“Let’s have one last competition, Brigitte. And if I win…”As the Otoleanna graduation exam approaches, Brigitte’s library visits, wagers with Yuri, and school days are coming to an end. The exam proves to be tougher than expected, but Brigitte is ready to show everyone what she’s learned and how she’s grown. Meanwhile, the patst connects to the present, as Yuri is finally able to acknowledge his own feelings. For their final wager, what is it that he truly wants…?
I felt that the story dragged on a lot. As if the author is trying to extend word count. There's a lot of fillers and unnecessary explanation of the world on what Brigitte was thinking/reasoning. Book one was not like this; it was more straight to the point - plot point after plot point - so I was pretty disappointed that it's become such a drag. I would not be continuing with this series.
Th pacing was a little too slow. Way too much time spent on repeated inner thoughts/ feelings. The translation was a bit off in some parts of the story especially in the way Yuri responded to Brigette. But I did enjoy their growth as a couple towards the end of the story and look forward to the next volume.
