The Wrong Idea

FROM EXCITING AUTHOR OF NEW ADULT ROMANCE MAREN JENNER

Book two in the Wrighting the Wrongs series

Sebastian had the wrong idea about Calliope, and now he wants to make it right.

Calliope Harrison has enough on her plate, trying to get through college under the scrutiny of her overbearing father. She doesn’t need his TA, Sebastian Wrighting, analyzing her every move as well. Sebastian is the most arrogant man she’s ever met. He and the stick up his you-know-what are perfect for each other.

Sebastian may be lacking in certain social areas, but he is an excellent judge of character. All the evidence he’s gathered has determined that Calliope is a spoiled brat and deserves the tight rein his mentor, Professor Harrison, keeps on her.

As their paths continue to cross, every encounter gives them tantalizing glimpses into what the other person is truly like. The more they learn, the more they want to know. When Sebastian takes the first step toward bridging the gap, Callie chooses to meet him halfway. Maybe they can prove that two wrongs really can make a right.

This book was not what I was expecting and I loved it so much. Sebastian and Calliope are end goals. The way that Calliope stands up for Sebastian to his family, supports him in absolutely every way he needs, and is patient with him just made my heart melt. But it also goes both ways, the way that Sebastian stands for Callie, and supports her in the ways that she needs to help deal with her overly strict father. The way that he takes care of her, and pushes himself out of his comfort zone so that he can be the best partner/supporter to her its seriously what every relationship should be.

I really love the neurospicy representation specifically, and how they as a couple work together to make sure both people are giving their all to each other. Sebastians brothers are also so supportive and I love how real they are in the story. The banter, the ribbing, the undoubted thread of love...Gosh, im ok I swear. Its just a solid book that had me riding the roller coaster of emotions.

Sebastian had the wrong idea about Calliope, and now he wants to make it right…

I was excited for Sebastian and Callie’s book - and it did not disappoint!! This story is a fun read - it’s sweet and emotional and funny. I really loved the theme of acceptance. The way neurodivergence was written in this book was excellent - it felt real and authentic

We get some great character growth from both of them - I especially loved how they both supported each other. Callie was struggling with her overbearing dad and Sebastian was so supportive. These two started out feeling like opposites but they fit so well together.

I loved the banter - especially between Sebastian and his brothers! I am excited for the next book!

Sebastian and Callie both start off on the wrong foot. But once they understand each other they fall hard.

Honestly I Loved Sebastian and Callie better than Leah and Shawn.
I love to see the brothers support each other.
And I love how Callie is so understanding and supportive of seb’s neurodivergent ways

I can’t wait for the next ones in the series. It’s pretty obvious where Silas is going but I’m really curious about Shawn!

Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to ARC read this title

** Thank you Maren Jenner for the ARC **

“The wrong idea” was a pleasant surprise. For my first time reading Maren Jenner, I loved how she depicted family relationships, neurodivergence, and diabetes. Plus, I am all in for this new era where nerd/geek guys with glasses are just too hot for their own good! I love that we have variety in our MMC role models.

Sebastian has the wrong idea about Calliope. Although he never met her, her father has fed him all this information about his daughter and since Sebastian is simply a TA trying to finish his phd, Sebastian has no reason to believe that her father is wrong. However, when he and Calliope start talking and bonding, Sebastian realises that her father is clearly in the wrong and Calliope might be the perfect woman for him and just what he needs in life.

Calliope handles a lot in this book. She’s a brilliant woman who is picking up the pieces after her mother has passed away and her father is a wreck. He’s manipulative and mentally abuses her. It is rough reading how she is treated, those chapters are a lot, especially to people who have had this type of parents. Parents where nothing is ever good enough, no matter what you do. And it is thanks to Sebastian and how he treats her with kindness that Calliope realises that she can no longer live like that..

For being neurodivergent and sometimes a total mess, Sebastian is really cute. He gets nervous about their date, he gets alls flustered when she’s around him but in the end, they respect each other boundaries and he realises her situation is not ideal and gives her an exit. Even after being threatened, Sebastian knows how to do the right thing and stands up for Callie. I have to say it’s really easy to judge Calliope and think, “Why didn’t she just leave?“, but I’m very familiar with this type of situation, and society usually expects us women to prioritize our families.” And after years of being scolded, it takes a huge amount of courage to stand up for oneself and it is great that Sebastian goes through that journey with her. It’s also awesome that she gets another family role-model. Sebastian’s family is pretty great and they also help her and while they’re not her family, sometimes the best families are the ones we find and not our biological ones.

