This is another buddy read and overall this book gets 3.07 ⭐️. Unfortunately there were many stories that were not great but there were some that I absolutely loved.

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thought this was a great start to this antho! I really enjoyed the danger that was added and the story wasn’t overly sweet which was perfect! This is my first story by this author and I would definitely read more. I did feel the shifters weren’t necessary to the story and got a bit confusing at times and I wish the heat had been longer but understand that’s hard to do in a short. Overall I would recommend!

His Pretty Omega by Raiven Matthews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
This is my first story by this author but definitely won’t be my last! I really enjoyed this story and how they met and that we got to go through the birthing experience. Doesn’t happen too often on-page! There were a few too many side characters mentioned as this is part of a series but didn’t take away from the story too much. Did get me interested in book 7 in the series though. Overall I would recommend!

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George

The Perfect Boy by RS McKenzie

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley

This story started off ok and I was interested in continuing it but it just kept getting worse as I went. This is a huge insta-love story. Like I’m talking “I love yous” and wanting to get pregnant within 24 hours of meeting. Yes they were fated mates but still come on! I didn’t feel their connection at all and it honestly felt like nothing really even happened. It absolutely could have been just me so if you’re a fan of insta-love it’s worth a try!

His Prize by MM Farmer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This short story was linked to the Omegas After Dark universe by this author. I’m a big fan of the first two books in that series so was quite excited for this story! It reminded me a lot of the universe and I loved that even though it was mostly sex the MCs learned so much about themselves and through each other that it worked! There were some kinks I personally am not a fan of but overall I recommend if you enjoy this author and/or this series.

Ranch Down by JP Sayle
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ll start off by saying the chemistry between the MCs was fantastic!!! If the whole book would have just been about them I would have loved it! Unfortunately there were so many side characters and chapters that really bogged down the story. If you’re a fan of this authors other work and know the characters I’m sure you’d love seeing them again and would recommend for you.

Wings of Frost & Flame by Skyler Drake

Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe
⭐️⭐️
This story started off interesting but there were many things that just didn’t work. And I didn’t feel the connection between the MCs at all. They are an established couple already so not sure if that’s why. Guessing they have their own book by the author. If you enjoy this author and wanted more on these MCs then I’d recommend.

Bad Professor by TL Reeve
DNF - .5⭐️
I never, ever rate my DNFs but in this case I really needed to. This story was absolutely horrible. The omega is treated like dirt and given no say in anything. His stepfather, stepbrother and their friend (the omegas professor) are kind of fighting over him but no one actually wants him. The Alpha professor has authority over the omega student and is allowed to help students through their heats. He goes to the student and hides helping him from the administration and doesn’t listen when the omega says no. It was just horrifying. Really do not recommend and am surprised this was even included in the antho.

Noble’s Omega by Giovanna Reaves
⭐️⭐️.5
So this one started off pretty fun and I was interested in continuing. I really liked the firefighter character. However, the chapters with the other MC felt really bogged down with details and it made me feel like I was missing part of the story but I don’t think there is a story so we were just getting details for no reason IMO. There was also a deceased mate and I felt the MC compared the relationships way too much which I really didn’t like. If you’re a fan of the author it’s worth a try!

Billy and Cord by Lisa Oliver
⭐️⭐️.5
So this was a tough one. There were some things I really enjoyed about this one and then some things I absolutely did not! There was a lot happening in this short. Too much for a short but honestly I wouldn’t have been interested in reading a longer story about these two. There was a ton of drama and some of it I was super in to but it felt like it was more drama than plot/romance sometimes. This short also reminded me why I don’t usually like historical romances. I hate how helpless women are portrayed and in this one that’s exactly how omegas were. Can’t do anything on their own, need the parents (or Alpha’s) permission to date, get a job, to basically be considered a person and I just had a hard time with that. This is definitely a personal preference thing so if it’s not something you don’t enjoy then I would still recommend this story.

Night Train by Roe Horvat
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Well that was interesting. This is the first time I’ve read anything with lactation kink. I definitely won’t go searching it out but I honestly still loved the story. I was interested in it the whole way through. I loved their connection and that they both had feelings for the other before the story started. Made it feel more believable for sure. If you’re a fan of lactation kink I highly recommend this one!

Castaway Heat by Kelex
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my first story by this author and definitely won’t be my last! This is definitely my fav story in this antho so far. I loved everything about it and how the author made it feel like a full-length story instead of just a short. I didn’t feel like anything was missing. I absolutely recommend this one and can’t wait to read more by this author!

Knot Mine to Love by Jacey Davis
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ahhhhhh! I loved this short soooooo much! The only thing I wish is that it was longer. I would have loved a full-length story on these two. Love fated mates and this one was done so well. It had action and an awesome heat, and actually shifted wolf time which hasn’t happened often in this antho. Absolutely recommend! Makes me want to read more omegaverse shifters by this author!

Mate Match: Curtis & Jae by Jax Stuart

He Slept With the Most Famous Internet Celebrity (You’ll Never Guess What Happens Next!) by Piper Scott and Renee Fox

Wow. This was not good. First it starts right at a hookup so I don’t have any feel for the characters. Which fine I can get past that. But then while they are having sex the omega MC wants to not use a condom. The alpha MC prefers to and says so and thinks he wants the condom to be safe (it’s his POV). He puts one on and the omega pushes him out and takes the condom off and tells him “It’s off, now breed me”. I just couldn’t believe that. It’s one thing to go without a condom, forget the talk etc. another thing all together to have one MC pressure the other one into not wearing one.

Update: 5/13/2025 - Finished 13 of 17 - Marking Completed

Overall: I got a bug up my ass to jump back into OV recently and since most of what I read before was back in the fanfiction.net days (omg) I reached out to a few groups on some recommendations. Since I wasn't familiar with any authors this collection was recommended as like a sampling of authors. It was sold to me as MM OV MPREG which I was down for. I was surprised by the shifter part, I know its rather common in the OV space but for a long time I was reading OV without the shifter part and while I'm okay with shifters its my less favorite.

I got to the last three stories before I gave up, about 200 pages left. I feel a bit like a quitter (ha!) but I couldn't get into the last ones. I added notes about each of the stories. Overall it was enjoyable and while I have authors I might check out later it was a solid middle of the road experience. I defiantly have worked out this fucking trope though, probably won't want to read Shifter MPREG for a fucking while.

Per short, in order:

1. A Real Alpha: 3⭐ : Cute, adorable. I felt like this was a great opening story, little heavy in terms of the context but still feel good and well written. The main pair felt like they were well fleshed out and while there were side characters, they didn't overshadow the rest.

2. His Pretty Omega: 3⭐ : This one felt like more of a story and more depth. I liked the premise and did enjoy how the story unfolded past that. It felt 'realistic', I mean the OV stuff and shifter stuff not much but the one night stand that led to more and more back and forth and figuring stuff out.

