They’re everything she shouldn’t want. She’s everything they desire. For centuries, she has lived among the gods, protected by Artemis. As a scribe, Hypatia is content with her job of advancing technology on Olympus and curating artifacts for the new Library of Alexandria. Until the summer her research takes her to the archives in the court of Apollo, against the wishes of her protector.

In his court, she quickly catches the attention of Cinthus—a prince and the god’s lover. Unwilling to provoke Apollo’s jealousy, she keeps her distance, but the prince continues to seek her out. And when the god turns his attention her way, feelings for both arise. Feelings, Hypatia should keep hidden. As the summer solstice celebrations wear on, lines get blurred between what she desires and what she wants. Becoming entangled with the god of light and his prince can only lead to heartache. And bring the wrath of Artemis down on the two men who make her feel alive.

When secret confessions come out and hearts become intertwined, Hypatia is faced with an impossible decision. Risking the life she’s built for the men she desires could jeopardize everything she holds dear.

When these hearts collide, Olympus will be forever changed.Scribe of Asteria is an MMF why choose reimagining of the two loves of Apollo and is intended for 18+. This story is an interconnected standalone. There might be a few cameos of characters from The Legend of the Serathena series. Reading Ink of Copper is not required to enjoy this low-stakes, high-spice story.

Ever crave something sweet ✨ and ✨ spicy?

Because Scribe of Asteria by EM Meyers delivers both with a side of obsession, longing, and jaw dropping chemistry.

This book was EVERYTHING.

After Ink of Copper I honestly didn’t think Meyers could top it… but somehow, she did! This book didn’t just live up to the world she already sucked me into it deepened it. And changed me all over again.

With not one, not two, but THREE beautifully complex characters, this story dives into a love that’s raw, sacred, and completely unmatched.

The emotional depth? Gut-wrenching and warm and fuzzy all at once.

The spice? 🤌Chef’s kiss🤌 (hotter than the sun 😉).

The love? Off the charts.

It also hit so many of my favorite micro-tropes and gave me exactly what I didn’t know I needed.

EM Meyers, you are truly a story genius and I will forever be obsessed with the way you craft characters, intimacy, AND tension.

This was a beautifully written book that I know I’ll come back to again and again. If you love spice, heartache, healing, acceptance and a love that breaks all the rules go read this book like yesterday!

Advanced copy ⭐ rating - 10/10. No notes. Just tears and my own longing to return to them.

This is the spicy, low-stakes Greek mythology fantasy romance I didn’t know I needed! The worldbuilding is lush and truly makes you feel like you’re in Olympus with the gods, goddesses, princes and warriors. The characters are lovable, and our throuple’s chemistry is off the charts.

This was my first foray into Why Choose, and it didn’t disappoint. I loved that Hypatia, the protagonist, is more mature and level headed. She, Cinthus and Apollo were fleshed out well, the spicy scenes were HOT and the stakes are low. The ending was happy and satisfactory as well. And can we talk about that gorgeous cover?!

This is written in first person, by the POVs of Hypatia, Cinthus and Apollo.

Scribe of Asteria should absolutely be on your list of books to read this Summer. While this book packs LOTS of spicy scenes that may have you blushing, it is also one of the coziest books I've read in a while!

This MM to MMF why choose romance will have you trying to decide who exactly you love the most. Is it the Greek God with the boyish charm who will willingly submit to his loves but also burn the world for them? The Prince with the troubled past who chose love anyway, loves hard, but also reminds his god that he is the one in charge in the bedroom? Or is it the intelligent, sassy scribe woman who loves herself enough to be able to makes both of these men crawl on their knees? The beauty of Scribe of Asteria is, these characters dont choose just one - and so, neither do you.

I appreciated that Apollos relationship with Prince Cinthus was well established from the beginning of this book. These two love eachother so much & when they both fall for Hypatia that loves blossoms & in turn allows these characters to grow both separately and together. Each character has their own flaws, their own quirks, their own fears, but most importantly - they have eachother they love eachother and passionately & whole-heartedly.

E.M. Meyers world building makes you want to travel to Olympus, enjoy a summer solstice, flirt with a warrior, befriend the nymphs, and watch these 3 characters fall in love.