“The wrong idea” touches on some heavy themes but it’s overall a feel good with a happy ending romance. Sebastian’s brothers will make you laugh since they’re all very chaotic, but in the end the story focuses on Callie and Sebastian and they’re a really adorable couple. So this was definitely a pleasant surprise.

3.5 rounded to 4

Sebastian is convinced that Calliope is a reckless and careless distraction, right up until the point she proves him wrong. Realising he's been swayed by his mentor to view her as nothing more than a nuisance, he takes the time to get to know her under the guise of keeping an eye on her. From there he uncovers that she's everything he never knew he was looking for, if only he can convince her to set herself free.

*****

This started out as such a fantastic novel. I loved how Sebastian's neurodiversity was presented and seen through his and Callie's eyes. His overwhelm, touch-sensitivity, focus on trying to mask and present himself correctly in situations was done so perfectly that I was absolutely hooked.

Callie living under her father's thumb opened up so much of her character. Seeing her desperate for any appreciation, respect and growth really highlighted how harshly she'd be portrayed despite living the opposite. Watching her blossom under Sebastian and his ability to give her freedom was fantastic. Especially watching her reciprocate and allowing him to drop his mask and be his authentic self - health issues and all.

Where the book started to lose me, was in the developments with Callie and her father. It felt like we got a peek into the issues and then pulled back into more scenes that didn't address it. Often I felt like the pace was uneven as there seemed to be a rush to discover more, and then everyone stopped to have a night out or go away for a bit, when you'd think they'd want to get to the bottom of it. The entire book seemed to be leading up to the main issue with her father while their relationship developed alongside it. Having that partial resolution relegated to a single page after a 3 week time jump just felt unsatisfactory in the grand scheme of things. I still loved that we had so much of Sebastian and Calliope, but her father and her issues with him were so much of the story, that to have it brushed off like that just didn't settle well.

Overall though, this was a good read with solid representation.

*****

Super cute slow burn romance! Callie and Sebastian have never much cared for each other, always thinking the worst of the other. Callie being labeled the wild carefree girl and always finding trouble. Sebastian as the up tight know it all. When they have to finally work together after crossing paths they discover more than meets the eye!

I loved this story so much. Sebastian and Calliope are perfect. The way that Callie supports Sebastian and all of his quirks is just beautiful. And the way it shocks him every time she does it is even better. And then the way he stands up for her even when it makes him uncomfortable was swoony. The banter is hilarious, the spice is perfection. I absolutely loved this book so much- if you want to feel hopeful and loved- read this book!

I think I enjoyed this more than book one.

Loved the dynamic shift that you see between Calliope and Sebastian, I like that it was organic and not forced.

Quick Review:

⭐️ 5/5 stars – Sebastian and Calliope are everything. They are just beyond adorable and I can’t get enough of them. This story has amazing representation for the neurodiverse community and it’s so spot on authentic. This story dives deep into what it means to truly see and accept someone, quirks and all.

🌶️ 3/5 Spice Rating – It’s open-door, but it’s not overly graphic. The scenes we do get? Tender, intentional, and sooo emotionally loaded. Like, it’s not just about the heat (though it’s there!), it’s about how safe they make each other feel. Especially with Sebastian—his sensory needs and boundaries are so respected, and Callie meets him with so much care. It’s honestly just as sexy as it is sweet.

🖤 2/5 Darkness Rating – While this isn’t a dark romance, it does touch on some heavy topics. You might want to check the trigger warnings before diving in. Maren Jenner lists them on her site.

What I Loved:

Sebastian’s neurodivergence isn’t just mentioned—it’s fully lived in. The routines, the overstimulation, the directness, the info-dumping (with bonus butterfly and penguin facts!)—it’s all there, and it’s handled with so much care. And the way Callie doesn’t just tolerate those parts of him but adores them? I melted.

But what really made me soft was how he showed up for her, especially with her dad. Like, he doesn’t swoop in to fix it—he just quietly, consistently has her back. It’s that quiet, steady kind of love that feels safe. And honestly? That hit way harder than any grand gesture ever could.

The Story (No Spoilers!):

Okay, it’s about what happens when someone finally sees you. Sebastian is rigid, brilliant, and quietly battling the weight of being “too much” in a world that doesn’t bend for neurodivergent brains. Callie? She’s bold, messy, and so used to being underestimated she practically dares people to do it.

They’re complete opposites on paper—but as their lives keep colliding, they start to realize the parts they’ve always been told are “wrong” might be the things that make them perfect for each other. It’s slow, sweet, a little prickly, and full of growth—and I ate it up.

