, she knew that it didn't make sense anymore to keep something like that away from him. I really appreciated that. Ezra was the same way. Instead of being some spoiled shifter King, he had a good upbringing and believed in doing his job the way it should be done. It made him such a likeable character. When he met Masha, he didn't judge her and he accepted her from the beginning. Insta like for me! The only downside was Hallie. *sigh* I'm starting to really hate the trope where there is some jealous woman who can't accept facts and has to be clingy and weird. Again especially since shifters have a culture that puts such importance on finding mates, that trope is just a weird one. I could understand a woman just being put out about it but to the point that she acts like this one, truly unhinged behavior. That's not a knock on the story though, it was still definitely still good. Just something I'm starting to realize I don't really care for.
The spice in this book was ok. It definitely had it's spicier moments, but overall it was a 3 out of 5. As for the overall story, I really liked it! I give it a 4 out of 5. I enjoyed how things flowed so nicely with not only the characters but the story itself. I like books that don't feel like a chore to read. Like the characters and everything else that is going on in the story are enjoyable. Even if things get a little crazy within the story, as long as it flows, I'm here for it. So with that being said, I would recommend this book to others for sure! It's a great romance with a girls girl and a nice cinnamon roll guy!
When I first started reading this book, I was prepared for tension, drama, and a wild cliffhanger for the next book in the series. Not that I don’t enjoy these things, but sometimes a cozy shifter romance is what I am looking for. And this is what I received in Witch Marked by Kaya May. Full of small town and cozy vibes, this story was a quick read, but full of romance and just enough mystery. I loved the characters, both main and side, and am interested to see what book two will bring.
Masha and Ezra are our MCs and they are sweet, romantic, and perfect together. Ezra is an alpha, but unafraid to show his softer side to his mate. I loved how sensitive he is and anticipated Masha’s needs throughout the story. It was refreshing to read an alpha who knew when to turn off that persona and just be a mate. Masha is strong willed and vibrant. She doesn’t back down from people, but in a healthy way. She stands up for what she believes in.
Masha did not have a fun childhood, but I loved how she didn’t let this define her. Instead she used her experience to help others and advocate for those who can’t advocate for herself. As the mystery surrounding her began to receive answers, they weren’t all good news and still had her dealing with hurt, but you could tell there was some much needed closure.
Both MCs cared for their packs so much and the found family each pack provided was heartwarming. Never having read anything by Kaya May, I will definitely be reading more. I am excited to see what book two will bring and to get to know other side characters deeper in upcoming books. The relationships outside of Mash and Ezra were rooted so much in love and loyalty and I loved the reminder that you can surround yourself with a chosen family.
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: 🔮Fated Mates 🐺Magic 🔮Wolf Shifters 🐺Secret Past 🔮Found Family 🐺Romantic Resort Activities 🔮Touch Her and 💀
“I never want her to be left wondering what I am feeling for her, and if that means making myself vulnerable to her, then I will.”
This was such a fun quick read! Read in less than 24 hours 👀 Definitely good as a palate cleanser between longer books/series
I loved the storyline and the mystery of the FMCs past. The FMC was super strong willed and never backed down to people in the wrong. The MMC was amazing!! The way he was attentive and cared for her was just so sweet. I LOOOOVE our side characters sooo much. I can’t wait to read about Lilith and even Ryan!! 🤭
I do wish there was more depth in the plot, maybe more turmoil? I feel it was solved very quickly. But it in no way takes away from our characters. And I mean this is a very short read. So maybe we’ll have more unravel as the series goes on? I will say there is A LOT of spice. After the deed happens the first time it does show up quite a bit. But I mean they’re wolf shifters, isn’t that kinda their thing? 😆
Thank you Kaya May for having me apart of your ARC team!
