Leanne Scott was born and raised in Bushbury, Wolverhampton. She now lives in Bridgnorth, Shropshire with her parnter and their daughter. Scott is a qualified pianist and enjoys all types of music. She has recently released her first novel Forever Bound, on Amazon's Kindle store.
I absolutely loved this book. I expected it to follow the same formula I've come to know and love in paranormal stories: girl arrives in new town, has special abilities that everyone knows about but her, gets caught up in love triangle, chooses the dangerous but misunderstood guy, eventually embraces her powers and defeats the big bad. This story was different enough that it kept surprising me. I was also surprised to be rooting for the nice "good guy" as the love interest. Seriously, that never happens. I like me some damaged. I could not put this one down until I finished it. Forever Bound just came out, but I'm hoping the sequel will follow soon. I like where the story is headed.

This was a cute young adult paranormal romance. Kyra is our main heroine, she thinks she's just another regular girl, but she's not. You've got a love triangle going on that involves the towns good and bad boy, throw in a dabble of insta-love. Kyra wants to cut herself off from everybody, she's very guarded, so it makes it hard to see how the relationships flourish as the story progresses. Of course you have the evil guys going after Kyra on a constant basis, but she's always comin out on top. This will probably be a series, but if not, it's still a strong standalone book.

Forever Bound is the story of a teenage girl, moving back home to her family's house on the coast after traveling for years with her grandmother. She has never really had any stakes to put down or roots to hold her in place so when she is suddenly stuck in Sutton for a year, she tries to hold back and stay alone. Despite her best attempts, she quickly makes friends and is instantly attracted to Caleb, an incredibly handsome boarding school student who seems to take a great interest in her. Complicating things are her neighbor Matt as well as some demons and warlocks trolling around trying to kill her. No big deal, right?
The paranormal aspects of this story are well thought out, though I wish that if the author was going to bring Heaven and Hell into it, she would also bring some mythology or something along with it. There was no supporting cast that I could recognize from historical stories which I felt like was a bit of a let down. Stuff like that can really build up a story line. Other than that though, there were really creepy aspects of this book and the weird stuff was appropriately weird.
I guess the problem I had with this book is that I never really believed either of the romantic relationships that Kyra is in. It seemed like she didn't have a choice with Caleb (where there was a heavy dose of the insta-love) and that she was just biding her time with Matt. It didn't seem fair to any of them and it didn't seem like the boys' hearts were really in it.
I downloaded this for free on amazon and was a little skeptical. The author had no other books out and no reviews but I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. I've downloaded my fair share of free indie books and there are only a handful that I can hand on heart say I finished. This was one of them. I thought this was a great story and I really hope the author gives us another book as there are questions that need answers. That being said the book feels finished. I read somewhere that this is a trilogy so I am eagerly anticipating books 2 and 3. My fave character by far is Celeb and I look forward to finding out more about him and his torn soul. The only minor critique I have is that I would have liked to know more about cassie, we only saw glimpses of her but she was an interesting character hopefully this will be touched on in upcoming books. I look forward to reading more from CL. Scott. She is an author that knows how to weave a good story.
I've just finished reading this and I loved it from start to finish. I was a little put off by the few comments on here about spelling and grammar but I didn't notice any issues. I must have a different version?
I really hope the author does a second book because I enjoyed the characters and the world she created. #teamMatt :-D
I LOVE this book so so much. Please tell me there is another one out soon?!? I need to know what happens next!! I couldn't put this book down once I started. DEFINETLY RECOMMEND READING!!!! #TeamCaleb
*I was provided a copy of this book from Lovers of Paranormal in exchange for an honest review .*
this review contains spoilers . . . this book is a solid 3+ stars read.though slow at the beginning,it ceryainly deserves to be read during reading mt rating went up. 3.5 stars
paranormal romance=insta-love,secrets,a most expected love triangle, killing attempts, clueless main character and a new town-school. come on you know how it goes.girl with no parents comes to new town and starts high school.two boys, one from the dark side and one from the side of light, each having their own secrets and want her for their own reasons--->("love" triangle or should i say the "love" lamda.) two boys+one girl= and in paranormal that means demons, vampires, witches, werewolves, elves, prophecies etc etc etc completely predictable? my answer would be yes as far as the first 50 pages or so are concerned.things were slooooooooow and quite predictable so naturally i was all like
and it went like this until i hit page 65 from page 66,though, it was just getting better and better. caleb who is obviously not what he seems to be,starts a relationship with Kyra in an attempt to get close to her so as to sacrifice her half-human and half-demon,trying to retain his demonic side while trying to not let his human side outbest him all in order for him to survive and go back home.caleb has it tough, people.