Final thoughts:

This it’s not just another grumpy-sunshine, enemies-to-lovers trope. This story dives deep into what it means to truly see and accept someone, quirks and all. Sebastian and Callie’s journey is filled with moments that made me laugh, swoon, and even tear up a bit. Their dynamic is a beautiful reminder that love isn’t about changing for someone, but about growing together and embracing each other’s authentic selves.

As someone who is neurospicy—a playful term for neurodivergence—I really resonated with Sebastian’s experiences. His challenges with routines, sensory sensitivities, and communication felt so authentic. Seeing Callie embrace and love those aspects of him without trying to change him? It hit home in the best way.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book for my honest review. And honestly? I am unwell.

Book Review: The Wrong Idea
By Maren Jenner

I loved Sebastian in book one and I’m so glad he is the next brother to get his story told. He is neurodivergent and we get to see him and his interests focused mind in the first book. I really really loved this instantly about the series.

I really loved the gentle support from the sidelines he has he is always there to support especially with her dad but doesn’t steal the show. He is there for when she needs him it’s a consistent and supportive presence he gives off.

I loved their personalities and how different they hear but also how they complemented each other. He is the rigid, focused guy and she’s messy, bold girl who kinda breaks down his walls. I loved watching them grow and it’s perfect slow and satisfying. You see how these two really grow towards each other embracing what makes them different and how it makes them each half a whole together.

Definitely recommend this book actually the whole series book one and two are great reads.

Favorite quotes:

"She is my safe space, and I’m more comfortable with her than any of them because I don’t have to watch myself."

“I feel like I’ve found my other half. I love how unhindered he is with me, that we can be completely ourselves with each other.”

"She hides behind a wall of confidence, masked with purple hair and a nose ring. But all she really wants is to be seen for who she is. Just like me.”

“No, Calliope, because I love you like I’ve never loved anyone in my entire life. You make me feel whole.”

“I love you. You see me. You understand who I am, what I need, and I can be myself with you.”

“I feel like I’ve found my other half. I love how unhindered he is with me, that we can be completely ourselves with each other.” - Callie

"She is my safe space, and I’m more comfortable with her than any of them because I don’t have to watch myself." - Sebastian

Calliope's dad is VERY controlling/abusive and she doesn't feel seen or loved by him, he doesn't see how hard she works or how smart she is. He truly is a horrible person! (He has his own problems and reasons, but that will never make his behavior okay, he is an adult and manipulative). He even trusts Sebastian more than his own daughter! Sebastian sees it and makes sure to give her as much freedom as possible.

Callie notices that Sebastian likes his own space, he doesn't like to be touched, but with Callie things are different. She also helps him try new things at his pace and she's always there to comfort him. She takes care of him and Sebastian takes care of Callie when she has migraines. I have autism and I had migraines for a big part of my childhood so I definitely felt seen while reading this book and reading the much needed conversation between him and his family, made me cry because I felt seen.

"She hides behind a wall of confidence, masked with purple hair and a nose ring. But all she really wants is to be seen for who she is. Just like me. I’m more than a diabetic, more than a socially awkward introvert. And she is more than the professor’s daughter." - Sebastian

There is just an understanding between them, Sebastian saying that he needs to recharge and then they just sat in the room, both reading their own book!!

“We pushed his boundaries a lot yesterday, and today is supposed to be about rewarding him.” - Callie

They are just perfect! They both deserved to be seen and loved the right way and they treat each other the right way. As the first book in this serie (The Wrong Brother), the main characters also have a very healthy relationship, where they talk about their feelings, wants and needs! Callie is totally accepted into the Wrighting family! She has found a loving (found) family!

**Sweet Opposites Attract**

*The Wrong Idea* is the second book in the *Wrighting the Wrongs* series. Both Sebastian and Calliope have misconceptions about each other. Callie believes he is just an arrogant brown-noser trying to impress her father, while Sebastian thinks she only cares about partying her life away. However, as they get to know each other better, they come to realize how wrong they were.

After losing her mother, Callie's father has become overbearing and controlling over the years. On the other hand, Sebastian is acutely aware of his quirky behavior due to being neurodiverse and on the autism spectrum, as well as managing his Type 1 Diabetes. They learn to see each other for who they truly are and accept one another without judgment. This acceptance is what true love is about—creating a safe space for each other. Together, they make a perfect couple, as they bring out the best in one another.

