Imagine this: You're snuggled up on the couch with your best friend, warm blankets cocooning you like a giant hug, sipping coffee, and having one of those deep, life-changing talks. You know the kind—the ones where you're part sobbing, part laughing, but somehow, you feel good about all of it. Like, “Wow, I’m actually kind of grateful that I'm a hot mess right now.” The kind that leads to all sorts of revelations about your relationships, your life, and those damaging little stories you tell yourself about who you are and what you’re capable of. Sure, it sucks, but in a heart-opening, “I’m healing right now” kind of way. Never Too Late: Growing Up Before You Grow Old by Megan Hart Ness is exactly like that moment.

This book wraps you up in a blanket of warmth and cozy wisdom, while gently poking at all the parts of yourself that need a little push for growth. It's like having a heart-to-heart with a friend who knows you just enough to give you the tough love you didn’t know you needed—but with a hug and a smile. Each anecdote from Megan will have you going, "Wait, I thought I was the only one who felt that way!" And by the end, you’ll find yourself empowered and maybe even a little bit excited to face whatever changes need to happen in your own life.

If you’re someone who bonds with books like they’re old friends, this one will slide right into your inner circle. Prepare to laugh, cry, and most importantly—realize it’s never too late to start something new, even if that something is just learning to embrace the messy, beautiful process of growing up.

I approached this book with cautious optimism not knowing where it would fall in the lineup of self help books available. I have read quite a few. Immediately, I was impressed by the writing style and its ease and relatability. Megan writes in a way that not only makes you want to continue reading, but also helps you dive into issues you’ve maybe been struggling with for some time. I found myself stepping up and out of this hole I was nestled in by discovering new ways to view my choices, actions, and lack thereof.

For the most part, the structure of the book was set up very well with call backs to prior chapters keeping things top of mind. Occasionally, I found myself lost and a little disconnected but the stories, shout outs to other inspiring writers, directors, etc. created a constant intrigue and sense of grounding that I appreciated.

I would compare this book to authors such as Rachel Hollis and Jennie Allen. Easy to read with helpful advice along the way. It was a timely read for me that I am thankful for.

You're never to old to regrow up.

At almost 70...I didn't believe it really mattered that my life had taken so many disappointing turns or that my life dreams could never be realized at this age. As I've been reading and rereading this book, I'm understanding why I made decisions that led me away from my dreams as a young woman. I'm learning not to regret my life...but to learn how to finish my life living it fully on my terms..not on the expectations of others. Thank you Megan Ness.

This book had me reflect on so many life situations, and take an empowering look at how I viewed the situations. The style had me feel I was having a free flowing conversation with Megan where we each shared stories about life experiences, and how they shaped who we are.

Of course growth is the objective, and the questions at the end of each chapter was my favorite part because they guided me to specific take aways from lessons in each chapter.

A wonderful easy read that helped me gain valuable insights that can be applied in practical ways.

Complete Arsenal of Tools to be Fully You and Live Your Best a Life

Megan brilliantly lays out the why, the problem, and solution of looking inside and finding the best version of you. There are so many cliches and empty empty advice around the idea of “being yourself” but very little tangible action items. This books solves that and gives readers an elegant picture of why and how to own who you are and bring an immense amount of stillness and peace to our journey on this rock.