3. Tor and the Turtle: 2⭐ : I didn't care as much about this one. Maybe it was the shifter babies? I'm not sure. It felt like I was having a full sugar soda after years of diet. Maybe I wasn't ready for how sweet the fluffy the story was.

4. The Perfect Boy: 1⭐ : Honestly, this was the worst one and I got to like the second to last chapter of this and DNF'd. I don't know if its because the Little kink weirds me out but even still. I wasn't a fan of the boss/daddy character and felt he didn't deserve his little.

5. The Barghest Bond: 3⭐ : I really liked how this started like maybe the first two chapters but it fell off quickly. People complain about instal-love.. and while I understand these are novella and about getting the Omega pregnant, this one was so over the top. It was still enjoyable but the characters felt a bit flat and the story felt rushed.

6. His Prize: 4⭐ : HOT DAMN. HOT FUCKING DAMN. This was 5/5 spice. There was story in there and man, do I love these stories. BDSM clubs and their owners are my idea of a good time for a book and this was *chef's kiss*.

7. Ranch Down: 3⭐: There were so many side characters in this, so so many people just popping in to just pop in. This is clearly a side story for a larger novel set. I didn't learn anyone's names. The story with Trey and Cassidy was adorable and if you ignore the side characters, it's a good time. I'm putting this series on my TBR, I think I might like to read it eventually.

8. Wings of Frost and Flame: 2⭐: star rating because of lack of editing/proofing, would have been a 4: Right. This was a slog to read but I wanted to read it which is unusual when something is a slog for me. The author is verbose, in the way that high fantasy novelists are. Only here, there are a lot of wrong words, incorrect spellings, names being messed up, lines indicating one character is talking when it's actually another. The author would also sometimes jump ahead in time mid paragraph but wouldn't really call it out, but then a character would imagine a situation and it would be difficult to tell if it happened or not for like several paragraphs. And it kept happening. At the end of this story the author seemed to indicate they were making a more fleshed out version of this story, which, I hope they get an editor for. There is a ton of world building at the beginning, after that I was interested.

9. Rescuing His Mate: 2⭐ : More dragon shifters, but these seem more true 'shifters' and less dragonborn. After the last short story was so fucking dense and verbose, this one seems to go the other direction with so little description I feel like I've gotten whiplash. Conflicts were resolved too easily, there was no depth. It felt a bit like a rough draft/first draft. The blurb made this feel like there was goign to be a lot of tension and hovering once the kidnapping was resolved and how the pregnant mate would hate it. That never happened

10. Bad Professor: 2⭐ : The Stepfathers POV is weird (I probably should have dnf'd). I'm not a big fan of the whole Stepfather trope (turns out I can enjoy the stepbrother though.. ha!). I know they aren't blood but it's a power thing I think. The fact that the professor I kind of hated this whole OV universe. I felt rather betrayed by the Blurb for this story. I was expecting a taboo of a professor falling for and pining for his student, I got a weird and creepy story where another alpha used power to get what he wanted from an omega. I ended up getting VERY MAD at this novella and just yelling at my kindle

11. Noble's Omega: 3⭐ : I ended up liking this more than I expected. It didn't have the OMFG inst-love. Yes, mates but they took it slow. It would have been nice for a slightly longer story with more dates + more BS with Port. I was expecting a lot worse than what happened. Not bad for a short novella. Better than some of the others, there was depth and more going on even even thought it was short. I might check out this author.

12. Billy and Cord: 2⭐ : This was in interesting world and the premise was cute but rather.. sweet? Like almost too sweet for what the blurb promised. First, It would have been great if we got to see more of what happened on Billy's side while Cord was away. But second, we get this like "the world is very bad. Omega get drugged, Bill had a super shit life and had to find his way in world where Omega's are pampered into their 20's" view of this world and then its like the dark stuff is just there superficially. I GET this is a novella and only so much can be done, especially since this collection is all about getting the Omega pregnant, but it feels so glossed over and really just overall anti-climactic. I would loved to have more insight into How Billy felt.

13. Night Train: 3⭐ : Hot. I don't have a lacation kink but damn, I could appreciate this still. (that said in another book I read there was it and it felt very gross, so still not my thing but hot damn). I loved the train, I loved the start and the end. It was hot and sweet and probably This and Hi Prize are my favorite in the collection so far.

14. Castaway Heat: 3⭐ : A NONSHIFTER! Shifters are nice and all but its generally not my cup of tea and finding non-shifter OV seems to be a challenge for me. This was cute and very fluffy. Overall I liked this, but their friend Sage was an absolute fucker and maybe he helped out with one of the MC's in the end but overall this person was a dick and really just made me kind of hate this.

15. Knot Mine to Love: DNF: I start it but it felt. corny. Mafia romances are VERY miss for me and all I could picture was like a 1950's like street gang like Happy Days or Pony Boy. (I know those are different things). I couldn't get the image out of my head of wolfs with pompadours and really.. I knew I was over this book.

16. Mate March: Curtis and Jae: DNR : I read the blurb and it seemed so generic and I'm so over this micro trope. It looks like it had potential, just not for me

17. He Slept with the Most Famous Internet Celebrity...: DNR : It's similar to the one before it, except instead of dating it's Grindr (um, ok. it weirds me out when I see the real names for things in books that are fiction). Which.. I got like 4 pages in and just felt rather no about the title and the concept. I just think I'm over this whole trope at this point.

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway - 4 stars
A great start to the anthology. I really enjoyed the story and characters. Some darker content, but nothing too difficult. There were a few editing and continuity issues, but nothing I couldn't get past. I was a little confused about the role of shifters in this world. It didn't seem necessary to the story at all, though it's part of a larger series, so I imagine it's further explained there. I will absolutely be
checking out the series.

His Pretty Omega by Raiven Matthews - 4 stars
For those of you who love a long, detailed birth scene, this is the story for you. This was another story where the shifters were there but not integral to the story (and again, because it's part of a larger series). While we hear the inner voices of their beasts, we don't see them even once. A few minor editing issues, but nothing glaring.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George - 3 stars
This was an interesting approach, going to past scenes to show the established couple meeting for the first time. I definitely had to suspend reality for this one (even more than usual than your standard shifter mpreg). Multiple birth of live animals without medical intervention. Hilarious that THAT is what I found difficult to believe. HAHA.

The Perfect Boy by RS McKenzie - 2.5 stars
Daddy/Boy, though it was mild with the kink, more Middle than Little. The rating would've been higher if not for the epilogue. I feel like I'm a teacher penalizing a student for misunderstanding the assignment. First, it happened the very next day, so not at all an epilogue, just a chapter, but also, there was no knotting! There was discussion of possible knotting once the omega would go into heat, so why wasn't that the epilogue?