The author does a fantastic job of creating characters that feel real and relatable. The romance has a lovely slow-burn quality, but the story moves quickly with just the right sprinkle of drama, making it super easy to dive in and finish it in one sitting! Just a heads up—this series is best enjoyed together, so be sure to pick up the first book, *The Wrong Brother*, to fully appreciate the relationship between Sebastian and his brother, which continues to shine in this one. I’m already looking forward to the next book!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

These two had me in my feelings!

Sebastian is your shy MMC, who we learned in the first novel, is very anti diverting from his routine. He is neurodivergent and has his routines that rule his happiness. He also has a few health concerns that make routine very important, but tends to get lost in his work and almost hurts himself quite a bit. He is a TA for a professor who happens to be Callies dad.

Callie is just trying to find herself without being attached to her dad, not for her dad's lack of trying. She is held to such strict rules from her father that anything she does is seen as a defiance. She hates Sebastian because she believes that he judges her based on what her dad says, but she learns throughout this novel to not judge a book by its cover.

They both are not enemies but definitely not fans of each other, but yet they have an attraction toward each other. Throughout, they learn more about each other and let their guards down, and a beautiful romance unravels. I enjoyed watching Sebastian learn to become more comfortable and how Callie comforts him. If your looking for a book about growth and love while also overcoming your own guardrails, this is it!

I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this amazing novel and am leaving a review of my own thoughts and feelings.

Okay, so where Shawns book was a slow burn, really feel the emotions, I found Sebastians book really was fast paced. The chemistry and spice took off real fast comparatively. Now, it still wasn't right away, Sebastian and Callie had the wrong impressions of each other, which they quickly realized and became allies in each other. Allies, which then developed feelings and took off romantically. It was really nice to see how they each became each other's safe space and someone to stand up for each other.
Now, this book isn't without its drama. Callies dad is an overbearing control freak. Sebastian has always been reserved, never really understood, and struggles with type 1 diabetes and is neurospicy.
Now, in full transparency, I do not feel like reading this separately on its own would be as good. A lot of their development and misunderstanding of each other was highlighted in book 1. A lot happened in the end, within the post 6 weeks epilogue. So I'm hoping more is revealed and highlighted in book 3, just like how Seb and Callies carried over from book 1, and Shawn and Leah's carried into book 2.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed the representation of autism, type 1 diabetes, and STEM backgrounds.

The Wrong Idea is a heartfelt NA contemporary college romance in STEM with neurodivergent and type 1 diabetes representation, and book two in the Wrighting the Wrongs series. I absolutely loved the first book in this series with the Wrighting brothers. I was so excited to dive into the next installment, and it did not disappoint! The characters felt very raw, real and easy to connect with. You can tell how much thought and care Maren puts into writing her books. I also loved that part of this story is set on Mackinac Island (a longtime travel bucket list item of mine); an island with no vehicles and people get around on foot, bicycles and horse drawn carriages.

Calliope and Sebastian completely stole my heart. Sebastian is autistic and has type 1 diabetes, and the representation felt very authentically and beautifully portrayed. Calliope completely understands and accepts Sebastian, quirks and all. Sebastian takes care of Calliope and pushes himself outside of his comfort zone for her. I loved their romance arc so much, watching them go from enemies to friends to falling head over heels. The way they love and support and truly see each other is total couples goals.

I absolutely loved this series and can’t wait to read the next installment with the Wrighting brothers! Thank you Maren Jenner for the amazing opportunity to be on your ARC reader team!

The second book in the Wright Brother series, The Wrong Idea follows the story of Calliope, a misunderstood college student dealing with a world of pressure and unruly consequences from her widowed father, and Sebastian, a straight laced academic who struggles with social interactions and who just happens to work for Calliope’s ever demanding father.

After an unfortunate first meeting in which neither Sebastian nor Callie were at their best, both of them have serious misconceptions about the other and will not be swayed. So when Callie is forced into spending more time at the university department her father works at, by her father, both of them realize they may not have the best idea of who each other is.

Undeniable chemistry, heat and protective feelings for each other develop quickly but they’re both afraid to act on it - and when it happens it’s electric. Neurodiversity representation, found family and meddling family are all portrayed in this book, so if you like spice, heat and people finding themselves, this is the book for you.

