Conobbi Ponchione a Terni durante la presentazione del primo Gli uomini della settimana 1 ed onestamente ricordo che parlammo a lungo di Kirby e della sua opera. Non sapevo fosse così preso anche da Ditko e Wood. Dei tre, certamente Wood è il più sottovalutato.
In questo albetto, con la scusa di fornire spunti ad un giovane disegnatore, passa in rapida rassegna l'opera dei tre disegnatori. Nel senso che cerca di ricatturare quello che fu l'essenza del loro lavoro.
Ci riesce?
A mio avviso in gran parte sì. Ma è breve, troppo breve.

Inspiration--not imitation is the sincerest form of flatter. This is a cute frame story--not high on details about those auteurs but cute for a one-shot.