I am so thankful to have received this as an Advanced Reader Copy because I absolutely LOVED this book. While you do not need to read E.M. Meyers first book to enjoy this standalone, there are some fun hidden "easter eggs" along the way.

If you love Greek mythology, hot dudes who love eachother, a witty and strong female who steals both their hearts, cozy vibes, spice that hits all the right spots, and a love that will make you squeal in delight - Scribe of Asteria is the book for you!

4.5⭐️Don't let the spice fool you. I appreciated how much of a story was still involved and loved learning more about some of the characters since I've read Ink of Copper, so I learned some backstory I didn't know before. I found myself wanting more of their story and didn't really want it to end. I love how the men love her so deeply while not taking away from who she is but encourage her to find herself and stand in her power. They have no problem putting anyone in their place who tries to make her feel less than, and they also have no problem being the ones to crawl to her 😉 literally..

I think the only thing I would have liked to see just a little more of was Cin and Apollos' connection before Hypatia shows up to make it feel more MM to MMF, but outside of that I really enjoyed the story.

I'm really enjoying this world and can't wait to read more.

Read if you like:

Low stakes-High spice
Touch her and 💀 x2
He falls first, his boyfriend falls harder

This was an advance reader copy. However, my thoughts are entirely my own. Thank you to the author for allowing me to read.

Scribe of Asteria by E. M. Meyers is a why choose romance that shows a vast range of heart-felt emotions and good writing. This Greek mythology romance is engaging and well-paced throughout. The main and supportive characters show a depth of well-rounded emotion and growth. Hypatia is intelligent, determined, and finds an inner strength to be herself as she journeys to find what truly fulfills her heart and her wishes. She, along with Apollo and Cinthus, face struggles and successes as they discover their way to belong and complement one another while still remaining true to their individual selves and to their trio dynamic. I love how this story captures the vulnerability and strength of love and romance. Its atmosphere really draws a reader in, and the author has done an excellent job of crafting the world building making Scribe of Asteria an engaging read from start to finish. Also to note, this story is Spicey but so much more.
This was an Advance Reader Copy – However, these thoughts are voluntarily my own.

Scribe of Asteria is an open door Fantasy Romance that tells the story of Hypatia of Alexandria, and how she came to live amongst the Gods in Greece. She meets not one, but two, men who steal her heart, upending her normally hidden and quiet life of scholarship.

As with her first book, Ink of Copper, Meyers again builds a beautiful world, relatable characters, and interweaves funny and playful scenes and dialogue to keep the content from being too heavy. It is clear that Meyers is quite knowledgeable about Greek mythology and she does a wonderful job weaving the real-life Hypatia into a world with the Gods. While this book does make references to her first book, I do not think it is required to have read Ink of Copper before reading Scribe of Asteria. That said, there are some details and scenes that are more touching if you have read Ink of Copper. This was a relatively quick read (probably due in part to the fact that I couldn't put it down!) with medium pacing, and did not touch on any extremely heavy or stressful content. A great weekend read!

Hapatia is smart and witty, I like how she punches first and then asks for forgiveness. She was saved during the war and now lives among the gods as Athena’s scribe.

Things get interesting when she asks to take leave from Athena’s temple to travel for work. Where she runs into the one god who has infiltrated her thoughts.

The yearning, the stubbornness, the love, the logic, and the way Hapatia mind works it is a fabulous look into the mind of women in general the writing was real in the descriptions of emotions flitting through every character (although I cannot speak for the male counterparts).

It’s a fresh take on a the greek gods, I absolutely loved the story and the characters.

Key points in no particular order:
-greek pantheon/mythos
-centuries old FMC
-library of Alexandria
-MM
-MMF
-dom/sub/switch
-yearning
-absolute consent ( first book I’ve came across like this)
-Multi POV
-meek to fierce FMC
-Teddy Bear MMC
-Dominating MMC

Y’all this book!! This is the absolute perfect low stakes, spicy summer romance. It was so cute and hot 🥵 and fun and emotional!! I can read spice with a straight face but this had me feeling indecent reading in public 👀😂
I will admit, I normally do not fully enjoy low-stakes, high spice. I get bored easily and the spice ends up too repetitive. BUT this book!!! I was so into it and had so much fun!

