Sins of My Father

Rate this book
Sometimes the ones that claim to be in your corner are nowhere near you instead they are plotting your downfall.
Love. Loyalty. Family.
Sincere, Nosakhere, and Omni have been friends since middle school and have hustled the streets from the first day they met. Growing up in the hood, the trio made sure to take care of each other, and when one of them made it out, they all made it out. But not everyone is satisfied with the scraps they received. When a tragedy hits home, their bond is tested and all truths are revealed.
They tell you to keep your friends close and your enemies even closer, but how can you tell the difference? Can this friendship survive the deception, lies, and betrayal that has crept into their circle? Will there ever be a time when a child doesn’t have to pay for their father’s sins?

Not for me

This book just wasn’t up my alley, it might be great for someone else. It was well written and smooth, but I just couldn’t get into it.

Are the sins of our father forgivable? What do we do when we learn the sins of our father?

Sincere is about to learn more about the sins of her father that was never known. Sincere is about to learn some lessons in a quick amount of time that can never be forgotten. Along with Sincere is Omni and Nosakhere (could not pronounce), who are considered brothers. We have all heard the saying am I my brother's keeper, well meet these three. It appears they are their brothers keeper but looks are deceiving.

As the tale goes on, we meet other characters who help add to the drama and plot twists. Its amazing the lengths family, friends, and frienemies will go for money and power.

I give three stars for some grammatical errors. Also due to gender of Sincere was not clear at first. I thought Sincere was male.

Wonderful

The storyline to this book is so captivating that I am anxious to read part 2! The character development is fantastic, as is the attention to detail.
I highly recommend this book for a quick but entertaining read.

Am I my brother keeper

This was some for real "New Jack City" drama. Sincere lost her parents but learned that being in the game is real. I loved the characters and how everything played out. I know there has to be a part two

It's a good read, but it's slow. It had all the ingredients to make a good drama, but it was like dragging on. I mean, the first part, i thought the main character was a man. Then it was moving slowly and slowly to the climax. Not going to read part 2.
