Toby R. Beeny is the creator of Archaios, an expansive mythopoeic world where the mystical and the real converge. His current work, The Bjornlinga Saga, is part of this ongoing project that invites readers into a rich tapestry of mythic history and epic storytelling. With a PhD in medieval literature and linguistics, Dr. Beeny’s academic background shapes his approach to world-building, drawing from ancient myths and medieval sources to create something entirely new.

In addition to Archaios, Beeny’s Philosophical Narratives series—including The Iron Way, The Babel Project, and Lilacs from the Dead Land—explore deep existential questions, blending philosophical reflection, mythic dreamscapes, and innovative storytelling. His scholarly work focuses on epic stories, from Beowulf to Tolkien.

A frequent speaker at conventions, Dr. Beeny shares his insights into world-building, storytelling, and the mythopoeic process. Originally from Missouri, he now resides in Florida with his wife and four children, and continues to build Archaios, his creative obsession since 2007.