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley - 3.5 stars
This one started off with a really interesting concept. The writing style flows easily, and it's been well edited. It does move lightning fast, though, and it's not my jam, personally. And no knotting! Though I would for sure try another book by this author just to see if there's something closer to what I'm looking for in a story.

His Prize by MM Farmer - 4 stars
This one comes with content warnings. There's a lot more sex than the other stories, and it's BDSM. There is a purpose to the sex, and it comes with a heavy dose of introspection. I really liked the hints to the world behind the story and will for sure be checking out the series.

Ranch Down by JP Sayle - 3 stars
This one started off strong. The author definitely knows how to write searing chemistry between her characters. There were, however, a few things that got under my skin. For one, there are a ton of secondary characters, and my brain eventually gave up trying to keep them all straight. And also, unless this ranch full of shifter cowboys is somehow found in Europe, there was a lot of UK language to throw the reader off. Needed a thorough edit.

Wings of Frost & Flame by Skyler Drake - DNF
This was just a bit too high fantasy for me right now. Brain fog kept me from being able to follow the characters and timeline. I might try coming back to this one later.

Rescusing His Mate by Miverva Howe - DNF
Just wasn't feeling the chemistry, and it was in serious need of an edit, with several plot inconsistensies.

Bad Professor by TL Reeve - DNF
Third DNF in a row. This one has so many errors, it's almost like a rough draft. Punctuation, misspelling, sentence structure. I couldn't get through two chapters. And when a friend told me the story involves non-con (without a content warning), I decided I would take a pass.

Noble's Omega by Giovanna Reaves - I abstain from rating since I was the editor. ;)

Billy and Cord by Lisa Oliver - 3 stars
I'm ashamed to say this is my first by Lisa Oliver, considering I've been in this community for years. Glad to finally rectify that.
It started off really well. Certainly some deep world building explained fairly well, and it stood apart from the other stories. However... I personally am not a fan of when the omegas are portrayed as weak and helpless, needing their alphas for everything. This whole world revolves around the concept that while omegas are highly prized, they also have zero autonomy. Their parents or older alpha siblings control every aspect of their lives. Grown men needing their parents' permission to even have a job. So, there are some interesting plot points, relaxed writing, though not really for me.

Night Train by Roe Horvat - 4 stars
Delicious smutty smut. It does contain lactation kink, so be warned if that's not your thing. There wasn't a whole lot of plot to hold it all together, but I found I didn't mind at all.

Castaway Heat by Kelex - 4.5 stars
This one was a lot more intense than the other stories, since there is actual danger and death. I liked the writing style and overall plot--probably my fav of the anthology so far. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how many words were italicized for emphasis (I'm nitpicking, but yeah, it was excessive).

Knot Mine to Love by Jacey Davis - 4.5 stars
I really wanted to give this one five stars. Great characters, loved the details to the worldbuilding... but it really needed an edit. It really kills me when a phenomenal story is marred by typos. Otherwise, you can be sure I'll be checking out more by this author.

Mate Match: Curtis & Jae by Jax Stuart - DNF
This one wasn’t for me.

He Slept With the Most Famous Internet Celebrity by Piper Scott and Renee Fox - DNF
Once the omega demanded they ditch the condom and not taking no for an answer, I’m afraid that’s not something I consider redeemable.

His Pretty Omega by Raiven Matthews
I am thrilled to have picked up this anthology if for no other reason than to read Seth's story. He was mentioned in Raiven's Sweet Alps Mates Series and I was bummed that he wasn't getting his own book. To my absolute delight Raiven gave him a little novella that picks up right where his journey left off. It was cute, sweet, sexy, and gave me the closure I needed on him as a character.

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley
A quick little insta-love read from Hawke Oakley. I can't complain, we have wholesome characters, fated mates, and a happily-ever-after. I adored the dash of paranormal to this story and how Hawke tied it into the human world and left me with a smile on my face.

Castaway Heat by Kelex
I am not sure how Kelex managed to fit a whole romance and shipwreck incident into a novella but she did so and did it well. The pacing for this story was fantastic, fated mates who get together, the perfect amount of drama, and the whole stranded on an island thing was just enough that I was enticed but not enough to be bored and dragged out.

Seth was a character I couldn't wait to get to know after seeing how protective he could be of his bestie Bennett in His Gentle Omega. He had a joy for life and found satisfaction in his career. And though he never touted his desire to be a mated omega with kids, I knew his protective instincts would make him an amazing parent and mate. Turns out, I was right!

You may remember Alejandro as the lawyer who worked with Shay on his case. I already thought Alejandro was a good man based on his work with abused omegas, soI was so pleased to see him paired with the sassy Seth. Seth is an omega who is going to keep an alpha on his toes and Alejandro is an alpha who loves every second of it.

My only complaint about this story is that it was a novella! I wanted more of Seth being a brat and Alejandro swooning over his man. I just wanted more of these two! Thankfully, I know there are more books planned in the same universe, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed to see some cameos of past couples once their kids start meeting their mates!

okay

I just wish these Anthologies were better. It’s like most authors now barely make an effort. It felt blah. The story of like the most and was 10/10 for me was Roe Horvat’s Night Train -that I did love-

~~I haven't been able to read all the stories in this anthology just yet. This is my review of the stories I had access to.~~

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway

Connor, Oscar, and Roscoe are absolutely precious together. Connor has escaped from his abusive ex, and as he's fleeing he stumbles into Oscar's shop. As soon as Oscar lays his eyes on the man and his baby, he knows he has to help them. He just never thought that they would be fated to be his.

The pacing of this story was fantastic! I liked how things progressed between Oscar and Connor, and I adored how supportive and welcoming Oscar was of Connor. He took his cues from the other man, and I thought that was really sweet of him.

Ranch Down by JP Sayle
Oh my goodness Trey and Cassidy's story can set your device on fire. There is a lot of steam in this story, I would've preferred there to be a little less... However! It wasn't all steam, we got to see Trey running his bar with his best friend Kendrick, along with seeing Cassidy taking care of his little family on the ranch he works on. His little family consisting of chicks and a little pig, and now two pups. This story was quite cute and I am very excited for the series that this short story is apart of to come out!

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley
Bennett and Peter's story has been my favorite so far! Peter is down on his luck wondering why he can't seem to keep a stable relationship, in order to get answers he goes to get a tarot reading done, but once he's there he spots something nobody else sees...

Bennett is a Barghest which means he can shift into his larger canine form or be a human, he also has premonitions too. When he realizes Peter can see him in his canine form when no one is supposed to be able to see him, he knows Peter is special. Together they figure out just how special they are to each other. This is such an adorable story! I wanted more of Peter and Bennett, I've never read about a Barghest before and I found the whole concept to be exceptionally unique. I also love fated mates and it was done really well here! P.S. Where can I find a puppy cafe? Cause I want to go to one!

Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe

Des and Alistair's story was difficult for me to get into, the pacing of the story was a bit off for me. This starts with these two men being at odds with each other, then Alistair gets kidnapped, but is immediately rescued.. and then the story just flat lines for me, unfortunately. I think the pacing would've felt better if things weren't resolved as quickly and there was more time to develop those scenes more. However, I did like Reed's character and once we got to see more of Des and Alistair together I found them to be a good pair.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George
I am so happy Aitor and Ikal got their own story. When they were mentioned in Vinni's Land and Sea series I wanted to know more about them, and in this story I got just that! Aitor and Ikal has had a difficult time trying to conceive, no matter what they do nothing works.. Deciding that they need a break from their regimented routine they go on vacation to reconnect with each other without the pressure of cycles and what time works best to conceive... And that vacation changes everything.

Aitor and Ikal's family is so adorable! I don't want to put any spoilers but I loved how their family grew, they had such a lovely happily ever after!!

Noble's Omega by Giovanna Reaves
I found Noble and Jersey's story to be so unique and very well written! The characters themselves were full of life, each one had their own characteristics that set them apart from the others, and their dialogue throughout the story was fantastic! I have not read very many books featuring dinosaur shifters, and I had not ever read one about a mosasaurs shifter before, until this story.

I loved the creativity this author had when it came to creating this world the characters live in, along with creating the characters themselves. I appreciated that Noble and Jersey didn't rush into things, they took their time to get to know one another gradually overtime, which I really enjoyed. JaMari is such an adorable little girl, and she's a matchmaker too! Her, Jersey, and Noble make up such a beautiful family, and their new addition with just add to their family unit. Overall a wonderful story!

The Knotting Hearts Anthology is a wonderful collection of stories written by multiple authors that are all set in the Omegaverse them and feature paranormals. The stories were well written and easy to read. Reading the book is like eating potato chips, you will not be able to stop with just one story. As this book is an impressive size, advanced review copies were given out with each ARC containing a half dozen stories. Below is a quick review of the six stories that I received.

1. A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway - This is the story of Connor and Oscar. Conner is on the run from an abusive alpha with his baby in the middle of winter. Oscar is an alpha who owns the cafe they seek shelter in. When Oscar sees Connor trying to keep his baby warm in the back alley, he steps in to help. This is a sweet story. It is nice to see Connor get the happiness he deserves.

2. Ranch Down by JP Sayle - This is the story of Trey and Cassidy. Trey is an alpha who has walls up to ensure he doesn't get into a relationship. Cassidy is an omega who wishes that Trey would let down his guard. The two are in an no-strings agreement. Both want more but both are afraid to try. This is their story. I really loved this story. It is well written and easy to read. I wasn't familiar with the Darling Ranch series and this was a great introduction into it. Just the fact that Cassidy knits sweaters for his hens should make you want to read this story.

3. The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley - This is a new to me author. I enjoyed the read. This is the story of Peter, a single omega who loves the supernatural and Bennett, an alpha barghest. It takes a bit before Bennett realizes that Peter is his mate. But Peter and Bennett make the sweetest couple. And Bennett has an unusual talent for you to discover. I enjoyed reading this story.

4. Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe - What is a paranormal book without dragons? This story is filled with dragons. This is the story of Alistair and Des. As an alpha, Alistair is worried about the health and safety of his mate; omega Des and their unborn child. In order to protect them, Alistair comes up with the ridiculous idea that if he ignored them and pretended that they didn't matter; that they would be safe from attack. As a rival dragon clan kidnaps his mate, it seems he has miscalculated. This is their story. It too was well written and easy to read. I enjoyed this story from an author I am not very familiar with.

5. Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George - I anticipated this story the most as I am familiar with the Land and Sea Universe and I was not disappointed. This is the story of Aitor Balam, an alpha jaguar shifter and Ikal Marin, an omega sea turtle shifter. Aitor is a doctor who specializes in Aquatic Shifter Medicine. They are a happily mated couple who have been extensively trying to conceive. Ikal has tried treatments and scheduling sex in an attempt to conceive. Both Aitor and Ikal know that sea turtles have challenges conceiving as they don't have a traditional heat cycle. When
The latest attempts fail, Aitor arranges for the two of them to get away and just be. No pressures, no stress and no scheduled sex. Just a chance for them to reconnect without it being strictly baby related. This is their story. The story is well written and easy to read. I enjoyed their journey.

6. Noble's Omega by Giovanna Reaves - This story is a nice trip back to Valleywood, a city filled with magic. This is the story of Noble and Jersey. Noble is an alpha and widowed dad to JaMari. Jersey is an omega fire fighter who has moved back to Valleywood. He is hoping the power of Valleywood's magic would help him mend his broken heart and recover from his injuries. He is also hoping that it will reactivate his ability to see magic and heal. This is their story. The story is written well and is easy to read. This is another new to me author that I enjoyed.

Overall I really enjoy what I have read of this book. The stories were well written and easy to read. Make sure that you have lots of time once you start to read, as you won't want to put this book down!

I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from an author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

A fun and sweet collection of MM omegaverse stories. I enjoyed them all, which isn’t always the case with a short story collection, and there were some I genuinely loved and will remember.
Here are a couple thoughts on each story (no spoilers).

A Real Alpha (Sienna Sway) - A strong start for the collection (not that I’d expect otherwise from this author!). When Connor escapes physical and emotional abuse, he only wants to find safety for himself and his baby. It was so heartwarming watching Oscar help restore his faith in humanity and himself.

His Pretty Omega (Raiven Matthews) - Gotta watch out for those one night stands where you don’t leave your info! A very fun read with a sassy omega and an alpha determined to show him how much he’s wanted. Great story, yet another example why you shouldn’t wait until the perfect opportunity to say what you need to say.

Tor and the Turtle (Vinny George) - Splits between present day and when they first met, which lets us see both the joy of meeting each other and the steadier sweetness of a developed relationship.

The Perfect Boy (RS McKenzie) - Boss and assistant with mutual pining but trying to be professional, neither realizing what they really want is each other. Daddy/boy dynamic.

The Barghest Bond (Hawke Oakley) - A sweet and spicy fated mates story. I always love Hawke Oakley’s stuff, and this was no exception. (Also a good reminder to at least learn the basics before a tarot card reading, lol.)

His Prize (MM Farmer) - Hurt my heart to see how Darby blamed himself for something that should never have been all his responsibility. A great example of a BDSM relationship where the Dom pays attention to what’s actually needed.

