Another rocky story of Marisol and Fin's relationship. I'm hoping they can find some way to make things work because they are both good for each other. I am now halfway through this serial of books and I'm sure there will be another dramatic event or two before they figure things out.

Deep Surrendering Episode 6 is the latest installment in Chelsea M. Cameron's Deep Surrendering Serial. Chelsea is releasing one installment a month, and when the story is complete she has said that the episodes will equal about two full novels. These installments are not standalones, and should only be read in order. I highly recommend that you start at the beginning if you are going to read these, and beware that each ends with a cliffhanger as they are part of a serial. While it is frustrating to only get a small portion of this story at a time, I think that Chelsea has done a great job of keeping the reader interested from episode to episode without the reader giving up. Episode 6 picks up right where the previous installment left off with Fin and Marisol still apart. Fin and Marisol while having agreed to be together exclusively even while apart are struggling with the separation and distance between them. As they try to speak with each other as often as possible, it becomes harder the more that their schedules fill up. While Fin and Marisol continue to get to know one another, Marisol still struggles with not knowing about Fin's past. She also must deal with how dedicated Fin is to the business and doing what his father asks of him. While Marisol loves Fin and wants to have a future with him, she begins to wonder if staying with his is in her best interest and if he will really choose her if the time comes when he is forced to choose between her and his father.

I will admit that this episode was harder to get through than the last few have been for me. While I still really like Fin and Marisol, this one didn't have the same feel that the previous episodes have had. They are apart at this point, and you really begin to feel the distance between them. Marisol is focusing on her friends and her daily life while hoping to be able to spend a little time talking with Fin each night. You can really see the exhaustion starting to set in for both of them as they try to fit each other in to their busy lives. They really do care about one another and are running themselves ragged trying to make things work between them. I felt like we really got to see more of Fin's sweet side in this installment, and I liked that he was doing what he could to show Marisol that she was on his mind and that he cared about her. I liked their new way of getting to know each other by telling each other things that no one else knew about them, but I did miss their exchange of action for a secret. I wanted to see more of Fin's past and how that continues to affect his present and ability to have a relationship with Marisol. I felt like while we did get a bit more of what he likes and what makes him Fin, that we really didn't gain much in this installment. I was hoping for more of them and I feel like this one didn't have that.

I will admit that with this episode, I felt like the focus was too much on Marisol and her friends. She was struggling and going through a lot with her insecurities and fears about where things were headed for their relationship. But I really missed seeing their interactions and felt like this one lacked the connection and chemistry that they have always had. I wanted to see more of the progress of them as a couple, and I don't feel like this episode allowed for much growth or development. I did like the very end of this episode though, and I am so excited to see what happens next! I really don't want to wait to see where things go from here, but I was loving what Chelsea set us up for. I really hope that we get more of Fin and Marisol in the next portion and less of their lives apart from one another. I felt like we had just been making progress for these two and that this episode sort of stalled out for the time being. This one to me just felt like more filler than anything, and I was looking for more. I think if this wasn't the whole installment but had been included in a full length novel that it would have been fine. But when you wait for each installment to release, by the time you get that part of the story you are looking for something substantial rather than just the day to day of what is going on and their interactions with the secondary characters. I really do like this series though, and I have enjoyed Fin and Marisol's journey to this point. I will continue to read their story and see where things lead for them next. I highly recommend these if you are a fan of Chelsea's and if you don't mind the nature of a serial with installments released once a month. Fin and Marisol's story is far from over and I can't wait to get more of these two and see what awaits them next.

Cliffhanger WARNING! Oh boy, why did Chelsea M. Cameron leave this episode with that kind of cliffhanger? I mean she always leaves a cliffhanger with these episodes (it’s a gives me), but dang it was getting good and then that ending. Grrrr!

If you haven’t read the previous episodes, skip reading this review. I try not to give anything away, but in this case, it’s hard. Let’s say don’t even read the synopsis pick up episode one. In this episode, we have Marisol doubting her relationship with Fin. It’s kind of hard to have a relationship when your boyfriend is overseas working for his father with their company. Marisol is having doubts on moving forward because of what Fin has endured in his life. She knows he’s keeping darker secrets from her, and she wants to know Fin for who he is. At least in this episode Fin is stepping up against his father. His father is nothing but a jerk in my eyes. Marisol is also dealing with something with her parents.

It’s a BIG cliffhanger that is all I have to say about this episode. More questions than answers, but at least Marisol is questioning their relationship and Fin is finally stepping up. Oh…but that dang cliffhanger. Grrr! I know the next episode is going to have a lot of juicy stuff with it. I know it. =) There is a note in the back of the episode that states it’s going to get darker.

There wasn’t much romance in this episode, but there was everything else you would need in a New Adult.

I give this episode 3.5 moons and recommend it to New Adult readers out there. If you aren’t into serials, then I highly recommend waiting for ALL the episodes to come out. Chelsea pushes these episodes out quickly, but it may still drive readers crazy. That dang cliffhanger in this one. I can’t say it enough. Grrr!

I'm not sure you realize just how difficult it is to review a novella serial like this one! I want to tell you just enough to make you WANT to read it, without spoiling what happened in this episode (or the ones that came before)! So, here goes nothing.

