Hi, I'm M.M. Crumley Your Author Extraordinaire (Also Known as M.M. Boulder)

As M.M. Crumley I write Urban Fantasy books full of supernatural action, nail-biting-mystery and; laugh-out-loud humor. Why? Because stories, myths, and legends have always been a huge part of my life... As a child, I liked nothing better than to lose myself in a world where magic and heroes were part of the fabric of existence.

As my pen name M.M. Boulder I write psychological thrillers and murder mysteries that bring the darker impulses we may not feel completely comfortable with into the light. My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!

No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!

Doc has always been a man of many layers and they increase with every book.

Always so much more than he recognises for himself, Doc is the ultimate hero - giving, supporting, loving, care taking. It’s no wonder that he was chosen for something more and that Lady Luck is always with him. This book shows a different side to Doc, as he accepts love for himself and also starts to accept other aspects of who he is. As he tried to thwart the evil behind the berserker attack in the last book, there are a lot of mysteries to be solved along the way and his friends, both on the mortal plain and in the dreaming, are needed to help him find the way.

MM Crumley is an amazing storyteller!! She crafts a character and runs with it!! Never encountered such an incredible imagination!!

Gave this book 4 stars because of my love for the series but should get a 3. After the cliffhanger from the last book I expected more. Doc did a lot of meandering despite the urgency of the situation. Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m glad Drena left because Doc was a little to lovestruck for my taste I just think we just need to scale it back a bit. Of course Jury and Doc banter is the highlight of the series and seeing others reactions to their relationship is hilarious. Also, Doc finally accepting the new changes to himself was good and honestly for the best. These new villains are leveling up and he needs every advantage, because of that stubbornness he missed something very important that he’s going to deal with next book.

Ahhhhh!!!!! This one ends on a hell of a cliffhanger! How am I supposed to wait until July for the next one???? Somehow, the author just keeps raising the stakes and coming up with truly inventive new ideas. Awesome!

Interrupted by love

Doc finds himself falling deeper in both love and conflicts. The battleground in this novel has surprising turns as Doc continues his battle to root out new nemesis. Another fine crafting of magic and mystery in modern times.

How can you fight yourself?

Doc has a way of getting in trouble and this time he might not get out of it. The author has,created a scenario where Doc has to deal with being possessed and I love a good cliff hanger

Never a dull moment. Great adventure, p!ot twists and a unexpevted love interest! However whatbis beneath the layersbof Doc are beginning to unrave! Can not gardly wait for the next chapter.

Great Story!

I don’t want to leak any spoilers and I loved the story but did have some pretty harlequin romance moments which was good and somewhat funny/odd. It’s great to see Doc accepting himself.

I wonder are you a Dragon Lance fan? Doc has gone a bit Raistlin…

The last two books in this series have considerably declined

I’m not sure what the author was trying to accomplish with the last three to two books in this series with the exception of Doc finding love the plots are unnecessarily convoluted and anticlimactic. The dialogues are absolutely exhausting is almost as if the author is trying to revive characters with a story line long expired. So disappointing… things went south when the author sent Doc to the Fae realm.