but my sweet kyra... she was soooo innocent,so oblivious about it all that it hurt to watch.and honestly i cringed more than once during this book. dear kyra act like it as tracy said
"You need to open your eyes child or you’re going to be blindsided. Be careful,"
i am really glad she showed some spark and guts later on.i liked her character but i always dislike when heroines are clueless about wtf is going on.and i have to ask... why good looks and some passion tingling get girls going all stupid? i really wonder.because when you have someone looking really hot and steamy etc even when he goes all like batshit crazy and there is a teeny tiny possibility that he may be a demon who wants to sacrifice you aka kill you, feast on your flesh and blood and you don't get all freaked out?Oh no! the ladies cannot help but go all like woman logic really is something to be feared O.O
but fear not, the demon, well half-demon in this book may be kind of a psycho at the beginning but he truly loves kyra and would never do anything to harm her...so fangirl on ladies all you want with caleb;)
as for matt...well.i will let you be the judge of that...
so the plot just got interesting and now things go fast.we have rituals, plots, family secrets, magic, hellhounds, witches and many many many interesting-amazing-wtf things going on. as for the end... I NEED THE NEXT BOOK!!!!!!!!!I NEED IT RIGHT NOW AND I NEED MORE CABEL X KYRA MOMENTS
in conclusion, i have to point out that my ship is Cabel X Kyra matt vs cabel vs unknown fae who she will probably be attracted to still the winner of the day is CABEL PS:i really liked the supporting characters and the "prophecy-convent-magic-cyrcle" and i ADORE gran and the house well, that's pretty much about it.
A copy of this book was gifted to me by the author in exchange for an honest review, and I thank her for that.
Kyra has never lived in one place long enough to form a friendship with anyone. It's the only life she's ever known and her grandmother, Diane, is the one responsible for having kept Kyra on the move for all these years. Diane finally decides it's imperative to return to the family home and upon doing so, enrolls her grandaughter into 'Sutton High' for a full school year. It means that for the first time Kyra Leigh Summers is thrust into a way of life that is completely foreign to her. She becomes friends with Emma, (but as for Lexi, well I'll let you decide how that works out,} as she also tries to navigate her emotions for two entirely different guys, Matt and Caleb.
C.L. Scott debuts with 'Forever Bound' and weaves us on a journey that had me turning the pages from the very first sentence all the way to the last page. I was delighted that I couldn't predict what was going to happen next or who else was going to be thrust into her life, like the mysterious 'Cassie' and if there is a sequel to this book, I'm hoping she is a part of it.
I really like the way C.L. Scott unfolds the story including Kyra's strengths and insecurities and it never got boring or over descriptive. Piece by piece the puzzle of her past is masterfully revealed to us in 'first person prose' and we are treated to a 'third person' recounting of events that are seen from the perspective of those around her. This book will have you trying to guess what will happen next, but I doubt you'll be able to do that. I'm looking forward to finding out more about Lexi and what makes her 'tick' as well as any new characters the author introduces to us, If she decides to write a sequel to this book.
I couldn't stop reading and was enthralled by the author's voice and will gladly read anything else by her.
If you like Demons, Fae, Elemental powers, magic, Witches, Warlocks and romance then this book is a must read for you.

A really great YA paranormal! I enjoyed getting to know Kyra and her friends a lot more than with most series in this genre that feature a female lead. Kyra is NOT a little milquetoast airhead that can't function without the help of her boyfriend but a strong young woman learning who she really is. With a fast paced and engaging story I can't wait to see what happens next!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Firstly, I will note that I received a copy of this book prior to proof reading.
My first impression of this book is that it is a pretty standard young adult fantasy story. Kyra is the new girl at school with something odd going on with her. There are two male love interests fighting for the affection of the new, beautiful, mysterious girl, who doesn't feel like she fits in. Add in a perky best friend, and a high school snob from hell, and it's very much like a lot of young adult fiction.
The story is interesting with great imagination, and there are some fun characters, but unfortunately, reading was made difficult by constant switches in point of view, past and present tense, and a lack of contractions which made dialogue stocky and wooden without any discernable character voices. Chapters switch from a first person for Kyra, and third person for every other character, some of which still switch in point of view, and others which give away twists and turns in the story far too early in my opinion.