After the heart-stopping cliffhanger at the end of the fifth episode, I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I started this one. My fears that the story was going to take an unwelcome turn were quickly assuaged, however. (Thank goodness.) Fin and Marisol are still separated in this episode, which means the focus remains not on the sexy (and slightly dirty) times they have together, but on whether or not they can maintain what they have while they're apart. The other way this episode differs from the others is that there's a bigger emphasis on some of Marisol's other relationships. The one that sticks out to me most is her friendship with Chloe. I love the dynamic between them. Theirs is an example of a great bookish friendship.

While I did find this episode a little slower than the others, I feel like it was a necessary break. It's worth mentioning there's another WICKED cliffhanger in episode six. I swear, this series has the best-slash-worst cliffhangers! I know the next edition will be here in a few short weeks, but STILL. These endings are killing me. But, they're doing what they're meant to... keeping me wanting more!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Episode Five of Deep Surrendering was a little slow for me. Even though Episode Six lagged a bit I still enjoyed it more than Episode Five. I agree with Marisol that their relationship, like this episode, was in “stasis.” But, I understand how it is necessary and it was a nice bridge between Fin being gone and his anticipated return.

With Fin overseas Marisol continues to question everything. Fin’s disappearing acts in the beginning of their relationship would have caused me to be uneasy too. But before he left I really felt like they had things together. I also wasn’t excited with the way her friends felt about the relationship, especially Chloe. Chloe obviously has her own problems; she needs to lay off Marisol’s. Fin needs to get home asap before Marisol (and her friends) talk her out of a relationship.

Things I loved about this episode? We find out Marisol used to write fanfic – super awesome! Fin has bookplates in all his books, “The Library of Fintan Herald” – his addiction to reading seriously only makes me love him more. Plus, the end of this episode and the bonus scene from Fin’s pov are seriously swoon worthy. Overall I liked this episode, I just didn’t love it. But with an end like that I can tell it’s only going to get better.

I did like this episode. Honestly, I'm surprise by that. There isn't a lot happening in this episode. Fin is still out of the country, so Marisol and himself have been communicating over phone and video chats. So, a couple of times she goes out her friends. Which is no big deal, but Chloe starts make her question her relationship with Fin. Granted she has these same thoughts, but now they are voiced out loud. I understand where Chloe is coming from, but at the same time why does she have to rain on Marisol's parade. At the same time we get to know Carl a little better (he's the driver). I actually like the fact we are getting to know a little more about him, because he's always there. We still don't know what's going on with Marisol's parents, but there are clues and hopefully one day we will know what the heck is going on there. Still don't like Fin's dad, and still is a piece of work.

Granted this part of the story is pretty mellow, but it's something that needs to happen. Hopefully, Marisol and Fin will overcome this rocky part of the relationship. So yes, I liked this part even though some of it was kind of a downer. Lets see what happens next.

After 5 episodes, I just have to know what's going on with this conflictive couple.

Life is full of uncertainties for Marisol. Friends, family, and Fin. All add to her anxiety, but she's determined to push through.

Even though they're still separated by distance, Fin and Marisol are wonderfully connected. Some scenes are cute and funny, and they always flow naturally.

Fin is getting bolder in his steps for freedom from his father's hold on him. He also plans something incredibly romantic that only a very rich and thoughtful person could get away with. I envied Marisol so much!

In this episode, she is riddled with doubts. She goes from defending her relationship to stressing about its futility. She wants more and is not sure she can get it. Chloe, her friend, is really great with her. Their friendship really shines here. On the other hand, the mystery around Marisol's mother still bangs my head.

I was sorry to see that Fin's job still keeps them apart, so no sexy times yet. Though that ending is SO promising. I can't wait to read episode 7. It's going to be a hell of a party!

With this installment in the DEEP SURRENDERING story, we find Marisol spending a lot of time contemplating just what is up with the very elusive Fin and worrying that something is seriously wrong with her mother.

Normally, I would love it when a character starts contemplating their relationship, whether it be with a lover or their family. But it seemed as if Marisol was looking for the bad. What was Fin hiding? What are my parents hiding? We know there is more to Fin, so instead of trying to figure out if he's hiding something, work to learn the man...even if he's a continent away. As for her parents, it's obvious they are hiding something. She witnessed her mother and could tell something was wrong. Instead of trying to use different tactics to figure out what's going on...ask.

This wasn't my favorite of the series, because there wasn't a lot of Fin. But with the ending to this episode I'm looking forward to Marisol's reaction to Fin being on the other side of the door.

Please bear in mind that this is the sixth episode in the serialization and therefore may contain spoilers for the previous episodes.

While I am fully invested in Marisol and Finn I can’t help but be frustrated with the serialization. Being an instant gratification kinda girl I really need to get to the nitty gritty of the plot.

Episode 6 shows a tremendous amount of character development. Yet, as always with this relationship, there is a continuous nagging doubt at the back of my mind. You can’t help but anticipate the point where it is all going to come crashing down leaving you a devastated heap on the floor.

The timeline and crossover of the characters with the Surrendering Saga, especially Rory and Lucah, added an additional depth of connection as well as a roundness to the plot.

I really wish Deep Surrendering was a full length novel as opposed to a serialization. That way I would be able to devour it in one sitting ;)

I definitely enjoyed this episode better than the last one! I was so relieved to have Marisol and Fin working things out. I was so scared after the huge cliffhanger at the end of Episode 5. In this one we still have them trying to work out their long distance relationship. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!!
