Does hope remain for a kingdom eroding into darkness? The kingdom of Prodotis has been warned. It’s had its chance. Despite the persistent pleadings of past heroes, the people continue to spiral down a dark path. They chose to ignore The Light that has saved them so many times before and indulge in their wicked ways.
Mysterious fires began to spread across the kingdom, threatening the lives of those in Prodotis, and consuming the home of a helpless girl. Jinx Loyson flees for her life, retreating deep within the kingdom. When she is taken in by a lost hero, she learns the skills of the sword, as well as the ways of The Light.
As days pass the kingdom grows darker. Jinx strives to do more for her kingdom, but what can she do? The people are cold-hearted, shunning the only One who can save them. Then Jinx comes across the sword of legend.
Jinx sets out to save the kingdom by the leading of The Light, shortly discovering the fires have grown worse, and there is a greater darkness at work. What will it take to save the kingdom she loves? Will it be at the cost of her life? Does hope remain for a kingdom plagued by darkness?
Jinx must face the people’s indifference, the fury of corrupt creatures, and the wrath of the darkness. Will she be able to push through the dark? Can she point the people back to The Light? Or will her kingdom succumb to the bondage of the darkness?
Wholesome, clean, chock full of adventure and Christian themes, hard to put down, fun characters, cute animal (? haha) companion. It was suuuper fun, full of scripture, and had so much rising adventure. There were twists and turns and unexpected (spoilery things.) Several times I was left reeling by what happened. I liked the characters a lot. I felt bad for Pie and really enjoyed Kit Keya and Jinx. It was an enjoyable story and I am glad I read it.
This book is fantastic and squeaky clean. You can easily see where God is involved. The Last Light of Hope takes you on a beautiful journey of a young girl fulfilling Gods call on her life. This book teaches you that whatever journey God takes you on he will never leave you! Jewel Plank writes a beautiful medieval themed book ( but not the cheesy princess kind) that has you on the edge of your seat. The only negative thing I can say about this book is that I could NOT put it down!! Well done to this author and I can't wait for more.
