ARC READ! Thank you Nicole for the privilege!
As far as MC novels go, this was a pretty tame version of them, which was slightly disappointing, however the characters were all likable, and the ending was great!
I enjoyed how it started. The free, drifter girl meets the hot biker and spend the night together. He disappears, she returns to real life only for him to appear again as her boss. I really liked this idea for a story line!
I like how Cass was a mystery, and that his activities with the MC keep us (and Lilly) guessing, however I felt like his personality was a bit of a mystery too. Felt like a lack of character depth with that one, but I have hopes for book two!
Full honesty, I was not a fan of the spicy scenes!! I absolutely could not get into their dirty talk. Way too much use of the word ‘baby’ for me, and it felt like the scenes ended before they began. On this topic, the cover picture absolutely does not do it for me. The description of Cass was hot, the cover model… not my vibe. At all. Couldn’t stop picturing Cass as a hairy, old, overweight man (sorry!!).
For a novel about a MC, there was VERY little information about it. We hear about the bikes, the cuts, we meet some members, but it probably isn’t until the last 50 or so pages that it actually starts feeling like a MC novel. And I REALLY enjoyed the last 50 pages! I’m looking forward to reading more about Lucifer’s Hounds MC and hopefully delving more into the club life.