I think C.L. Scott and this book have a lot of promise, but without serious edits to remove these problems and to tighten up the prose, a good story is somewhat marred by the flaws.

Loved this book and cannot wait for the next one...
Scott is a talented writer. She draws the reader in from the very first page and weaves an intricate story full of suspense.
I found Kyra easy to relate to and instantly empathised with her. She struggles with new friendships and doesn't let her guard down easily.
I still can't decide if I am Team Matt or Team Caleb! I wanted her to be with both for very different reasons!
There were elements in the book that reminded me of the TV series 'The Secret Circle' and I enjoyed that. Admittedly I haven't read the books which the series were based on, so I don't know how far the similarities go. I think anyone who enjoyed the series would love reading this book.
This is one great read. It is a longer book but reads fast. The story line is unique and I really enjoyed this concept of the fae world. The author increases the tension until the final release at the end coming to a perfect conclusion. Leanne develops each character well and soon you feel like you have known them for some time. You really cheer for these kids and hope all will work out, even for the "enemy".
My biggest problem with this book, where is the next one? The ending left me searching for the next one, but no luck so far. Probably not the worst of problems.
Thanks for this fantastic read. Am anxiously waiting for the next one.
I have received this book from the author for an honest review (LoP, lovers of paranormal).
My daughter asked me for this book a few days ago. She is 11 and because its YA i decided to read through it first to check it out. I have to admit that I found it enjoyable. I'm a 30 year old man, far from the teen girl audience for which it is intended, but it was such a nice read that I finished the book quite quickly. I was surprised by the ending but then this is not my usual genre. mY Daughter is also enjoying the book and can't wait for the second to be released. Of course I am going to have to check it out before my daughter gets her hands on it. :)
Great read! Fantastic tale. The author had me sitting at the edge of my seat, turning the cyber page as fast as my finger could tap, grasping for the ever nearing finale. She didn't disappoint. Full of love gained and lost, mystery, heartbreak, and intrigue. Lies were told, secrets were stolen, and yet midst all the death and destruction love blossomed. A beautiful story. I wait with bated breath until the second book arrives.
I really do not have much to say about Forever Bound by C. L. Scott except that I LOVED IT! I look forward to reading book 2 and learning what happened to the characters. My biggest question is, will Caleb and Kyra end up together. I guess that means I have to follow the series. With great pleasure, since this is a truly unique and engaging story that everyone will love.
This turned out be really great. The timing of the release was well planned. You are planning another one, right? I received this book in return for an honest review from Lovers of Paranormal (LOP). I am truly happy to recommend this. book to others.
I liked this book alot. I usually read comics but I enjoyed reading this book. I will get book 2 when it comes out, I can't wait to see where the characters end up.
super original and an awesome debut novel... and of course Caleb and Matt<3!!please please please give me a sequel!!!!i really want to know what happens next pretty please!!
In the shadow of the moon we stood. Three fae, two goblins and a half breed. It was like the start of a bad joke.
Rating 3.5 stars Writing Style I couldn't necessarily find fault with it ... but sometimes it was pretty weird. At times I wanted to scream things like normal people use contractions!! "I could not follow" sounds pretty weird as opposed to "I couldn't follow". I guess Scott could use the argument that they are by no means "normal". Editing Could use some. Characters Kyra In the beginning, she was painted as a strong, tougher girl that you would assume she was meeting new people.
"I do not mind what people think of me. They take me as I am or they don't, simple."
...but she isn't. She was a basket case on her first day, and pretty much has been since, though less basket & more case. She is not the strong heroine you thought you would find. She is constantly second-guessing herself & her outlook on things is not where you think a girl in high school would be-I think I found she was a junior, but I may be wrong/may be another book.
Kyra is also kind of melodramatic,
"Caleb, please call me. I need to see you. I don't know where you are or what you're doing but, please. This is life or death. I need your help. I have to see you...."
and she speaks in weird ways, almost childish, and often doesn't understand simple "slang" or normal teen stuff, example? Happy dance.
She [Emma] jumped up and down beside me shaking her hips. "What are you doing?" I asked, stunned and a little horrified. "My happy dance, come on I want you to meet him properly." "What the hell is a happy dance?"
Kyra is also extremely short
“Why are you so short? You are so very short, even for a half breed. More hobbit than fae.”
