Book 2 in the Red Rock series by JD Wolf is just as strong as the first book. The story continues with a focus on Harper, one of Alpha Charlotte’s pack members. This story continues to show how strong the Red Rock females are exactly. They need to fight to protect each other and what is theirs. Harper has made a connection with someone and is desperate to keep them safe. And who knew what Isabel was hiding from them? By the end of this book we know more about the main characters and all the other wolves that our ladies consider theirs to protect and love. I love the writing style which tells the story, conveys the importance of what is happening, but adds in humor so things don’t get too heavy.

The spaghetti O’s make a come back! And there are Luna’s hair accessories… This group really gets a rise out of each other with their antics! And it will bring a chuckle to you, the reader as well.
I really connect with Harper’s sensitivities of body image. Makes her super relatable. Lucas is a lover of Harper and he lets her know she is perfect the way she is.
Lucas is complicated and a lover but his luck is running out. Now he wants revenge more than anything. Will he get the satisfaction he is wanting for himself?
There is laughter, love, sadness, the promise of revenge and oh so much tension in this book.

I did not think this series could emotionally wreck me more after Reign of the Desert Wolf…
I was wrong.
Revenge of the Desert Wolf by J.D. Wolfe completely raised the stakes in every possible way.
This book dives deeper into Harper and Lucas, and honestly? Their story HURT in the best way possible.
After everything they sacrificed in the first book just to be together, they’re still forced to carry the weight of impossible choices, divided loyalties, pack responsibilities, and the aftermath of brutal trauma. And the emotional damage Lucas carries after his capture and torture? You can FEEL it in every scene.
There’s this constant darkness simmering beneath the surface throughout the book that keeps the tension razor sharp the entire time.
And yet despite all the pain, fear, revenge, and chaos… the bond between Harper and Lucas never stops pulling you back in.
The loyalty in this story is EVERYTHING.
The pack dynamics.
The protectiveness.
The sacrifices.
The way they would burn the world down for each other.
ABSOLUTELY ADDICTIVE.
And just when you think the story cannot possibly become more intense, J.D. Wolfe throws even more danger, betrayal, witches, attacks, power shifts, and shocking revelations into the mix.
I swear I could physically feel the anxiety while reading some of these scenes.
The romance and tension in this book were also next level. Emotional longing mixed with grief, rage, possessiveness, healing, and chemistry made every interaction feel so charged.
This book gave me:

Recieved as an ARC copy to get ready for the 4. Th book.
There is a lot more action in this book. We dont start where we are left in the first book and that trew me of at first but then it made sense to get some story before the event we where left with in the first book.
I love that we in this book gets a woman that is a bit bigger than most FMC’s we get in stories, she has insecurities as she lives with shifters that are a lot smaller and more toned and her Mate is also pure muscles. But the way he adores her and lifts her up makes me warm. What women dont wish for something like that, a kind and loving man that hypes you up even though you have your indecurities and might not feel pretty or worthy enough for a man like that. He also has his own stuff to fight trough and she lifts him up and shows him the love and support to help him trough.
They are so sweet together and I loved their story.

I can confidently say that the author found their groove. Book 2 of this series has you sitting in suspense and trying to figure out the next move. Normally I can predict the ending or what will happen in a book based on the writing, JD Wolfe blew that out of the water!
The book follows the Red Rock Pack as the first book did but you get a personal view of Harper and her story.
Without too much spoilers, each book has a story within a story and that final story, the one that the author only gives little hints of in each book, I just know it is going to be a good one!

A solid follow up to the first book. I liked how the story expanded, allowing the characters to develop. Although this story was a bit darker, it was done in a tasteful way that leaves me eagerly awaiting book 3

Finished book 2 in the red rock series and let me tell you I’m screaming ! I kind of knew Isabell was special I just didn’t know how special… Harper’s and Lucas story was definitely a great one although the ladies of this pack are strong and resilient and put the pack first , I love how Harper fought for her man how their bond was shaken , but flourish kind of how it is when falling in love you gotta get thru the hard times and push through together , also loved how she was thick and curvy and it meant so much more strength and power , the pack just keeps growing and I’m here for it and all the surprises and plot twist I’m so invested , I know book 3 seems geared towards Jades story , but I cannot wait until Lunas story !!

The Revenge of the Desert Wolf is as enjoyable as Reign!
We start with a glimpse of the previous events of Reign of the Desert Wolf from Harper's POV, then we see the outcome of the arrest of Miles and abduction of Lucas.
Lucas and Harper have to heal after the events of the abduction, but will it ever be as it was? And will they get their revenge?
We meet new members with breaking pasts, and we continue delving into others' stories, and character development continues. Both world building and characters have felt consistent throughout.
I have loved this series, I'm so thankful for J D Wolfe for allowing me the opportunity to receive these books, I have loved Red Rock and have loved the female shift pack!

I absolutely loved this 2nd book in the series. These gals are awesome! They're tough, loyal, and funny. They take care of those that need help and take no crap off of anyone. The men in this series are just as amazing. I don't want to give any spoilers away so all I'll say is, "YES!" I loved some the new information that came out in this book. I can't wait to find out what happens next. Keep it up JD!

Revenge of the Desert Wolf was a strong follow-up to the first book and kept me invested from beginning to end. The story took a darker turn, with more violence and higher stakes, making this installment feel even more intense.
I knew there was something more to Isabell, but I never expected that twist! It completely caught me off guard and ended up being one of my favorite parts of the book.
JD Wolfe continues to build an exciting paranormal world filled with danger, suspense, and characters worth rooting for. While I preferred a few aspects of the first book, this one delivered plenty of action, emotional moments, and twists that kept the pages turning.

This is the second book in the series and picks up shortly after the first book ends. This one delves a lot into how a catastrophic event can affect a person and those who love them. The struggle to re-find yourself is expertly delved into as well as how your loved ones help you to deal and come out the other side. In the midst of this, the characters surrounding the two MCs make this still a fun read. The banter within the all-female shifter pack and their allies always keeps your attention.

Lucas gets taken. And Harper is hell Brent in getting him back. This story got the ground running. This was intense and chaotic. I loved Harper in this. She was fierce. This pulled in me so fast. I couldn’t keep up with everything that was going on. But I loved every minute of it. The violence and action was amazing. This was dark and wild with twists and turns that had devouring this one. I was all in for it and loved every second.

The plot, the development of the pack, the bonds, the growth, the spice, the action and the surprises (twists and turns) were spot on for me, in this book! Book 1 was good but this one, was so good! This is the first Wolf shifter series Ive ever read and it has not let me down.

This book focuses on Harper and Lucas story. With Lucas being kidnapped in the last book Harper will do whatever she has to to get him back. We learn some small things in this book but is left for more to find out. Liked how they except each other for who they are and also who they will become.