Ranch Down (JP Sayle) - I’m new to this author but this modern western story made me want to try more. Great emotion and spice, and I loved how soft Cassidy was with his knitted-sweater-wearing chickies.

Wings of Frost and Flame (Skyler Drake) - I think an excerpt from a larger novel but it holds together fairly well. Definite enemies to lovers, good spice.

Rescuing His Mate (Minerva Howe) - This is a trope that drives me crazy, even when it’s justified why they couldn’t just communicate. Still, a satisfying conclusion. I loved Alistair’s resilience despite everything.

Bad Professor (TL Reeve) - Escaping abuse is hard, even neglectful abuse, and my heart hurt to see it. I liked the world building in this one.

Noble’s Omega (Giovanna Reaves) - Broken hearts finding each other is one of my favorites to see play out when done well, and I felt this one was. Gotta admit I’m new to dinosaur shifters but it was fun!

Billy and Cord: An Omega Hearts Story (Lisa Oliver) - Lots of hurt/comfort in this one, breaking your heart and fixing it again. I like the idea of a gov’t agency out to rescue omegas in trouble.

Night Train (Roe Horvat) - I think this one’s also an excerpt/condensed version from a full novel but it’s done well and works great as is. Workplace pining plus lactation kink (not one of my usual go-tos but whew! Lots of hot peppers) all on a cross-country train.

Castaway Heat (Kelex) - Cozy castaway vibe (omegaverse Swiss family Robinson?) with an approaching biological deadline. For some reason this one is really sticking in my head.

Knot Mine to Love (Jacey Davis) - Mafia romance + older brother’s best friend. It was nice to see an omega who could defend himself.

Mate Match: Curtis and Jae (Jax Stuart) - All sweetness but it felt earned in a relationship that goes from zero to a hundred and the adjustments that requires.

He Slept With the Most Famous Internet Celebrity (You’ll Never Guess What Happens Next!) (Piper Scott and Renee Fox) - Sweet and surprisingly funny, excellent spice and character growth. This may be my favorite of the bunch and was an excellent note to end on.

If you read through all this, well done! I’d highly recommend giving it a readthrough for its own sake but I might even be purchasing a copy since the proceeds go to a great cause.

Knotting Hearts Anthology

5 stars

Fantastic!

I loved this anthology! A wonderful collection of six stories of finding love with the one they were meant to be with.

A Real Alpha - Sienna Sway - The first story I’ve read by Sienna and I loved it! The story of Connor and Oscar begins with Connor escaping an abusive relationship and finding a safe haven in Oscar’s cafe. The pull Oscar feels towards Connor has him stepping up to help Connor and his baby stay out of the cold. It will take Connor some time to trust again but Oscar is everything Harry wasn’t and it seems fate agrees that Oscar and Connor are meant to be together.

Ranch Down - JP Sayle - Another new author for me and another wonderful story! Cassidy and Trey have a no strings attached arrangement going on but Cassidy wants more. Turns out, so does Trey only he doesn’t know it quite yet. The two finally find their way to their forever and find a way to work around Trey’s late nights at the bar he owns, where he and Cassidy met, and the ranch where Cassidy works with his gaggle of chicks and a pig.

The Barghest Bond - Hawke Oakley - What an amazing story! Peter thinks he’s going crazy when a visit to a tarot reader has him spotting a huge black dog that no one else can see. Bennett is a mythical creature and is drawn to Peter immediately. An invitation to a coffee date will lead to so much more for the two as Peter will eventually learn that not only is Bennett a barghest but also Peter’s fated mate! It is Peter’s greatest wish to find his forever Alpha and it is sweet sailing to their happily ever after for this wonderful pair.

Rescuing His Mate - Minerva Howe - One of my favorite authors, Minerva once again delivers an amazing story with this tale of Alistair and Des. Alistair is happy with his life until his mate, Des, starts staying away from him. What he doesn’t know is Des is trying to keep him and their baby safe from a rival dragon clan. It won’t matter when Alistair gets kidnapped and Des rushes in to save the day. Seeing the error of his ways, Des makes sure to stay close to Alistair, even having to fight off rival dragons, keeping him safe and feeling loved. There is a bit of an issue at Alistair’s baby shower but Alistair will prove that Alphas aren’t the only ones who can kick some rival butt and soon the trouble is gone, paving the way for the birth of their babies and a happily ever after!

Tor and the Turtle - Vinni George - One contrary espresso machine will bring Aitor and Ikal together in this wonderful tale! When Aitor’s machine fails him, he finds himself in Ikal’s little coffee shop. Coffee isn’t the only thing he finds - as it turns out, Ikal is his mate! They have a wonderful journey together that is only marred by their struggle to start their family. But a week away turns out to be just what the doctor ordered and it will bring them not one but five beautiful babies that will be more than a handful but everything they have always wanted.

Noble’s Omega - Giovanna Reaves - The tale of Noble and Jersey. Both have been hurt in the past, Noble by the loss of his mate and Jersey by the betrayal of the man he thought was his husband. The two will meet when Jersey gets caught in some seaweed during a late night swim. The two will take their time getting to know each other and Jersey will get to know Noble’s daughter JaMari. There will be a small bump in the road when the son of the previous alpha returns to town but Noble and Jersey will get through the danger and get the chance to move on to their happily ever after.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway

Connor and Oscar were cute together as they got to know and trust each other, taking into account that Connor had run away from his abusive ex alpha.
The care and reassurance slowly heals Connor, and that makes him open his heart to Oscar. He’s impressed by Oscar gentleness that he shows towards him and the baby.
After the final obstacle is eliminated, they enjoy their hard earned happiness

Ranch Down by JP Sayle

Trey and Cassidy we’re sweet and funny, with a couple of perks and a casual beginning that deepen along the way.
It was interesting seeing old characters and their role in Trey and Cassidy relationship, as well as the help they got along the way.
I adored the animals and their quirks, how Cassidy doted on them, as well as the way the others reacted and interacted with them.
The birthing scene was special and a bit funny, but also emotional.
It was amazing and I can’t wait for more of this world.