I fell in love with all the characters and I fell in love with their love 🥹 It was such a beautiful representation of a poly relationship. It truly felt like a queer normative world and not just one an author is using to check boxes.
It was also so beautiful to see each of the characters growth and how they each find love and acceptance in the others.
I’m crying writing this 😭

🌶️: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

This is a stand alone novella in the Ink of Copper series and while this can be read on its own I totally think you should read Ink of Copper at some point too cause it’s amazing! 😆

Hypatia, is one of twelve scribes taken to Olympus to document the cosmos for the library. She’s on the verge of documenting a new star being born. During her research, she must go to Apollo’s palace due to its positioning on Olympus, whom she held a secret affection for.
“I felt as though I sat too close to the sun. I tried to concentrate, but I was pulled into his orbit”.
“A god like Apollo wouldn’t just burn me. He’d consume all of me until there was nothing left but him”.
While there she finds herself in the middle of Apollo and Prince Cinthus’s affections.
“I am theirs. They are mine. And the truth is, I’ll never be satisfied with just one night”.

This book was easily one of my favorite reads this year. The characters were emotional and all encompassing. It was a beautiful love story.

I generally really enjoyed Scribe of Asteria. It struck a great balance between fast-paced fantasy and spicy romance, with great characters that pulled me in and kept me emotionally invested throughout the story. The chemistry between the leads was intense, and the spice level was high.

The plot moved quickly, and while there were moments I wished for a bit more world-building depth or exploration of the Gods magic, I was never bored. The tension kept the pages turning, and I appreciated the emotional beats that gave the characters so much more depth.

Overall, it’s a great pick if you’re in the mood for a fantasy read that’s heavy on passion, with enough mystery and action to keep things exciting.

🪭🪭🪭😮‍💨 DAMN! This story is HOT! Like smoking Hot! It was the story I didn’t know I needed! I loved Ink of Copper and I’m so glad I got to know Hypatia, Apollo and Cin’s origins! I seriously cannot get enough of these 3! I need MORE!

Hypatia is amazing and it was fantastic to watch her growth and gain confidence. And Cin…..I do not have word for him and his mouth 🫠..I can see why Hypatia fell for him. YUM! And I have to talk about Apollo! I just want to give him a big hug! I think he’s definitely my favourite God from this world so far! Getting his POV and beginning to truly know him was an enlightening experience.

Thank you EM Meyers for letting us see the love that these three shared!

First let me say I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the author at an event and she is a lovely person. I also picked up her other book, Ink of Copper, and am excited to delve into that world as well.

Scribe is told in the Greek mythological world, however the characters, their personalities and backstories are vastly different from what you were taught in school.

I loved Scribe, the leads, their relationships as a "unit" but also with each other individually. The power dynamics were not what you'd expect and a lot of fun to discover.

So do yourself a favor and discover this immersive and unique world!

Thanks to E.M Meyers for the opportunity to read this early. All thoughts and opinions are my own*

It was incredible to step back into E. M. Meyers' world of Olympus, with her second book Scribe of Asteria.

Hypatia is an immortal human under the protection of Artemis, who is the scribe of Athena's court and artifact curator for the Library of Alexandria. A recent research discovery has her sent to the Court of Apollo to further investigate.

A meeting with Cinthus, the Prince and Apollo's lover, has Hypatia distracted from her research.
Keen to keep her distance from Cinthus, lest invoke Apollo's wrath and jealousy, Hypatia struggles as Cinthus continually seeks her out.
Hypatia  captures the attention of Apollo through the encounters with Cinthus and Apollo is instantly enamoured with her.

What follows is an incredible, whimsical love story between an established MM, expanding into MMF. The chemistry between all three MCs was palpable and realistic. The banter and certain scenes in the book is wonderfully hilarious. This is a low-stake, high spice read that will want you reading more from E. M. Meyers.

DNF at 50% - but ONLY because this was not for me.

If you like lots of spice and don't need a lot of plot, pick. this. up.

It's super well written and the romance and characters are lovely. I just need more story to get me through. I absolutely plan to pick up the Ink of Copper because I think that has all the plot I'm missing here. Still, this has incredible spice, my friends! Reminds me of Katee Robert.