Kyra is also extremely naïve. Through this whole mess [finding out her life is a lie, her parents identities are, finding out she’s a whole new species/race than what she thought, not even human, that she has powers, even; she remains stupidly naïve. This isn’t even naïve; it’s stupidity.
I had imagined that something or someone would come along and the whole thing would be abandoned.
Kyra is portrayed as some worldly girl, smart, tough, and indifferent (at least in the beginning, I was fooled). Spoiler: It’s all a lie.
Whoever said knowledge was power was a big fat liar. In my experience, knowledge was like a dead weight, weighing you down with its implications and consequences.
She has traveled the world, but she is so clueless and never, I guess, participated enough in life. Her Gran mentions at one point that Kyra was trained in many martial arts from all her travels …. Those were never put into any use or even mentioned other than that one time.
I rest my case.
“Go home.” “How?” “Follow your heart.” Did she actually just say that? What the hell did that even mean?
Matt
He grabbed me around the waist he lifted me up and carried me through the door. I squealed. "Aren't I heavy?" "Err is that a trick question?"
Matt has the reputation that "his bedpost is nonexistent from all the notches that were scratched there." Yet, he doesn't seem that way. Apparently, he doesn't do the "girlfriend" thing, but does with Kyra, and is a huge flirt, but when he really becomes part of the book he's really sweet, jealous, gorgeous & totally boyfriend-able.
I feel like there were 2 different personalities, and Scott just wanted to have Caleb to have a little "competition" and just threw Matt in that place to fill it. Though I still thought he was great, I'm pretty sure he's going to end up with Lexi & not Kyra.
Caleb I had trouble with this character. He seemed so sweet and sincere, but somehow it just didn’t click with him, though I am still on Team Caleb. Caleb, in human form, is very … positive in a way I don’t think he should be.
A few people looked our way and at first I was a little insecure. “Don’t be embarrassed. They don’t care; it’s just new for them to see us together like this. You shouldn’t worry what other people think.”
But I still actually liked him. And I didn’t expect to. Although his demon side is a lot to contend with, his human side was all sweet …
“Did you just sniff my hair?” “I did. Sorry, is that weird? I love the smell of apples though.” “It is a little. I have to say, you are the first to do that to me.” “Good.”
Like, I’m glad I was the first to sniff your hair. Lexi She was the original bitch queen in the beginning. Then we was “one of the 5” so that created some interesting conflict. That, and I’m pretty sure she’s in love with Matt.
"The three of them looked like the lip gloss mafia."
Pretty much describes the beginning bitch Lexi perfectly, but as a person? I found I really liked her.
Emma This is the bubbly best friend, so aptly named Emma. Emma is bubbly, totally a go-for it girl. But, I felt the author was a bit at odds with her character.
“What the f…”
Or, he wanted to make this a bit of an older book. Scott had the bubbliest, brightest girl in the book, the only one cussing, and apparently to the end of the spectrum on that one. The problem was, it was always written like this. If you are going to put in a word such as this in such a clean book, then either go a little shorter on the spectrum, or actually put it in.
"Hi Caleb," she said innocently, whilst pushing me towards him. "I'm just going to say hi to Jason." She was about as subtle as a brick house.
Emma is always trying to push Kyra to take some risks… eh, hm; Caleb; and is trying to teach Kyra a bit about normal teenage life. She is also a kickass artist, and did hers & Kyra’s costume for the Dance.
She looked good in a kind of rotting corpse kind of way.
Jason He is the one we see the least, which sucks. He is more reserved and quiet, but don’t you dare mistake him for shy. He is the guy that if he talks, everyone listens. He is also extremely smart and is the “brains” of the 5. More or less.
Gran If it wasn’t for this foolish women, this book would be a whole hell of a lot different. She is a women who raised Kyra well, has some great advice, but is foolish in her choices & weak in her life.
“Hindsight it’s a useless commodity.” “What.” “It’s something Gran says, we can all look back and say what we could, would, or should have done differently, but there’s nothing you can do about it now, you can’t go back and change the past.”
Romance I actually thought there wasn’t that much. There was a heartbreak, but as far as romance went, there wasn’t much. They talked on her first day, talk a bit more after that, he asks her out, she says yes, they date, (heartbreak) they break up, both devastated. There was never any “romance” by that I mean “courting”, “wooing” and we weren’t given any evidence for them “falling in love.” Plot It was ok. It could have been better, but I enjoyed it.