I received this book as an ARC and to say i was hooked from the beginning is an understatement…I absolutely loved Ezra and Masha’s journey. Ezra is so swoon worthy and is the definition of a “perfect alpha male”. He has so much love and adoration not only for Masha but his pack. All of them really. He really knows how to take care of business!! (IYKYK)And Masha is a very strong and resilient female. I feel so bad the way her childhood was ruined, but she grew into an amazing, confident, and trusting alpha wolf, and i’m glad she finally got some of the answers she was looking for even with how sad it was. The found family in this story just melts your heart and I can’t wait to see what book 2 has in store for us.
BOOK REVIEW: I received this advanced copy and exchange for my honest review.
I blasted through this book in a matter of days. I loved our FMC Masha. That is one female that doesn't know how to back down from anything. She is so hard core and I love it. The MMC Ezra, well he gives the term alpha a whole new meaning. The two of them together are fire and ice in all the best ways.
I love a good shifter romance. They found family and touch her and die vibes was perfect. Ezra underneath his exterior has a soft and tender side for everyone that he loves and cares about. This book had spice without being too spicy. I felt that it was just the right amount without consuming the story. I've never read a book by Kaya May, but I'll definitely want to read more after this.
Masha and Ezra’s meeting was destined. He was the alpha king: She was no average wolf herself, a unique alpha. Masha never knew why. Being an orphan without all the answers to her families history and secrets changes her future forever.
“I’ve waited a long time for fate to bring us together.”
If you’re looking for a new shifter romance series with lots of spice try out “Witch Marked”. The relationship between the main couple is fast paced and the found family aspect is wonderfully written.

It was a beautiful, fluffy wolf-shifter romance, with just the right amount of spice. I enjoyed how you tossed into the story as soon as you start reading. I probably finished it in two days (that is because I still had to live :D)
I love how strong the female lead, Masha is - for herself and her best friend/chosen sister. I am so curious to read Liliths story!! I also enjoyed that it takes quite a while to finally find out what this whole "witch marked" is about. Also, there is a nice plot twist. ;)
As far as shifter romance go, I enjoyed this one. It was fast paced, easy to read and full of twists. The main character was everything you expect with a protective, strong willed female where as her fated mate was protective, possessive and very golden retriever at times, it amazing to see a MMC have the females back and believe in her as much as he does. I might also have a soft spot for the name Ezra as its my youngest's name. I loved the concept of it, the found family and the fates mates troupes and would love to see where this world goes. Thank you for such an adventure x
3.75⭐️ I enjoyed this book! It was fun, fast paced and interesting. I liked our FMC, Masha, she was strong, very sarcastic and I found myself relating to her in some ways. It took me a little to warm up to our MMC, Ezra, but I did like his character and the way he was with Masha. This was very action filled and I enjoyed that it wasn’t slow at all. It was great for me as I’m just coming out of a reading slump. The spice was good too. I’d recommend this book if you’re looking for a short and fun, fast paced shifter romance. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series!
Was given this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Amazing wolf shifter romance that I couldn’t stop reading! Finished in one sitting and was sad that it ended. If you’re looking for a story with a badass FMC and a touch her and die MMC then this is the book for you. Spice was the perfect amount in my opinion. Overall a pretty solid book that I’ll probably read again, can’t wait for the sequel!
So, I went into this hopeful because the blurb of this reminded me of what I used to read when I was in middle school and high school.
Sadly, I didn't like this book as much as I hoped I would. This book gave off Wattpad and Fanfiction vibes from the start. I read the entire thing hoping that it would get better and it never hit a peak for me.
The spice, characters, and plot were okay, but they definitely need some help and expanding.
I am not usually an adult fantasy reader, but I am trying to branch out more in that genre, but this one was not for me.
Witch Marked is an urban fantasy werewolf shifter romance that tells the story of Ezra and Masha and their packs. The story line is riddled with mystery. Why can’t Masha show her wolf? What really happened to her parents? What does it mean to be “witch marked”?