The Wrong Idea by Maren Jenner is an absolute gem! This is the second book in the series and I am so in love with Sebastian and Caliope’s story. There is great representation in this story, slow burn that heats up once it snaps, and a few twists and turns I didn’t foresee happening and felt added great elements to the story. The spice that Sebastian unleashes when he fully embraces himself and them, is *fans self*. That nerdy botanist can visit my garden anytime.
If you read the first book in the series, this picks up right away and you’re glad to back with the family. If you didn’t read that book, it is standalone, but you’ll want to go back and read it after finishing this one. Save yourself the trouble and go ahead and read it haha. I love how the found family trope keeps unfolding through both books too.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and fall more in love with the brothers. All the stars, all the love!

This is such a sweet and emotional read. It is the second book in the Wrighting the Wrongs series. I loved Sebastian and Callie. After they realized they both misconceived one another, the acceptance and support they gave each other was so touching. The bantering was hilarious, had me kicking my feet and belly laughing. The romance between the two is more of a slow burn and when the spice hits it is delectable!

Although this book touches so heavy topics I feel the author handled these issues with care. Jenner’s attention to detail in her writing about Sebastian being neurodivergent, I was able to fully visualize what this truly means as the way of life for him. As well as being able to feel the emotions of Callie enduring the abuse of her father. My heart went out to her.

This series is definitely worth the read, just be sure to check out the TWs and start with book 1. You will come to love all of Jenner’s MCs in this series. Looking forward to the next book.

I received an ARC of this book. 4.5 / 6 rounded up.

Highly recommend. Open door romance but sweet more than dirty. It's about two college kids falling in love

Sebastian and Calliope truly complete each other. There is a lot of growth for both of them. When I read the first one I was seriously questioning a couple of things about Sebastian and both were answered here

The book is mostly just about Sebastian and Calli. I did miss some of the brother interactions in this book, there was more inter personal family stuff which made the book feel fuller in the first one.

As a biologist/professor though.... the inaccuracies with how grad school, conferences, and publications go did irk me. I love seeing nerdy representation but that's not quite how it works.

Please say the next book is about Silas!!!

Oh, Sebastian and Calliope had such wrong ideas about each other. Her thinking he was arrogant with a stick up his ass. He thought she had no cares in the world besides partying. They were so wrong!! I loved seeing their relationship unfold. The way she brings out so many things when it comes to Sebastian and how he just melts around her. I like how Maren brings in real medical issues and does such a good job incorporating them into the book.

"Calliope, you are more exquisite than any butterfly ever hoped to be. "

"No, Calliope, because I love you like I've never loved anyone in my entire life. You make me feel whole."

"Your build, your intelligence... you... it all adds up to the perfect ingredients for my favorite dish." Calliope to Sebastian

I got this as an ARC and will give my honest opinion.

Sebastian Wrighting would rather be reading his book or tending to his plants, that’s where he feels most comfortable. He is a TA and is working on a research paper. The last thing he wants to do at his conference on Mackinac Island is monitor Calliope, his boss’s daughter. At first Sebastian thinks Callie is everything her father says, irresponsible, untrustworthy, and a partier. Sebastian quickly realizes that might not be the case.

Oh sweet sweet Sebastian. I loved him so much!! I think this gave a great perspective that dating doesn’t look the same for everyone, and it doesn’t have to. Sebastian and Callie were so made for each other. She really let Sebastian feel comfortable just being and he helped Callie realize there was more to life. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the Wrighting brothers!

To start off - Sebastian & Calliope are the absolute cutest together! I absolutely loved them!

Sebastian has always thought Calliope was the epitome of a brat with no goals or aspirations. It turns out this is all because of things his boss, aka her dad, has filled his head with. Calliope has always found Sebastian uptight without ever really getting to know him.

As they spend time together, basically forced to do so by her father, they both learn how wrong they were about each other. They've never been and to be open or truly honest around others, but are able to completely relax and drop the masks around each other. The way they supported, accepted, and knew what each other needed was truly beautiful.

Sebastian works as a TA and his boss’s daughter annoys him in every way. The few times they’ve interacted, has made him certain she is a spoiled brat with a bad attitude.

Calliope has lived most of her life under the oppressive thumb of her father. He controls her every move and now decides to have his TA keep an eye on her.

Spending all that time together, they start to get to know more about each other. You can expect the chemistry and connection they share is something they can’t ignore and it’s oh so good.

I enjoyed this book so much, yes it was a rollercoaster of emotions but the characters make it worth it. Even though it felt like a slow burn, getting to know Sebastian and Calliope was very satisfying and entertaining. I really loved how Maren writes both characters personalities and struggles, and all the new fact about nature I learned.