“You are too late Halfling.” He laughed and sputtered. “We are legion.” Thick black bile dribbled out of his mouth and rolled down his chin. “We are death,” he hissed, before falling forward & bursting into flames.
Cover It was mysterious, and I’m pretty sure it’s one or all of the symbols form the “meeting room”, but it also kind of strikes me as unoriginal.
“So the 5 of us, we’re stuck together for … forever? It brought a whole new meaning to the word ‘long term relationship.’
I liked this book. Don’t let this fool you. It was written towards a younger audience, I think, and it wasn’t the best, but I thoroughly enjoyed it though I think Kyra needs to live up to her name & grow a backbone.
I turned one last time to look at my friends, my family. I had no idea what the future held for us, but I would come back to them, no matter what, for we are, forever bound.

The Review:
This story is set in a small coastal town, where family lines run back for generations and generations. It is a town that holds a secret. That secret is one which could destroy worlds. It is the battleground for a fight that has been brewing between good and evil for ages. One lone girl is the key to unlocking that secret. A girl who has no idea who she is, where she is really from, and what is truth versus lies.
This is the story of Kyra, a loner girl who has been sheltered from the world, constantly on the move for her own protection, though she has no idea why. She is used to being her own company, never really experiencing a true connection with another person aside from her Gran. When she is forced to return to the family home that she hates, she quickly learns that life is more complicated than she could have ever imagined.
Along her journey to the truth, Kyra is caught between two worlds. A normal life in which she has friends, an incredibly loyal and understanding boyfriend, and where many secrets abound. The other where she knows the truth, where every decision she makes has an impact on everyone around her, and she is bound to a man who has evil intentions. Kyra finds herself torn between the two boys in her life-both epitomizes completely opposite things. One a representation of everything good in her life, the other everything bad.
There were several things I liked about this story. I found the heroine to be relatable. I understood her struggle to build relationships with those around her, to open herself up to new experiences, to figure out for herself who was a friend and who was not as they seemed. For the first time in her life she had to establish roots, decide on who she was going to be, and how she would handle the conflicts going on within.
I really liked the secondary characters of Matt, Jason and Emma. Matt was, at first glance, a player who was trying to get back at his ex-girlfriend Lexi. As the story progressed, you got to see another side to him. He was kind, caring, and incredibly loyal. I liked that he built up a friendship with Kyra before they pursued any type of relationship. Emma was a bit of a ball buster, outgoing, friendly, and intensely loyal to her new best friend. She felt like a person you would want to know more about. I also liked her relationship with Jason, because it was obvious they really loved one another. They were incredibly sweet, and brought out new sides in the other, complementing each other well. Lexi’s character was typical of the snobby girl who thought she was better than everyone else, and who fought dirty when she felt threatened.
That leaves Caleb. The man with many secrets. One who takes an immediate interest in Kyra, and pursues her until she falls for him. He is caught between two natures-good and bad-trying to do what he feels is right versus what he has been brought up to do, in order to gain approval from his family. It was clear to see that he was conflicted about his feelings for Kyra, and I thought the author did a good job writing a character that the reader was conflicted about as well.
I thought that the author did a stunning job of using descriptive phrases that brought life to the story and the characters. This was a debut novel, and I find that this is an important aspect to any good book. The reader has to be able to connect to the characters, and be drawn in by the writing style. This story, and the way the characters are portrayed are right on the mark. I absolutely appreciated that the storyline was not predictable, and portrayed a very imaginative mind on the author’s part.
There were some things that I didn’t like about this book though. While this is a young adult story, sometimes the phrases used were a bit awkward, and not something I would expect from a teenager. I also didn’t like that insta-love feeling with Kyra and Caleb. I personally do not care for that in books, and I do not like love triangles. Both of these elements abound in this story. It is something that happens, and I can overlook it if the love story is believable enough. Unfortunately, I didn’t really believe it with this book. Kyra was very wishy-washy towards both guys at points, but it did seem as if she had more of a physical connection with Caleb, while she shared more of an emotional connection with Matt. She didn’t really seem to connect with Matt until Caleb appeared to be out of the picture, but it was clear to see she always felt conflicted about Matt.
Again, as stated, this is a debut novel, and that is something I take into consideration in regards to writing; however, this story did have a lot of grammar errors. Missing words, misspelled words, and run-on sentences made it difficult to read at times. Sometimes this can be attributed to differences in writing styles by country, as English authors may use different phrases and spelling than American authors do.
