The Alpine Protocol

Rate this book
In the final months of World War II, as the Reich crumbled, whispers of impossible technologies and secret experiments drifted through the ranks of Allied intelligence. When the guns fell silent, those whispers turned into questions—and the answers lay buried in the shadowed bunkers of the Bavarian Alps.

Sergeant James Cole thought the war was over. But in the ruins of Nazi Germany, his new orders are uncover the truth behind a hidden facility, one that doesn’t exist on any map. What he finds is more than abandoned research and forgotten horrors. It’s a trail of secrets left by a vanished SS officer, a man whose ambitions stretched far beyond the war’s end.

As Cole and his team of Allied soldiers descend into the dark, they discover that some doors were never meant to be opened, and some nightmares refuse to stay buried.

What was the Reich building in those final days? And how far would they go to keep it hidden?

The war is over. The fight has just begun.

"Gripping and cinematic, The Alpine Protocol plunges readers into a post-WWII sci-fi thriller where buried Nazi secrets, lost technologies, and unspeakable horrors collide in a race against time beneath the shadowed peaks of the Bavarian Alps." – NewInBooks.com

I really liked this short story, but as it is a short story (140 pages), it lacks a lot of character building detail. Going in not expecting a deep dive into all the characters, it holds up well as an interesting and tension-filled story.

HOLY COW. GRAB YOUR POPCORN LADIES AND GENTS BECAUSE THIS IS 👌🏼 From the first chapter I was hooked and I couldn't stop reading. It felt like true cinematography every step of the way. I could picture it all. The descriptions and details are outstanding!

Flat characters. Too short for much exposition of development. Some typos. Interesting concept.
