Well-done! AJ Wolfe dives into the contemporary enthusiasm for all things Disney, defining and delineating a "Disney adult" as well as other fandom adjacent talking points. As an example, if you've ever researched a Disney trip online, you have for sure run across Disney adults. They're the ones that know the greatest detail, from most minuscule to broad and in-your-face why didn't I notice that elements, on any and all aspects of Disney vacations, and oftentimes extending even further into any and all things Disney.
The audio version is narrated by the very chipper and upbeat author herself, and this is a well-written and interesting look at Disney fandom, and more broadly at what drives the passion for hobbyist devotees of any sort.
It's probable that the more you relate to Disney or fandom either in general or specifically, the more interesting you will find this. But even those who aren't obsessive for any one theme will enjoy the psychological and cultural observations of this impressive subculture.
As an avid Disney fan and watcher of Disney Food Blog on YouTube, I was worried I wouldn't learn anything from this book. I learned a lot about Disney weddings, Disney debt, and being a Disney influencer. I rated this book four stars because I felt some sections could have been longer or expanded upon.
