Jen’s book is such a gem for teachers - simple, yet incredibly informative and impactful. I love how it combines reflection and practical strategies, making it a resource I know I’ll keep coming back to, just like with her first book.
The first part helped me see why I still love my job (the chapters on intrinsic motivation and connection really stood out to me!), and the second part is full of practical, actionable strategies. There are so many ideas that it can feel overwhelming at times, so I’d recommend reading it in chunks - perhaps pairing each chapter in Part 1 with the related strategies in Part 2.
One small suggestion for future editions: it would be helpful if Part 2 included page numbers or clearer markers for the strategies, to make it easier to go back and find specific sections later on.
TGMC is the best teacher helper I’ve come across. I recommend it wholeheartedly to every teacher - I only wish I'd had something like this when I was starting out!

Such a great toolkit for teachers - lots of ideas and strategies that are simply to introduce!!!
