I mean sure 🤷🏻♀️
I guess I’ll say that I appreciated seeing Souma at his job in a more dangerous situation. It brought a little something ✨ to his dynamic with Ryo. It’s clear why being a firefighter is such a passion for him. The whole situation also put their relationship in perspective. They had to decide what their real priorities were.
I guess I’m just annoyed that in very typical fashion she’s the one who had to sacrifice her career aspirations instead of him. Sure, I’m assuming at some point she’ll get another job (with or without the opportunity to work abroad)…but eehhh. I still feel like it’s a flimsy excuse that he wants to be a firefighter, so he has to stay in Japan. I feel like this is very much a goal he could accomplish if they both moved abroad.
But whatever 🤷🏻♀️ It’s their lives. As long as they’re both content with their decisions, that’s what matters.

FINALLY!! engaged!! plus the long distance has ended thankfully - I'm so glad Ryo came home when Souma got hurt. was nice to see her treasuring him too!