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley

Peter and Bennett story was sweet, endearing and funny with a touch of supernatural.
It was amazing returning to a cherished world and seeing a new couple find their happiness.
They are unique together and I liked that Peter could see Bennett shifted form, as well as the easy way he accepted the truth about his true nature.
I adored their moments together, the quirky friend, and the bundle of joy and joined them.
It was sweet with a sprinkle of danger, funny and enjoyable.
I liked the story and I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe

Alistair and Des story was interesting with a bit of conflict, a bit of danger, support for a good cause, teasing and loving moments, as well as a well thought justice.
They were endearing together, but they had a couple of hurdles thanks to miscommunication, that they resolved after an eventful occurrence.
I enjoyed the story and hope to see more of this world.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George

Aitor and Ikal story was sweet and endearing with a touch of intense and emotional.
I liked their first meeting and courtship, as well as their sweet loving moments together.
The scenes that led to the pregnancy and the birthing scene were emotional and intense.
I loved their support and devotion, as well as the unconditional love they had for each other.
I liked the story and I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Noble’s Omega by Giovanna Reaves

Jersey and Noble story brings us back to the wonderful world of Valleywood with a new unique pairing and a new couple that finds its happiness after past suffering.
It gas humour and teasing, but also emotional moments and quite a bit of danger.
They both get a second chance at happiness after the past lost and betrayal.
One adorable sneaky and meddling girl is determined to get a little sibling, and the fates work in her favour as an unexpected encounter 5akes place.
I loved their chemistry and courtship, but also the fact they take the time to know each other and to build trust as well as deepen their feelings.
I really loved the story and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

I enjoyed this anthology of books. With a running theme of mpreg and part of the omegaverse it was mostly an enjoyable read.

So why did I only give it three stars? well first, majority of the books though short were nothing but smut. I found that so many of these books from the second chapter, are copious amounts of “ yes, alpha, my alpha, breed me…”there was no story whatsoever, just Insta love and for the most part, it was reading porn.

I’m not saying I hated all the instalove books, but out of the 17 books in this anthology, I liked 7: “Bad professor” by TL Reeves, “Noble’s omega” by Giovanna Reaves, “Billy and Cord” by Lisa Oliver, “castaway heat” by Kelex, “knot Mine to love” by Jacey Davis and, “Mate Match” by Jax Stuart.

Seven books I enjoyed was because they actually had a story that wasn’t only copious amounts of Sex every chapter even though there were in some books copious amounts, I felt out of all of the books, those were the seven books where it felt like the author actually thought about the book rather than just a book or one scene that was divided among chapters.

To tell you the truth, the synopsis of some books didn’t even interest me so a few books went completely unread or I’ve read books by the authors and wasn’t a fan so even for a short book I skipped it. Then we came to the last book and of all the stories, even though some I wasn’t fond of I really did not like the last book “ he slept with the most famous Internet celebrity. (you’ll never guess what happens nest!)“… even the name irritated me.

The last story brought the rating down to three along with the fact that so many of the books had nothing to them. However, the last story with a double author of Piper Scott and Renee Fox was very poorly written. It was the worst book to end with. It also consisted one of my biggest pet peeves in romance novels, lies, secrets, and a blatant lack of communication for chapters upon chapters, that seems to get glossed over all to tie everything into a cute little bow.
Miles’s character was all over the place first he was super shy and inexperienced and innocent. Then he became super anxious and an Overthinker and by the end I had no idea what the hell it was. I found myself, even though this book was short, scrolling through all the chapters that began with Miles‘s POV. I stopped only to read any communication between the parties via text or online, but I found myself only really reading the chapters from Jun’s point of view.
I love anthologies because the stories are short and to the point, but even this one annoyed me enough that most of this review is about this one book. I also like anthologies because when you read a particularly good short story and you’ve never read anything by that author, you then start to search for more books written by that author this last story is exactly why I love an anthology because now I will for sure stay away from any books written by these two authors.

Knotting Hearts anthology

These are the stories I’ve read so far.

Real Alpha by Sienna Sway
5 out of 5 stars

Connor and his baby Roscoe escape his abusive alpha. He hides in Oscar’s bakery. Oscar feels a pull to protect Connor and Roscoe. Oscar was so patient and caring. I loved this story and could not put it down. I was so happy when Connor finally realized that Oscar was a different kind of alpha. Loved this one so much!

Ranch Down by JP Sayle
3 out of 5 stars

This was cute and the introduction to a new series. I wasn’t really big on Trey claiming that there was nothing between the two of them except sex. I guess I was missing a little bit of the romance. Cassidy was cute with his little chickens and there were some interesting characters introduced. I will definitely check out the new series. I am especially intrigued by Ethan (the ranch owner) and Jasper.

Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley
4 out of 5 stars

Peter sees a ghost dog before getting a tarot reading one night. His mate, Bennett, is a barghest and only Peter can see him. I loved the introduction of the barghest and the mythology behind it. Peter and Bennett were very sweet and adorable.

Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe
3 out of 5 stars

I usually enjoy Minerva’s stories, but this one was not my favorite. I didn’t really care for Des abandoning his pregnant mate to “protect” him. I think if he had been honest it would have been much better. But Alastair thought Des did not love him and that made me sad. I loved the nickname “Starry” and I want to read a story about Hamish and Reed.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George
3.5 out of 5 stars

I remember meeting Aitor and Ikal in a previous story, and I am so glad that we finally got their story. Ikal and Aitor have been mated for five years without any pregnancies. They both desperately want children, and Tor decides to take his mate on a vacation to remind him that even if they never have children it will be enough. I loved these two so much. I love the way the story interspersed how they met with the present storyline. Very sweet!

Noble’s Omega by Giovanna Reaves
3 out of 5 stars

This was an interesting story about Jersey and Noble. Both have been hurt in relationships so they wanted to take it slow. Noble kinda annoyed me when he told Nersey that their mating wouldn’t be ‘perfect like it was with Yaz’. Yaz was Noble’s first mate who died. That shocked me and honestly took me out of the whole story.

I received an ARC from the authors for my honest review

Enjoyable short stories by some amazing authors!!!

I received 1/3 (6 short stories) of the Knotting Hearts Anthology to read and review as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy).

I rated each story separately but I was the most excited about Vinni George's short story, so I read it first. I used Vinni's story as the basis for rating the other stories.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George is a story set in the Land & Sea universe. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story was 84 pages and was definitely my favorite. It's about an alpha jaguar shifter and his omega sea turtle shifter and their journey to conceive. I love the Land & Sea series so I was especially excited to read this one.

Noble’s Omega by Giovanna Reaves is a story set in the Valleywood universe. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story was the longest at 118 pages. I saved it for last and I'm glad that I did since I started with a five-star read and ended with a five-star read. No spoilers here, you'll have to read it to see what happens. It would be too easy to give something away due to the uniqueness of this alpha omega couple.

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway is a story set in the Lunar City universe. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a quick read at 83 pages. Lunar City is a rough place to be pregnant and on the run from an abusive alpha.

Ranch Down by JP Sayle is a prequel to the Darling Ranch series. ⭐⭐⭐
This story was 99 pages long and had some really cute chickens and so many side characters introduced it made my brain bleed, lol. There were 8 brothers introduced that I assume will be part of the Darling Ranch series.

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley is set in the Fairytale Mates series universe. ⭐⭐⭐
This was a 91 page story about a sweet omega looking for a mate and finds a barghest instead.

Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe is set in her dragon universe. ⭐⭐⭐
This was the shortest of the 6 stories I read at 68 pages. This one was about an alpha dragon with the misconception that if he ignored his pregnant omega he could protect him from the bad guys. Ask him how that worked out for him, lol.

I'm excited for this anthology to be released so I can read the rest of the stories by all these amazing authors. There should be something for everyone as long as you're into omegaverse romance with MPREG. All proceeds go to charity and will only be available for a limited time.

I received an ARC of 6 stories and this is my honest review. I've written a short review of each of them but I would definitely recommend the anthology as a whole because there's something for everyone! I'm looking forward to reading the stories I've missed.

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway - 4 stars
Connor and Oscar were so sweet and well suited. I loved how caring the story was and it felt exactly like a warm hug with the little family all together. Steamy when it needed to be, a great HEA and lots of emotion throughout.

Ranch Down by JP Sayle - 3 stars
Trey and Cassidy were smoking hot together - so much chemistry there! What let it down for me a bit was how rushed it seemed where Trey immediately changed his mind about claiming Cassidy. It was so quick I didn't really understand what the wait had been. Also, all the extra characters were a tad overwhelming for such a short read. Still good though.

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley -3 stars

Peter and Bennett were a sweet couple and I enjoyed the supernatural element of the story. I don't mind a bit of insta-love but this took things to a whole new level from meeting to mating and pregnancy! Lots of potential with the world building if it was a bit slower.

Rescuing His Mate by Minerva Howe - 3 stars
Alistair and Des were sweet - the pair did make me shout at my kindle a bit with all the staying away business but I'm glad they got their HEA.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George - 5 stars
Aitor and Ikal's story was such a rollercoaster. It can amazing chemistry, brilliant world building and a strong backstory to their relationship. I loved the balance of flashback with present day and I was left smiling along with them for the bits of good news. The epilogue made me laugh out loud too. A brilliant story set in the wonderful Land and Sea universe.

Noble’s Omega by Giovanna Reaves - 4 stars
Jersey and Noble's story was set in a really interesting world and I loved the uniqueness to the shifter dynamic. They had good chemistry and I liked the secondary characters too. I felt like the 'villain' aspect was a bit brief to truly be invested in it without more background of the characters but it was still a good mm romance.

I love a themed charity anthology as a way to dip into new authors and get a feel for their writing in a setting I know I'll enjoy, and Knotting Hearts definitely introduced me to some I'll be reading more from. That said, there has to be at least one author whose work I know and love in there to start with and for me in this that author was Vinni George, who in my opinion writes some of the hottest, sweetest, most engaging shifter omegaverse out there. Sure enough, Tor and the Turtle is a diamond of a story, set in the Land and Sea world (though you really don't need to have read any of them to dive right in, and then I guarantee you'll want to afterwards). The MCs are just so sweet and lovely, and manage to set fire to the sheets all at once. Loved it, please give them a whole book! For the other stories, there's a real mix here, and inevitably not every story will tick the boxes for everyone, but that variety is also what makes anthologies so good, you're only a few page turns away from a different POV. For me a couple of other great discoveries from authors unfamiliar to me were:
- A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway. Major hurt-comfort, an abused omega fleeing his partner with his infant son and the soft, gentle Alpha who will do anything to gain his trust.
- Ranch Down by JP Sayle
Steam-tastic shifter story with cowboy/ranch vibes and two men who've somehow managed to convince themselves they're not head over heels for each other. Featuring a supporting cast of a million intriguing characters (who I think have their own books), a pet pig and some very fancy chickies.
- The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley
If you've read the DragonFate games by this author you'll be familiar with their style - instalove, possessive/protective fated mates, silliness mixed right in with hotness (hawaiian pizza in the s$x dungeon, anyone?!), and this story is just like that, with the fab twist of a paranormal entity I'd not encountered in books before - a Barghest, a spectral dog the size of a bear with special powers.

Wonderful collection

I really enjoyed this collection of shorts.
Some cute and sweet, some serious.
A few caught my eye and I'm giving those a short review.

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway

Connor is escaping from an abusive relationship with his sweet baby.
He stumbles into Oscar's shop and ge knows he has to help.
I loved how supportive and protective Oscar was of them and that he never pushed or rushed Connor.

Ranch Down by J.P. Sayle

Trey and Cassidy had sizzling chemistry together.
Trey is happy running his bar with his best friend Kendrick.
Cassidy is so sweet and I loved his little animal family on the ranch.

Noble's Omega by Giovanna Reaves

I loved Noble, Jersey and JaMari.
They made a beautiful family.
Dino shifters are interesting and this story was really creative.
It was wonderful to see Noble and Jersey take their time and really get to know one another.
JaMari was absolutely adorable.

Castaway by Kelex

Robin and Shiloh grew up together and reunite on a cruise ship.
Disaster strikes and they're stranded on an island.
Shiloh is caught unaware in a precarious situation and needs Ronin's help.
They were so sweet together and I loved how protective Ronin was of Shiloh.
Their time apart only served to solidify just how perfect they are for each other.

Knot Mine To Love by Jacy Davis

Nico isthe youngest son of a powerful mafia family.
He's tired of his overprotective brother Santino and his right hand man and best friend Emilio.
He wants to live be in control of his own life.
He runs off intending to have some unsupervised fun but ends up in serious trouble.
Emilio and Santino have to come rescue him.
Nico is forced into a situation where Emilio has to help him and they both realize they're mates.

This was cute, fun, sweet and adorable.
Falling in love online while hating each other in real life.
Miscommunications lead to avoidable situations that are quickly resolved.

I received an ARC for 1/3 of the total stories featured in the book and the stories I read are:

A Real Alpha by Sienna Sway

This is a new-to-me author

I love when an alpha is written witha soft center and Oscar fits the bill. Helping Connor escaping his controlling and abusive ex and falling in love is just so lovely and cute.
Connor is sceptic but seeing Oscar doing everything he is asking and helping above and beyond is helping him to slowly accepting him when his heat strucks.

I will definitely go back to this author.

Ranch Down by JP Sayle

This is linked to the author's Divergent series and I just love it. Two guys too stupid to see what is in front of them when insisting on "just f*ck buddies".
It's very steamy but I also love how Cassidy is taking care of his flock, Trey a lot more possessive then he thinks he is.

I hope to see Kendrick soon again as well, the series this story is a pre-lude for, should be great.

The Barghest Bond by Hawke Oakley
Bennett and Peter are a meet-cute of the PNR variety.
They are very adorable together and fated mates are a weakness of mine.

I didn't read this author before but I defintiely will again.

