A Kingdom of Discord

Aven Elridge is going to die.
That is, if she doesn’t figure out how to use her magic to escape.

Caught red-handed and imprisoned alongside Roran, there’s no more denying what’s between them.

The time in a cell has allowed them both to think of a new plan as they hear what Cillian will do next.

It's time to give everyone a chance, from both kingdoms, to take a stand against the abomination the fae prince has become, drawing power and killing the magic of the land he claims to want to protect.

Though the battle ahead is frightening, for once, Aven allows herself to hope for a happy ending. However, at the height of the fight, Roran changes the plan and makes a devastating choice—one that could destroy everything Aven has been struggling to protect.

Will Roran and Aven finally enjoy peace on the other side of war together, or will they be ripped apart by just how far they need to go to stop Cillian's brutal magic?

The conclusion to this dark romantasy trilogy is perfect for fans of Holly Black, Sabaa Tahir, and Sarah J. Maas who enjoy dark fantasy and epic romance.

ARC REVIEW

Ok, that book was perfect. Honestly, it's one of my favorites for the year.

I won't say much because they'll be spoilers.
So, there is a war, and Aven with Roran should find a way to end it. Roran took a really difficult decision, and omg, I wanted to scream. This man is perfect.
Cillian, on the other hand, isn't. All the things than he did were cruel.

Read it? Yes.

What a great ending to a fantastic trilogy!

This is the story of Aven, a mortal princess, and two fae princes—Cillian, the heir apparent, and Roran, the spare. Our final story in The Brutal Magic Series begins right where A Kingdom of Decay ended, with Aven and Roran being Cillian’s prisoners. The ending is not something I saw coming. There is magic, the source of which is the Darkroot. There is also a young woman forced into a position she never thought she would have. Luckily for her, she has the love of her life by her side. The writing style of this story just fits so well, the characters are all engaging and grow throughout the trilogy, and the plot is perfect. I cannot recommend this trilogy highly enough!

4.5⭐️
Aven and Roran have been captured by Cillian. On their way to be executed, they manage a daring escape. Traveling across Grimrose, Aven and Roran convinced both humans and fae to join them in the fight against Cillian. In the final battle, Roran alters the plan and makes a choice that changes everything.
I am so sad for this series to be over. I absolutely love Aven as an FMC. She is 100% badass.
In this particular book, I did find Roran a little annoying and wondered why he was doing something stupid.

Coming to the end of this series is bittersweet. While I will dearly miss these characters, every character deserves to start their next chapter. Aven is such a strong FMC and following her journey was a treat. I have been Team Roran from the start! The spice was more descriptive this time around, it was enjoyable. Some of the events lead to this not being a five star read for me. I am looking forward to what Ivory K. Rose writes next.

I absolutely loved this series and am so sad for it to end. Speaking of the end, talk about a whirlwind of emotions. A perfect way to end this awesome series. Aven is a complete badass and puts most FMCs to shame. I will absolutely read anything Ivory K. Rose publishes. Her world building, character building, and slow burns are 👌🏼

A Kingdom of Discord by Ivory K. Rose was a powerful and satisfying conclusion to the series. This third installment really showcased Aven’s growth—both emotionally and mentally—as she continues to stand beside Roran, who’s just as compelling as ever. Their dynamic remains sharp and witty, even as the stakes grow higher. What stood out most was how much both characters have sacrificed throughout the series, and in this final book, they truly go all in for their kingdoms. The ending caught me off guard in the best (and most emotional) way, and I know I’ll be thinking about Aven and Roran for a long time.

What. An. Ending.
A Kingdom of Discord is an emotional, action-packed finale that delivers everything I wanted—and more. Aven Elridge proves herself as one of the fiercest FMCs I’ve read. She’s powerful, fearless, and absolutely unforgettable.

The tension between her and Roran finally pays off, and the stakes couldn’t be higher as the kingdoms rise against a prince gone mad. The magic, the rebellion, the heartbreak—it’s a whirlwind in the best way.

I’m so sad this series is over, but what a perfect ending to an incredible journey. Ivory K. Rose, you nailed it.

I honestly had no idea how this series was going to end. Everything was not what I expected when I first started it and that’s what made me not want to stop reading lol.

We have the badass queen who now has powers with the enemy prince who yearns for her. they are now past the idea of hiding their lust from each other. At any opportunity, they will be in each other’s arms. But relations between humans and fae are strained and they both know their relationship will take a long time to be accepted by both of their subjects. But they will not stop because of that.

The struggle to defeat Cillian was almost endless because she kept having to try and rally her people on several occasions to try and fight against him. But it was humans va fae. Their only advantage was her. She has both brothers’ magic in her since the night Cillian killed her.

But in the end, Aven was able to surprise him with how much power she truly had inside. With a little help from Roran who practically sacrificed himself to give her the chance she needed.

Fantastic series!!

I enjoyed this story and the development of Roran and Aven's story. There were some great plot twists and I was pleased with the way this series wrapped up. The storyline is not too complex and has a great amount of spice and banter! I would definitely recommend this series!

I am at a loss for words. I wanted to honestly give up a few times because the pace was pretty slow BUT the ending was unexpected. I am not sure if I will read the other 2 books BUT this one was a good adventure.
