5- Sugar Sweet Stars

I had the honor to read Mark D. Davis' Outback Housecall. Oh my...*sigh* This was the first short story of Mark's I had read but it wasn't the first of his work that I got to enjoy. He is also a very talented erotica poet. If you are a fan of erotic poetry I strongly recommend following him on all media outlets, tote extra panties ladies. ;)

Outback Housecall a short story so erotic and well written you can't read it fast enough. Only to find "The End" to soon leaving the reader frustrated. :)

I really haven't been a fan of short stories. When I read them I felt unsatisfied and missed the plot, well..because normally there wasn't one. Short stories i had read in the past were only scenes being played out not allowing a connection to the characters. Outback Housecall changed that for me. There absolutely was a plot but not "just" a plot a very well written erotic plot. A plot with details, emotions, structure, suspense and passion.

Mike Burns a physician who works for Royal Flying Doctors Service. This is a doctor service that flies to cattle ranches in the Australian Outback to attend to the sick and/or injured. Mike's current call is to visit his late friend's wife Jan at their ranch. She has a stockman who is in need of medical treatment. Mike hasn't visited the station since his friend passed not knowing what to say or how to act. Unable to pass up the call for medical assistance Mike heads to Beewa Station to find Jan. When he arrives he finds her better than he expected and his body responds in a way he never would had imagined. While visiting Mike feels he is missing something that everyone else knows that soon will be revealed.

Do I recommend? Absolutely! Outback Housecall is a must read for erotica fans. Mark's work I read is always hot, sexy and sensual. Although we don't get a conclusion we get a plot and substance worth reading.

Enjoy ;)

Short and sweet? No!

Short and hot. Though thought most guys would feel weird wearing a dead man's suit for the widow...otherwise a hot treat

"Outback, Housecall" takes us on a visit out at a station in the Outback for the local doctor to check on a patient and visit an old friend that lost her husband a few years back. Their attraction for one another is obvious and things progress as they should. Then comes the surprise twist you didn't see coming. This is a naughty indulgence for sure, but way too short to be fully satisfying.

I really like Mark Davis poetry so I was excited to read this novella. I liked the storyline very much, but the writing style didn't quite work for me. I felt no connection to the characters at all which was disappointing due to the fact the storyline and action were steamy. The story flowed beautifully and I wish I could be more specific as to what didn't work for me, but I'm unable to pinpoint what it is at this moment.

If you like a short steamy read and have a kinky side, "Outback, Housecall" might just be a perfect read for you! Here's the link for the book on Amazon:

I was given a copy of Outback Housecall in return for an honest review, on behalf of Triple B's Book Blog.
I had never read anything by Mark D Davis before picking up this short story so had no idea what he is capable of.... Man, what a treat!
If you are after a quick, hot, kinky read that a) you won't want to and more importantly b) don't have to put down from start to finish, then this is perfect for you.
Set in the Austrailian outback, Mike Barnes is a doctor with the Royal Flying Doctor's service. He goes on a call to his old friend, Jan's property, whose husband had died the previous year.
Having to stay over due to a storm coming in, they find themselves 'reconnecting'. As it turns out there is a whole lot more to Jan than meets the eye!
I've read many books but a BDSM where the man is the sub/pet was a first for me.
My only disappointment with this book is I wanted more...which I guess from the authors pov is never a bad thing!
I'd definitely read more of Mark's book....and am 100% going to check out his poetry asap.

Too short, far too short but a very enjoyable read, I counsel it lots!
I loved the outback descriptions and the two main characters. I wanted more time with them, a sequel and a prequel would be nice! oh something in the middle of the story to add good measure!
Enjoy!

For adults and mature audience only!

A very short story. I think I would give a 4-5 star if it was a bit longer.
Great writing from Mark, it was great to read about our big desert here in Australia and add some spice to it ;)
Thanks Mark :D

I didn't want the book to end, it was a fun story that started off innocent. Then evolved into an erotic dream