Tor and the Turtle by Vinni George

I love the author's Land and Sea series and these two fit so great into it.
It's always hard to read a story about a couple having problems conceiving, PNR or not. A week away from day-to-day stress give Aitor and Ikal the opportunity to relax and while it's a bit too stereotype, Ikal finally gets the pregnancy he hoped for.

But I love the guys, they just fit and I love how Ikal wasn't just bowled over but teased Aitor at the beginning.
They will definitely have their hands full with their adorable family.

I'm currently reading an arc that includes one third of the stories - because some of these stories are massive, the authors are breaking up the ARCs so we can read part of the overall anthology.

Billy and Cord - Lisa Oliver

Knot Mine to Love - Jacey Davis

Castaway Heat - Kelex - an alpha and omega who grew up together reunite on a cruise - and disaster strikes! Now they're deserted on an island and Shiloh has an upcoming heat.

I love second chance stories when it's done right, and I really liked this one! It gives a bit of a glance when they are both young to understand them more, which I liked. These two had great chemistry and while I'm never a huge fan of the "I'm making this major decision that affects you and me both but without your input at all, even though it affects you too, because I know better" move haha I understand it. (Looking at you, Angel!)

Wings of Frost and Flame - (Zelda Knight writing as) Skyler Drake - I didn't care for this one. I didn't feel romantic love between the characters, it felt a bit dub-con? I don't know, I just didn't love it.

He Slept With the Most Famous Internet Celebrity (You’ll Never Guess What Happens Next!) - Piper Scott & Renee Fox - this was fun and sweet, and adorable! I will say, although I LOVE the "You've got Mail trope" where they fall in love online while hating each other in real life, I think I do prefer it when neither character knows who they are talking to at first. In this one, one MC knew he was talking to the other the entire time and that to me felt a bit more.....sneaky? Deceptive? And then made me feel like this was all avoidable by actual communication, so I was frustrated a bit too.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I was gifted a copy of PART of the anthology, with stories from Sienna Sway, JP Sayle, Hawke Oakley, Minerva Howe, Vinne George and Giovanna Reeves.

And I thoroughly enjoyed these books but 2 stand out.

Ranch Down, JP Sayle.

Set in this author's Divergent series, but not part of it, The Darling Ranch series is a spin off, this was a lot, and I mean A LOT of fun to read and I really hope I can catch up with the guys at the farm soon!

Cassidy and Trey have a friends with benefits thing going on, for 2 years. Both would like it to be a bit more permanent, but both are scared of rejection. What follows, is a wonderful tale of two men seeing what has been under their noses all this time, and I loved it! It's a lot of fun, with some steamy smexy times, and very little drama. I loved that most, if not all, of the Starling brothers pop up, and it's one of them that triggers Trey to make a move!

Tor and the Turtle, Vinni George.

Set within the Land and Sea series, this was a bit different, Altor and Ikal have been mated for 5 years, but still don't have those children they talked about. Treatments and planning has caused distance between them, so a week away is just what they need before they try something else.

What I loved about this one, was that Ikal and Tor were already together, but that week away re-ignites their passion. Given what happens on said week away, it works!

All the books are easy reads, shorts within other worlds of these authors. I really enjoyed them all, but these two stand out and make it for me.

but the whole batch gets ....

5 stars

Really appreciate that each story had a blurb. I mainly got this to read Roe Horvat’s Night Train. And in my opinion, it was easily the best one in the anthology. Knot Mine to Love by Jacey Davis was a surprise. I liked the premise and the semi-forbidden-ness of the relationship added a touch of angst. Ranch Down was also good, if a bit goofy.

The rest of the stories were just okay or DNF.

A Real Alpha ✅
His Pretty Omega ✅
Tor and the Turtle ❌ A bit boring.
The Perfect Boy ✅
The Barghest Bond ❌
His Prize ❌ I didn’t even try to read this one from the blurb.
Ranch Down ✅ Third favorite
Wings of Frost and Flame ❌ Prologue opens with MC being tortured plus a lot of made up names and situations I could keep track of.
Rescuing His Mate ❌ The kidnapping was over within the first 3 chapters and after that it was boring.
Bad Professor ❌ Getting the stepfather POV was weird.
Noble’s Omega ❌ I didn’t get the setup with the daughter only for the MC’s to meet in a near drowning, of all things. What was the purpose of the daughter trying to bring them together then??
Billy and Cord ❌
Night Train ✅ Best one
Castaway Heat ❌ I didn’t try this one because I’m not into shipwrecks and stranded stories.
Knot Mine to Love ✅ Second favorite
Mate Match: Curtis and Jae ❌ A bit boring.
He Slept With the Most Famous Internet Celebrity ❌ A bit boring.

I love anthologies, especially when every story included is good to great. Knotting Hearts is one of the good ones. Every story had a heartfelt HEA and everyone. I received a review copy for 6 of the stories but ended up reading the entire book.
To me every story was 3-5 stars and of the 6 I was given to review two were 5 stars to me and the first was "A Real Alpha" by Sienna Sway which brought a hurt/comfort feel with a well deserved HEA for Connor and Oscar and even baby Roscoe. It was a great story to start out the anthology with. The other 5 star read for me was written by Vinni George. "Tor and the Turtle" features a couple first met in other books and shows their present day struggles mixed with their past relationship. It was such a sweet story.

All of the books in Knotting Hearts are worth reading if you are a fan of omegaverse and mpreg. I had read most of the authors before and a few I consider favorites, but I think I will be adding a few more to that favorites list.

I’ve read almost 2/3 of this anthology and pretty much loved all these sweet stories! They are all set in omegaverse and are about mating their “one”. I’ve read the stories by Lisa Oliver, Jacey Davis, Kelex, Skyler Drake, Piper Scott & Renee Fox, JP Sayle, Vinni George, and Minerva Howe. They all were very sweet and well written. Some I really didn’t want to see end but they are novellas and at least they had happy endings! I enjoyed them all but Castaway Heat by Kelex was one of my favorites as it was just so dang cute and I loved how protective Ronin was of Shiloh! JP’s Ranch Down was also a favorite because come on…cute chicks! Plus some favorite characters from another series that I absolutely loved showed up! All these stories were very interesting and entertaining and I very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

I was given a portion of these stories to review and enjoyed them. I especially liked Sienna Sway's, A Real Alpha. Connor and Roscoe, his baby, are in need of a better place to be as the alpha that he was with is abusive. Connor realizes that the only way to protect Roscoe is to try to get away as he and the baby are being held and not allowed to go out. He seizes an opportunity and is fortunate enough to wander into the diner where he finds Oscar, a loving alpha who decides to help him, realizes something is wrong and offers him and Roscoe shelter. Oscar's caring and protective behavior was so wonderful for Connor as he was healing from his bad situation. And it turned out that they were meant for one another. This story drew me in and made me excited to read the others and to purchase the anthology so I could keep reading.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my review.
