Although Missy is in her final semester at West Point, the threat of war in Europe is demanding more and more of her time. During the day, she attends classes and participates on her varsity teams, fulfills her demanding leadership roles and mentors younger cadets. But at night? She must often spy for the government in her spirit form.
Then, Missy finds a way to spy in her human form. This, of course, requires her to devote even more of her time to helping the government. She does still manage those full moon celebrations with her pack. Finding time with her soulmate becomes more and more difficult, however. Missy trusts the Fabulous Fates will help her deal with all these challenges.
As the days and weeks go by, the day she will finally graduate draws closer and closer. She will be commissioned as a second lieutenant and join her Special Forces team as their executive officer. She’s looking forward to her life ahead, serving in the Army and fulfilling her destiny!
P. G. Allison has always loved stories about female characters with special powers (Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Bionic Woman, Batgirl) along with stories about witches and werewolves. The Missy the Werecat Series is about a girl growing up with no pack, no pride of other werecats and no Alpha; Missy is a girl with fantastic abilities doing great things in today's world, amongst humans. Other books in this paranormal, new adult, urban fantasy series have Missy going on to West Point and eventually serving in the Special Forces.
Initially, I was disappointed, even disgusted. Missy was GRADUATING, for goodness sake! The fact that she became a 21st century supernatural Mata Hari wasn't something I was expecting, or even wanting. I didn't write a review immediately, because I wasn't ready to do that. However, after several weeks, I re-read the book, and liked it. I was happy the way the graduation turned out, honoring her and her accomplishments, so a good read and good story. As I write this, the Ukraine war is still going on. We haven't had Missy's wedding yet, or the Israel-Gaza war. Lots of things to look forward to, from the author. GOOD JOB!!!
This was not a great read. Took me a week to slog my way through it, I kept losing interest. Missy is becoming unbearable. She can do anything and everything. Never makes a mistake, never says the wrong thing. She was much more personable in the earliest stories. I think this is the last book I will read in this series.
This is the 14th book in the Missy series. Only the first book does not include Mises's time as s West Point cadet. While this book is the first to focus on the Ukrainian war, Missy's action features her as a seductive spy in Russia and Chima rather than a. combat role.. And, of course , military service and traditions. Throughout the series, author P.G. Allison shares an extensive knowledge of many aspects of both West Point and the military., including the Naval Academy. This book requires research on Russian politics and culture. Surely Ms Allison has gone far from a YA book about a 12- year-old girl suddenly becoming a shifter to a warrior witch werecat of incredible beauty. I look forward to future books about Missy and soulmate Mike's further adventures as she leads her special forces unit. . Ms Allison has also written a three book series focusing on her best friend Tracy. I suspect that her adventures will also become action oriented as she becomes a combat helicopter pilot. While this book is capable of stand alone reading, for the most enjoyment, you should read the eentire series.
While this series is one of my favorites this book didnt hit the same. I think it’s because of the whole rich oligarch bit. For starters it was all cringy and secondly it didn’t resolve by the end. The ending didnt feel like all the others, usually I’m satisfied and looking forward to what comes next but that’s not true this time. The whole thing felt flat. The book is even called missy graduates but she spent so little time at school and so little focus on that I don’t know how to articulate my impressions on this really. It’s like missy was a ping pong ball going all over and it was exhausting for me as the reader. It’s like missy was doing too much and it all fell flat. I wanted to be happier for her but all the happy moments were so rushed I couldn’t enjoy it. And the moments that weren’t rushed were when she was playing spy but all of that was cringy. I’m honestly not sure I’ll jump to read the next one when it comes out. I don’t want to look forward to her wedding only to be let down like I was by well every part that should have been a high point in this one
full of great reads. This is Missy’s last semester at West Point, she is also spying in Russia and joining her unit when needed
Missy is extremely busy handling all the different jobs she has taken on, Russian spy, Special forces, student in last semester at West Point, pack leader, friend to many and member of P branch. She manages all this and her relationship with Mike as if it was everyone able to do what she does. Her friends help as they can and she is looking forward to her graduation and her marriage
I have read every page of all 14 books. It is a wonderfully well crafted story of a 13 year old girl who is drawn into the woods and suddenly becomes a mountain lion. The books follow her life. In this book she graduates from West Point. Throughout the series she has protected her country, family, and friends. Start reading with MISSY THE WERECAT, you will enjoy the ride.
Missy the Were cat started out as a guilty pleasure, but grew into a proper story with a couple spin-offs, not a bad run..Will it begin a new story arc, or settle down on the windowsill and sit enjoying the afternoon sun? Don't know, but it's been fun!
I use kindle unlimited as I could not afford to purchase all the books I read. This series is quite a wonderful escape from this world and the problems that it as. I also love strong female characters such as Missy. A truly fun, enjoyable read. Can hardly wait for more. Please give them a try.
A thousand thanks to P. G. Allison for a very satisfying reading experience! I can just imagine the spreadsheets and family trees that an author must make to keep all the names and relationships straight. It’s clear that the story of Missy McRae could go on and on. My only quibble is that somehow proofreading did not catch the misspelling of champagne.
Amazing series. Ms. Allison puts in the time and research effort to insure the plot lines seamlessly mesh with real world events at the time. Great character concept combined with awesome literary talent.
I have read every Missy book and loved them all. This was no different. I sure do hope there are many more. Her time at West Point is over. Now she and Team Twenty-two have so many adventures I would like to read about. Hint, hint.
This series just keeps getting better and better. The earlier book a were great world building and now she is going out and joining group 22 she will be starting a whole new story arc. School is over, time to get to work!
It's really nice to see the completion of the years of schooling and the beginning of the rest of their lives and careers. I'm looking forward to having more Missy adventures to read. I would recommend this story to any reader who enjoys great shifter stories.
I have all of the missy books and have read them more than once. When I finished the first book I was hooked, I love the author’s work all of the Missy books should have a four star they are that good.
I have enjoyed all 14 books in this series so far. I hope more are planned. I enjoyed learning about West Point and all the traditions there. Great stories!
I went back and reread the whole Missy series a few weeks ago. It is still fun and I really enjoyed reading all the books. I really recommend this series.
This series should have ended with her marriage ceremony. There is little to be covered in her career except for a lot of words and wasted paper and ink.
