Pens Down, Swords Up: Throw Your Studies to the Wind #2

Pens Down, Swords Up: Throw Your Studies to the Wind Volume 2

Allen Rovene has achieved his goal of getting into the prestigious Royal Knight and Mage Academy of Yugria. Now all he needs to do is realize his clichéd reincarnation dream...by figuring out how to cast Emissive Magic! Sage Godolphen has promised to introduce him to a teacher who might have an idea or two about how to achieve that, but first Allen will have to prove himself to the old man, all the while avoiding getting roped into trouble by his classmates along the way. Easier said than done, because Class 1-A seems stubbornly intent on inserting themselves into every aspect of his new life! Determined to sample everything his new world has to offer, Allen doesn’t want to be tied down by anything—but somehow, the path to becoming an awesome mage seems to lead straight into a career with the Order of the Royal Knights... Will Allen ever manage to cast a fireball, or is he doomed to yet another unfulfilling life as a corporate slave?

When will there be a Volume3?

Seriously, it’s a great read. The characters are fun and diverse, the plot line is engaging, and it was really hard to put it down to get anything else done!

Great

I love this volume and the overall story. I haven't found a single piece of the story to be pointless or boring. Great writing and vision .

Much like volume 1 an entertaining somewhat silly read of an OP isekai protagonist trying to find his way in his life without getting too tied down by society and hopefully becoming a true mage. It is all fairly standard for the genre, characters and world, but done well enough to keep things interesting for me. Maybe it is refreshing reading about a MC being pushed into a hero's role without "working" for it and him refusing since he wants to experience all aspect of an adventurer's life. Anyway, I good popcorn read that I enjoyed reading.
