Quick Summary: An end as a beginning, paranormal T/YA
My Review: Changes by Bella Higgin is book #4 in the Belle Morte series. It is scheduled for release on 12/2/25.
About the Book: "The Belle Morte series reaches its heartstopping conclusion as vampires confront danger from within and beyond their house..."
In My Own Words: Clash and connect situations come to a head and the fight for unity rages on
My Final Say: What Bella Higgin has gotten right with this entire series is the world building, the character profiles and struggles, the taut relationships, the emotional arcs, the dark tones and antagonistic angles, the tense battles, and the love. This book was on par. With that said, what makes this book stand out is the fact that it delves more so into an LGBTQ+ storyline, featuring a relationship between Gideon and Jason.
In my opinion, this story has deeper messages beneath the surface that relate to identity, choices, acceptance, tolerance, & freedom from the past, freedom from traditions, and freedom from self.
One criticism that I do have with this particular installment is the fact that it contains more mature content that is not appropriate for all YA readers. I believe this should be noted in the author/publisher notes for full transparency. Further, I believe that the book might be better represented as a NA versus a T/YA, because of the aforementioned.
Other: Readers who enjoy paranormal fiction, forbidden love stories, found family relationships, and tension laden power plays and dynamics may like this novel, as well as the overall series.

The words I have shared are my own and have been voluntarily submitted. I appreciate the opportunity to read this final Belle Morte novel. It has been a whirlwind adventure that I am glad I could take.
