跟預想的內容不大一樣,我原本以為會是很直白地直接說紐約這一區(例如上東區)哪個作者在這有了靈感而寫了什麼書,但不太算。作者是從歐洲人踏入美洲開始,一路講到 21 世紀初紐約的歷史(包含政治、經濟與文化),並在其中穿插不同時期作家在自身作品中對紐約的感受,每個人心中的紐約都不一樣,覺得蠻有趣的。