🚨OBSESSED ALERT🚨
The Scribe of Asteria by EM Meyers releases TOMORROW and I am SCREAMINGGGG. This book is EVERYTHING I ever wanted and more—I’m absolutely feral for these characters 😭

Apollo (yes, the god), Cinthus (a prince with capital P tension), and Hypatia (scribe, astrology queen, librarian of Alexandria???) in an MMF romance that is HOT, SPICY AS F*CK, and written with the kind of longing and emotional complexity that wrecks you from page one. 💜🧡

Greek myth fantasy romance??? That’s my entire personality.
And when I say E.M. Meyers knows how to write smut… I mean NO ONE does it like her. The spice? Chefs kiss. The tension? Off the charts. The OBSESSION? Real. The yearning??? Devastating.

The world, the stakes, the tropes (and the ✨micro tropes✨)? All perfection. Add in rich emotion, razor-sharp character dynamics, and prose that clings to your soul—and I’m never recovering.

Can be read as a standalone, BUT if you haven’t read Ink of Copper yet, do it now for the easter eggs and full emotional gut-punch 🥲

If you love Greek gods, forbidden tension, bisexual chaos, and stories that burn—RUN. Don’t walk.

Loved this book so much! EM Meyers always manages to write such realistic characters that I forget they’re fiction. Cinthus was so charming and Apollo was adorable with his worrying. Their love for Hypatia was so evident and beautiful to read. Hypatia was amazing. Smart and funny, she wasn’t afraid to learn who she was and simply be that person.

A delightful read filled with Greek mythology, an intelligent and >30 year old FMC, minimal stress, and lots and lots of spice 🤌🏼
E.M. Meyers also portrays the beauty of polyamory without judgement or relationship-ending jealousy, which I found refreshing and endearing!

📚 A spicy, heartfelt MMF romance
⭐️ 4.5/5 | 🔥 5/5

Scribe of Asteria is a spicy, heartfelt MMF romance that reimagines Apollo’s loves with a blend of Greek mythology, tender emotion, and unapologetic heat. I was thoroughly pulled in by this low-stakes, high-heat story.

The story follows Hypatia, a quiet scholar trying to find her place in Olympus, who is drawn to both Apollo, the god of light, and his fiercely loyal prince/lover, Cinthus. Their triad forms the core of the story. This is a true “why choose” romance, with each character given space to love fully and grow in their own way.

Hypatia’s arc stands out. She starts uncertain, caught between worlds, but as she begins to question what she truly wants, she steps into herself, becoming more confident and self-assured. Apollo is bold and devoted, while Cinthus brings a steady, calming presence. Their chemistry crackles, and the spicy scenes are not only hot—they’re emotionally rich and thoughtfully written.

The prose flows smoothly, with solid pacing and no unnecessary fluff. It delivers both heart and heat without veering into melodrama. If you’ve read Ink of Copper, you’ll enjoy some the cameos and callbacks, but this one works well as a standalone too.

If I had one wish, it’d be for a subplot or two to stretch the world of Olympus a little further. There’s so much room to explore. I also would’ve like a few more glimpses into Apollo and Cinthus’s bond before Hypatia enters the picture. And perhaps a few more hint or explanation as to what happens in the time between Scribe of Asteria and Ink of Copper. (But perhaps the author is leaving that for the next book in the series???)

Still, this is a beautifully told, emotionally charged read with memorable characters, steamy tension, and a satisfying romantic payoff.

Read if you enjoy:

❤️ MM to MMF “why choose” romance

Sweet, sassy, and spicy seems to be my current reading mood. This MMF Greek mythology theme story was everything I wanted and more. I had gotten a taste of the story earlier this year as an Alpha reader. It's always an honor to see the behind the scenes of how a story begins and how a writer gets to their book baby. Hypatia, Apollo, and Cinthus won my brain and my heart. They live rent-free in my mind. I laughed, I cried, I moaned. This book gave me a contentment hangover. It's that good.

Why Choose
Greek Mythology
Low Stakes

The scribe, the prince and the god. A why choose Greek Mythology book....SIGN ME UP! This book was adorable and gave us what the characters needed for their development within themselves and for each other. Very low stakes and cozy with a lot of spicy time. At first I thought the story would only follow the romance of Cinthus and Apollo but it slowly turned to the MMF and I loved it!

Thank you so much for this ARC copy!
