After several assassination attempts on an allied royal, the CIA sends in operative Christina Madison—who bears a striking resemblance to the monarch—to pose as the famous princess and draw out her would-be killer.

When Delta Force Lieutenant Gabriel Morgan's team is assigned to Christina's undercover protection detail, he's less than thrilled. Gabe wants nothing to do with a woman whose rumored screw-up nearly got her last team killed. Not to mention there's bad blood between Gabe and the CIA—he doesn't trust anyone who lies for a living.

But once the trap is set and the assassin takes the bait, Gabe must protect her with his life … because danger lurks in the shadows, and now Christina is in the crosshairs.

Oh yeah. The story continues. I loved book 1! Hardcore. This one wasn’t as great but still, I’m in. A little too “instalove” for my preference but easy to overlook. I am still sold on the series and already placed my hold on book 3.

I'd put off reading this book for a good reason. I knew once I'd started, I wouldn't be able to put it down. I wasn't wrong. The first book in this series had multiple characters' POVs, and one of them was Christina Madison's, the CIA agent who convinced her contact to reveal the deadly plot to kill hundreds. Now Christina gets her own tale, with Gabe Morgan there to shadow her every step of the way. This would be fine if he didn't have a severe hangup about the CIA (with good reason). But what I liked about Christina was her determination without losing the woman she was. Her talents perfectly balanced the big, deadly SpecOps guys without getting lost in the violence. She knew her strengths and limits, and she played to both in a way that made me respect her more than even the men bent on protecting her. Gabe had a lot of growing up to do, and he made some impressive mistakes, but in the end they both found the balance to each other. Great story, intense suspense, and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Past or Present

Gabe a Delta Force soldier and Christina a CIA agent had a mission to do. Their physical attraction was hot but Gabe’s biggest problem was a decision to either continue living in the past or deal with the woman who was essential to his mission and his heart. His struggle is a big part of this action packed tale.

Thrilling suspense and smoking hot attraction, that is easy to get hooked on.
Yet another suspense story, I had a hard time putting down, and wasn't ready for it to end. I enjoyed the team, their dynamics, hard core attitude of protect and serve, and their dedication to the matters at hand.
The danger, threat, instability of the situation and vulnerability of the operation is constant and persistent. Surprises brings more action than expected, twists in the plot underlying sensitivity of the situation. The action is fast, brutal, cruel and bloody. The constant support and backing of the team mates balancing the minds of the warriors. There are many operators, villains, and motives, personal feelings mixed with politics, that keep the story going and the action and mystery flowing.
The love/hate relationship between Gabriel and Christina has its history from the previous mission, and rumors floating about Christina. The attraction is strong, and they fight it, to keep their focus and head to the game, in the mission. But the more they get to know each other, the deeper their emotions about each other get, and the development of the feelings is a joy to follow. The heat is hot between them, combustible by the time they finally get together.
Even though this is a book two in a series, it is easy to read as a stand-alone novel. Though I have to say, there are several comments of previous events, and missions, that might make more sense if the book one is read first (something I didn't do).
Burning hot romance, that develops while the operators are on a difficult mission to save European Royalty. The action is fast, furious, and frantic, the suspense holds till the end of the story, making it an enjoyable read

Exciting from start to finish! I loved Christina - she is strong, smart and sexy. I can't believe the she started her career with the CIA - she is a total badass. Gabe is a total alpha and I really enjoyed seeing him fall for Christina. Their chemistry was good and their was plenty of sexual tension throughout. The plot moved in a good pace and even though I had a feeling who the bad guys were, it was still a engaging read. The guys in Delta Force are a great team, I hope they all get their own stories. Next up is Trevor, from the British SAS, and Shelby, can't wait to read their story.

Too much nora roberts type gushy sex! The action was o.k., but the sex scenes detracted from the story. I will not bother to read any more of this authot.

See above. Book was romantic drivel. Bad,bad, bad, bad. Eleven more words to say how bad this book was? It was romantic drivel!

Started slow but finally picked up

Having read Night Hush quickly because it grabbed your interest until the very end. Bait was a bit slow to catch fire but when it did it gels you to the very end.

I really am loving Leslie Jones' books. The plotting is fabulous and the characters are well done. Gabe and Christina are just incredible separately and together. Great read.

This was an enjoyable 2nd book in Leslie Jones duty and honour series. Our second hero is Gabe from Delta force and Christina whom we meet in book one. She cleverly portrays a Princess here and Gabe her handsome, courageous bodyguard. The action and adventure, combined with their atrraction to one another makes for an exciting read