The second book to the Wrighting brothers series, I have to say this one is fantastic. A lover for the first one, I was excited to see another brothers story, and enjoyed the setup in the previous book to this one. This book, covers many struggles and does it quite well. With exploring grief, diabetes, and more personal issues, the representation of those shown was done well, especially for someone who isn’t too familiar with a lot of them. The enemies to lovers, ENEMIED TO LOVERED. I never felt like anything was rushed, and the pace of the book was done well, and I enjoyed that there was some cute moments amidst some chaos too. The protagonists with the dual POV were very relatable and I enjoyed both POV’s equally, which I feel is not usually the case in most books. Overall, I must say this is the perfect sequel… but I need Meg and Silas’s story next.

I loved reading Callie and Sebastian's story. It was utterly heartbreaking in places. Callie's dad was so wound up about not losing her he couldn't give her space to be a normal college student. I was curious if Sebastian was autistic or not reading the book and found out eventually that he is. It comes as so surprise with his quirks. I love that even though they initially had the wrong idea about each other, they took the time to actually get to know each other instead of focusing on their respective assumptions of the other. I definitely cried in places. I also loved hiw Callie stuck up for Sebastian to his family and made them REALLY see him for who he is. It's such a good story. I hope Silas and Meg's story is next!

Soooo Sebastian and Callie will forever and always have an imprint on my heart!! How SWEET is their story?!? Let me tell you!

We get to see quite a bit of Sebastian in The Wrong Brother, but this time from his own POV. He is a sweet, SWEET man who just needs someone who accepts him for he truly is.

Enter Callie! We are just adding to the sweet factor here! Basically, two golden retrievers have been put together and it was just a refreshing, lovely read.

Don't get me wrong. I was on edge in certain parts, my heart strings were tugged HARD, and their spice? Well. It spiced.

I loved loved loved this book and I could have read another 300 pages of just Callie and Sebastian being Callie and Sebastian.

Overall: highly recommend

Sebastian and Calliope are GOALS! This book is filled to the brim with so many things I love—chronic illness rep (type I Diabetes), enemies to lovers, boss’s daughter, STEM rep, neurodivergent love…what a fantastic romance for the 21st C reader. Calliope is chaos and fire to Sebastian’s fastidious earnestness. They balance each other so perfectly, and push each other as well. And given Sebastian’s history of being passed over and sometimes overlooked by others, the way that Calliope stands up for him and falls so hard…it’s a healing romance for Sebastian. After reading book 1 in this series (and loving it!), I so badly wanted a big feelings HEA for Sebastian, and Maren Jenner delivered! Can’t wait for Silas and Meg next 🥰

After spending time together, Callie and Sebastian discover that their initial impressions of each other are all wrong. Callie takes the time to understand and embrace Sebastian’s quirks. Sebastian makes sure Callie feels special and seen after realizing her father-his current college mentor- is controlling her and crushing Callie’s spirit.

This story was absolutely adorable! Maren Jenner delivers a wonderful addition to the Wrighting the Wrongs series. I enjoyed getting to know Callie and Sebastian. Their relationship was about so much more than just love- it was about growth, healing, and how finding the right person can bring out your truest self.

5/5 ⭐️

Ugh y’all!! The type 1 diabetes and autism rep in this book was so so good. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with diabetes rep and Maren did such a fantastic job.
I have never related to a male main character so much in my life but Sebastian is a first. He was such a sweetheart to Callie.
Callie’s dad though. Boy oh boy do I have words for him. All of her friends were right to feel uncomfy about all the things he did. I’m glad Sebastian helped Callie feel empowered enough to finally stick up for herself. They both helped each other perfectly with their issues and if that’s not a perfect match then idk what is🤷‍♀️
I highly recommend checking this book out. Book 1 in the series is currently on KU.

TYSM for sending me an arc copy🫶💕

Where do I start with this book? First, I love the Wrighting Brothers! I can’t get enough of their family dynamic - they’re always there for each other and have each other’s backs, no matter the situation. This had already included Leah and Meg, and this book adds Callie to their family circle. When Sebastian and Callie first interacted in The Wrong Brother, I couldn’t imagine them ever getting together. They seemed to be polar opposites and they absolutely hated each other! When this book starts, their animosity towards one another is clear, but Sebastian works as a TA for Callie’s father so it’s inevitable that they keep getting thrown together. The more time they spend together, the more they realize how much they have in common. They have a lot of insecurities but they find they can really be themselves around each other. There are so many sweet and steamy scenes in this story and I couldn’t put this one down! We get a little bit more of a glimpse into Meg and Silas’ story and I can’t wait to read that next!
