Liked this plot and character, she’s a survivor, some belief-suspension required (suddenly she’s a kick boxer?!) but an enjoyable plot (warning; child-crimes). Pretty clean.

Good-not great. I am not rushing to get the 2nd book but this book was a good, quick read. It is entraining, I liked the characters and it had a good plot.

I don't think I've ever said this, but this is a book that was too short for the story. At 206 pages, the plot held little depth and failed to deliver any tension or suspense. Overall, the story just skimmed the surface and never delved enough into the subject to really hold my interest. It felt like a Cliff's Note version of a book - gives you the highlights but not the motivations.
Another issue I had is in the way the main character, Sarah Steele, was portrayed. It felt like the author struggled to give us an authentic female protagonist and went with a more sterotypical character.
It was just ok and I don't see me going any further with this series.

In today's age of hiring a bunch of expensive lawyers to cheat justice; this is a story of "Blind Lady Justice" and her not blind lady assistant. Between the action, intrigue, it is Non-stop. A familiar sounding town/empire and believable characters made this a book I didn't want to put down. I have the next two books in the series in my reading queue.

This one was a little hard for me to take, from time to time. The Ru club. Solomon -- not credible for me. Hank (or Glen) being able to avoid a gunshot to the face at close range. A bit hard for me to "willingly suspend disbelief. But I did read the whole thing.

It was a good book, suspenseful, lots of twists and turns. Maybe a little drawn out in some aspects, but good none the less.

x-rated. Horror. Kidnap, torture, kill, repeat.One case expands, twists. Identical twins is so misused. Über-conspiracy rich twisted corrupt-- gee wasn't that yesterday's news?

Breaking Steele
I loved the story! Fast and easy to follow. I worked in my younger days as a minority, because I was a female! Loved that she could handle herself. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoy’s murder mysteries.

A must for lovers of a great thriller and a strong female heroine!
Breaking Steele introduces us to Sarah Steele, an incredibly conflicted woman in her search for justice. Will she do everything by the book, or is she, like so many, intent on serving her own brand of justice!! An excellent and thrilling read and also a part of the Deadly Dozen box set.
I will be following Sarah as she continues in her chosen career and faces tough decisions and criminals nightmares are made of!!

Not A Bad First Of Series!
At first I was bored with the opening chapters and the characters weren't developed well so the whole first section seemed cheesy and thin. But when people start getting taken, the action starts to pick up and Sarah Steele decides to get tough, the takes on a whole new level of meaning.

Read this book in the Deadly Dozen. Very good book. Breaking Steele by AAron Paterson. Could not put it down, had to see what was going to happen on the next page.
