Enervation

Rate this book
Missing research teams. A facility lost to time. Secrets buried in the wilderness.

Seeking escape from a life unraveling, botanist Priya Khatri joins the third expedition to Site 03, an abandoned research facility near Whistler, British Columbia. The first team vanished without explanation. The second never returned. Now, Priya and her fellow scientists are left to pick up the pieces.

But as they dig deeper—through cryptic notes, a discarded journal, and anomalies in the very biology around them—Priya begins to feel something shifting. It's as if certain memories are being . . . updated. Altered by a new presence that wasn't there before, but always has been.

There is something about the Site, about the land itself, that resists the expedition.

A chilling descent into isolation, trauma, memory, and the unknown, Enervation is perfect for fans of Annihilation, Roadside Picnic, and House of Leaves.

Enervation throws you into the eerie mystery of Site 03, where Priya, an eager botanist, joins a research team for EverRain investigating strange disappearances and unexplained phenomena. As Priya discovers unexplainable biological anomalies, her own memories feel twisted, leaving her to question reality itself. Is it hallucination or something far more sinister? Life for the team transforms right between their very eyes and a team member's journal lead to even more questions about what is really going on with EverRain. The story starts slow and transforms into a suspenseful read filled with strange occurrences, an unbelievable twist with a shocking ending. Enervation is an unsettling, thrilling read that messes with your perception and may force you to rethink reality.

Oh wow uh 😳

What a book! I swear this could be a movie. It was crazy, creepy and…(something using the letter C that means great). I do have the mention though, if I was there, anything slightly goes wrong NDA or not, I’M LEAVING! Dead bodies?! Nope, I’m good I’m out here! How could these scientists be this dumb to something that probably isn’t going to end well? Have they not seen the movie Alien?!
Anyway, great book!

Loved this novella. The storytelling was amazing. I felt connected to the characters. The descriptions of Site 03 were great. I felt the surroundings~ the plant life was a character itself. A faced paced exciting story.

A unsettling novella, with disturbingly tangible imagery. Funny moments throughout even as the horrors multiply. Couldn't put it down.
