Elementals: Shadow Of Awakening

Rate this book
In a world where beings known as Elementals wield immense powers tied to the very elements of nature, Arthur Griffo has always dreamed of becoming one. Where these powerful individuals defend the people of Royalen within and along nation borders, his longing to join their ranks has consumed him for as long as he can remember. But when his wish is finally granted, Arthur’s reality is torn apart as he discovers that he is not just any Elemental—he is a Dark Elemental. This revelation shatters his world, for Dark Elementals are feared and shunned by society. Not only does Arthur struggle to understand the full extent of his powers, but he must also navigate a world that sees him as a dangerous anomaly.

His world is further upended when his parents are brutally murdered under mysterious circumstances. The incident leaves Arthur with a thirst for vengeance and answers. Determined to understand his abilities and uncover the truth behind his parents' deaths, he enrolls at the prestigious Mando Elemental Academy. At this renowned institution, students are trained to master their elemental powers. Under the guidance of Director Joseph Krinn, a man considered the strongest Elemental in the nation and revered for his wisdom and understanding of Elemental nature, Arthur hopes to learn how to control his dark powers.

However, fitting in at Mando Academy is not as simple as Arthur had hoped. The weight of his secret is a constant burden. He must hide his powers from his peers, fearing that any slip-up would expose him as the very thing everyone fears. His childhood friend, Jackon, an Air Elemental, stands by his side, offering support and companionship in the face of their shared struggles. But Jackon, too, has his burdens, and the two often find themselves questioning their place in a world that seems more hostile than ever.

As Arthur forms new friendships with Scarlet, an awkward but kind fellow student, and Stefan, a charismatic upperclassman with his own complex past, the pressure of concealing his true identity becomes even more intense. Scarlet’s relentless curiosity and Stefan’s growing suspicions make it harder than ever to keep his powers hidden. Arthur soon realizes that once a sanctuary, the academy may become a dangerous battleground where the truth of his identity could destroy everything he’s worked to protect.