All in all, I enjoyed the overall storyline. It was a nice quick read that was a great palate cleanser between my usual heavier, more intense reads. And I am eager to see what comes next in Lilith’s book given that there are still a lot of unanswered questions about her in general.
I just wish that the action hadn’t all fallen in the last 25% of the book. I wanted more tension, mystery, and action.
If you’re looking for a shifter romance that’s not too heavy with a praise kink— this book is for you. 😉
Loved Masha and Ezra! The characters were really interesting and I can't wait to learn more about them in the next book. I adored the friendship between Masha and Lilith. There were some really spicy scenes, which I really enjoyed. The twists and turns kept me on my toes. I'm so excited to see what happens in the next book!
Thanks to Flying Pig PR and Kaya May for my advanced copy
This was a fun paranormal romance, with a touch of spice, fated mates bonds, a sassy FMC who loves getting into trouble and causing drama, and a protective and adoring MMC. I liked the pack drama, the added witch intrigue, and seeing their bond develop. It's a nice quick read, with fun characters.
For someone who usually doesn’t read books. This one caught my attention. Truly enjoyed reading this book as it kept my interest. Would read again. Great job
Loved this. It was my first wolf book and it was very good. I loved how the relationship between Marsh and Ezra developed. I also loved Marsh and Lilith’s friendship. Sisters forever.
*I was given an advanced read a copy of this book about my review is completely on my own.*
I absolutely love this book. I think it is a great day to view novel and the character building is really being set up. The lead character is strong, but also can fly under the radar when needed. I do enjoy how her character is very levelheaded and she thinks things out ahead of time. She does not make decisions and lately. I also really enjoyed that when she started to learn how to fight. She was not inherently great at it to begin with. She had to work for it. This makes it feel so much more believable. I thought the spicy scenes felt authentic. I actually enjoyed that once it came to be that she and him had a hard time staying off of one another. I can definitely see how the next book their connection will deepen and that trust will build. But sometimes people really do just have an insane physical attraction. You can feel an emotional connection, but that sexual chemistry is just off the charts. The next book in the series, I think, most likely explore and deepen that emotional connection.
I like how the book did not end on a cliffhanger, although it opened up to a following book in the series. I enjoy books that are able to stand alone while still being part of a series, so that is a huge positive to me. I definitely recommend this book.
3.5 - ARC Review Witch Marked by Kaya May Shifter romantasy. Found Family.
This was a fun and easy to read shifter romance following the story of Masha and Ezra. The story was action packed with some unexpected twists and a lot of bedroom action.
I enjoyed the golden retriever Alpha King and I felt a bit bad for the attitude he got in the beginning, but I loved how the relationship grew. Masha is a strong bad ass FMC and I’m glad how the book ended with her finding herself a bit more and able to be taken care of.
I look forward to the sequel, following the story of best friend Lilith. But I’m also very excited to see the growth in the author as the series continues. I think there is a lot of potential hiding.
Was given an arc to read and review I absolutely loved this book its a rollercoaster of emotion and the unknown mash a is a wolf unlike most her differences make her a threat to others and she's about to meet her mate that will change her forever no longer a strange lowly wolf in the pack she is the alpha king Ezra's mate and things will completely change for her and her friend Lilith. Masha is witch marked her mate alpha king Ezra can smell her blood and goes to look for her when he finds a bruised and battered in a cell he punishes the people who beat her and watches her former alpha and Luna because Ezra hates billy's and those two are he takes mash a and her friend Lilith away and the beginning of their story begins. Being different has her being very cautious of who she lets know Will her mate Alpha king Ezra love her or will he turn her in to the hunters who want her kind destroyed. This book is great I truly enjoyed it 5 gold stars

4,25⭐️. I really enjoyed this story! It takes quite a while to understand the title "Witch marked" but it is all explaned in the end.
The relationship between Masha and Ezra is fast paced and I love how they act together. Just the right amount of spice! Masha has sassy attitude that I absolutely love!
Wonderfull story about new found family. Can't wait for the next story!
