I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. We are with the band Twisted Bonds. Bowie, Jagger, Lennon and Marley Peligue are becoming pretty popular. They are at Luminescence, a bar owned by the Mancini and Bastianini families, for their 100th show. The Perligue family had an in through Quinn, Jagger's wife. You know how they are. Once you are family, you are protected. Bowie used to seriously date Carly Russell. Things started getting too real when the band started getting more fans. She ghosted him. Bowie never let go of what could have been. He has since been on a no relationship kick. Seeing Jagger with Quinn is giving him a sense of longing to be with his person. The only person he ever wanted to be with.
Carly knows she's made some mistakes in her past. She has to make things right starting with going to Luminescence to see Bowie. She has a secret to tell him. Something that will shake Bowie's foundation, but it is time. Carly introduces Bowie to his son, Axl, and finally tells him why she had to leave. That reason has caught up with her. Now that Bowie has claimed Carly and Axl, they have the protection of the families and the MC. Unfortunately, Carley's ex-boyfriend is in a rival MC. This MC does not do good things. They feel like both Carly and Axl belong to them. So not just a second chance love story with this one.
The Cimaruta MC is taking the lead this time. Bowie and Carly are with the family enjoying Lake Renegade. It always amazes me how the family grows love as new people come. They are so accepting. Can they protect Carly? The MC Carly's ex is in is run by her ex's father. How far with the ex go to get Carly back? This book gives readers suspense. Not only is there someone after Carly, Carley and Bowie have to navigate being together again after so long. It is a long winding road, but they have a family that has their back. That always helps. I love these books that tie back to my favorite families and MC. Ms. Arthur always gives readers the background. That gives readers the ability to be able to jump into any book and get lost in the story.