The story seemed to start out a bit slow, and was a bit drawn out initially, but really seemed to pick up the pace about halfway through. It became a lot more interesting once the secrets were revealed, and you learn more about the characters strengths and weaknesses, as well as get a good dose of action. The author does a good job of setting the story up as a series. There are enough questions that you want answered to keep you interested in reading more.
~Overall, I would recommend this book to others. I think it fits the genre well, and the writing style is intriguing. I hope that the author invests in more editing in the future, and is able to find a better balance between the action and the slower paced background story. If so, I believe this author will go far with her work, as it is obvious she has a very creative mind.
The premis for this book was really good. I think it is a good YA urban fantasy book with enough twists & turns to keep you wondering what will happen next. I will write a full review once I've organised my thoughts but I will just say that a proof reader should have been hired to correct the frequent errors (spelling, punctuation, missing capital letters for people's names & general grammar mistakes).
5 July 2014 After contact with C.L. Scott it has been confirmed that there is a newer edition which has been proof-read and my grammatical concerns have now been addresses.
I was offered a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
There were many things I liked about this book and a few things I didn't. I like when I can sink myself into a book, just completely immerse myself in the story. I found that a little difficult to do in the beginning; the story moved somewhat slowly and failed to grab my attention. There were also minor grammatical errors that kept distracting me. It took a bit, but the story began to pick up and so did my interest. Some of the characters really came to life for me, Caleb the most. Kyra was described well, but she felt incomplete. Some of her decisions felt more like what we'd expect her to do rather than what her characterization would demand. Matt, Lexi, and Emma could have been fleshed out more since they were so integral to the story. I found the location descriptions very vivid; I could picture the landscapes, the house, the secret room. Once the story got going, there was a good balance of action and information, so that I eagerly anticipated each subsequent scene. The ending was done in such a way that while it left questions, the story didn't feel unfinished. Rather it felt like the next stage in the adventure was just ahead. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would like to read the next one.
C.L. Scott employs a crisp, colorful style to carry the reader along on an intelligent and inspired journey. The characters are well-cast, and the protagonist is engaging. There's a nice bit of mystery about the protagonist and other main characters - I particularly liked Diane, her mysterious and wise grandmother - along with a building tension and a budding romance that involves initially a love triangle between Kyra (main character) and two other young men. In a seemingly endless sea of YA demon-witch-vampire-werewolf novels, the author manages to creatively carve out her own unique world, with a very solid and satisfying story idea and setting.
I felt there was a lot that needed further explanation, and I'm looking forward to her developing her universe and answering some of my questions in upcoming "Forever Bound" novels.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review via LoP (Lovers Of Paranormal).
I have to admit, that I had to force myself to start reading this book, for some reason I thought this would be a boring book. And the first chapters were a bit boring, But it got better.
The characters were nice. Although when I picture a bad boy, Caleb just isn't it. Kyra has to learn how to make friends en deal with relationships. She's not a very open person.
And ofcourse, there's your typical love triangle in there. Not a very exciting pne though.
Conclusion... the book is ok, but not super special. I don't know if I want to read the next one.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'm not typically one who enjoys Y.A. reads but this one definitely had a plot line that I enjoyed and characters that I'm really hoping will evolve to be more mature in the next book. There were times that I had to skip over lengthy teenage angst, general character immaturity and scenes the author spotlighted that really didn't seem to have any reason to be written about in depth. Overall though, I did enjoy this book and look forward to seeing the characters grow up and into their roles in the next book.
I was given a copy from the author to read in exchange for an honest review, so here goes. I loved this book right from the very start. The author's voice and style of writing pulls you along easily. The story flows well and very early on I found myself caring about the characters Emma is my favourite and I do have a soft spot for Caleb. All in all this was an enjoyable read. I hope it comes out on paperback soon as I want to shelve this one with my other favourites.
As it turns out I'm not in the target group for this novel, so maybe my rating is unfairly low. As mentioned by others there are quite a few spelling errors and grammatical mistakes. Also, at times I had to read as section over to understand who is saying what because of the way it was written. Some editing and proofreading certainly would have helped. That being said, I think the author knows how to tell a story and wouldn't be surprised to see more and better stuff from her.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review through Lovers of Paranormal. I love the way I got sucked into this book. How Leanne writes and you just have to know what happens next. This was a very enjoyable read and would say if you enjoy YA and a great read go check this book out. It is a cliffhanger and you will get hooked!! I cant wait to read more from Leanne Scott Thank you again for letting me read and review :)
