No Silent Night: How a Sisterhood Saved the Season
This is Book 33 of Shrouded Nation, with a focus on Faith. Helps greatly to have read the previous installments for history and evolution of our characters.
In this story, Faith is visited by her son, Liam, who has been kept out of the supernatural world. Liam is also a well-trained bounty hunter helping to run the mundane business and visits Faith for the holidays. With the holidays and festivities underway, Faith is alerted to a concerning incident and has to investigate. While Liam wants to accompany Faith, she convinces Liam to stay knowing the supernatural is involved.
Turns out, the havoc is being caused by, of all demons, Krampus! Only Krampus is one of the more unusual demons being all about the naughty or nice and punishing those he deems naughty, whether they actually are or not. Krampus though is stronger, faster and smarter than others using the holidays as a way to cause chaos. Krampus has unusual skills that can bring unwanted memories to the surface as well and uses fear as a weapon.
Liam asks to meet Faith's grandfather, Carnell who is an incubus demon (Faith is a tri-bred being human, shifter and demon) and dinner takes place with Faith a little concerned that Liam may question Carnell's youthful appearance, however, dinner ensues without issue until after when they are attacked by Krampus. Cal shifts to his gargoyle form to chase and Krampus goes after Liam which causes Liam to remember the events of the past that took his father regardless of the memory potion Faith has had him imbibe. Needless to say, the truth is revealed and Liam is focused on stopping Krampus along with the team.
With several dramatic events and planning, the team devises a way to trap and capture Krampus. Will they be successful? What about Liam and his new understanding of the supernatural world? Can the team save the holidays?

The Sacred Sisters: Faith, Nishi, Eve, Tegan, Salima, & Aurora are back and still having to deal with Dagna’s ‘presents’ of demons and etc. Greyson has asked Faith to move in! Omg, I squeed at that. That is a big deal. We get to see Carnell and Cal a little more in this book, which made me happy as I love them. Although, I wanted to see Brutus and baby Cal’s egg again. Liam, Faith’s son, doesn’t know about the supernatural world or much of his mom’s past in Ravenholde. His visit turns into a revelation for him, and I felt so bad for both him and Faith as what they have to deal with is a demon like no other. This Big Bad is scary as all get out. Christmas is in the air and that doesn’t help either. Poor Liam is overwhelmed with all he learns in this book. I’m glad that he realizes that his mom was just protecting him. I’m also worried about when his demon part hits. Will he be an incubus partially as well?
Seeing Liam in action as a bounty hunter and his fighting skills are impressive. However, if he is going to be staying in Ravenholde, he will have to learn even more about the supernatural world and how to fight the demons that got out of Scorchwood prison. So, I’m worried about him.
The book was awesome, had awesome fight scenes, was terrifying and scary and I chewed on my nails and had the AC on high while I was freaking out. I also laughed at the amazing snarks that the women did, especially Faith. I can’t wait to see what happens next. We also get to learn a bit more about Victor. There seems to be something going on between him and Aurora. That gave me the giggles. We also get to learn about Greyson’s son, Mattias, well a bit. I hope we learn more and get to see him soon and I hope he and Liam get along. I also can’t wait to see how Brutus reacts to Liam. lol. I love that darn dragon.

The ladies are in the middle of decorating the tree when Liam arrives earlier than planned throwing Faith into turmoil, Eve will have to give him another potion to clear his memories of the past but before that can happen there’s a murder at the Christmas village
A dark force a dark witch an evil predator has been found dead
A chase if cat and mouse begins Liam is caught up in the middle of it all
He finally sees everything from his childhood his mom protected him from it destroys him but her more so
Can they overcome work things out , will he let his mom explain, will he see the whole truth
Can they save Christmas.

It's Christmas time again for Mystic Falls. And what would Christmas be without a demon , Krampus, to create chaos. The sacred sisters have their hands full with Krampus and Dagna causing chaos and mayhem for the holidays.
This is Faith's story. Her POV. I loved that her son Liam is there. They get a lot resolved, surprisingly with the help of Krampus . Didn't see that twist coming. Although I do not think he had meant to do that. He was trying to torture Faith.
I liked the help from Victor, Carnell , Greyson and Cal.
Action throughout. Loved the surprises and twists. There was even a little splash of humor and the epic sarcasm of the sisters. This could be read as a standalone story. The worldbuilding was good. This is the perfect story to read sitting by the fireplace with hot cocoa.

Told from Faith's POV. There's a demon stalking the Christmas village and killing people in a unique way. Someone has sicced Krampus on the festive yuletide town (three guesses who did it) and now the usual crew is on the case. We finally get to meet Faith's son who has come to town for a visit. She is still trying to keep him from learning about the supernatural and especially the manner of his father's death. But the memory suppressor is not working as well as it used to, so it is only a matter of time. Of course, a certain dark witch may be motivated to move things along!

It is the Christmas season in Mystic Falls. This is Book 33 of the Shrouded Nation series and book 10 of the supernatural Midlife Bounty Hunter series. It is written from Faith's point of view and includes her son Liam. The demon Krampus (the real Krampus, not the one from folklore) is the protagonist of this tale. There is action, surprises, a splash of humor and the epic sarcasm we know and love in all the series within the Shrouded Nation Series.
Brenda Trim and Tia Didmon make an excellent team their characters are likeable and well written. I recommend not only this book but the entire series as well. Each book picks up from the last so I recommend starting at the beginning!.

This is another great story in this series. I love that each one of the Characters usually get most of a book in the series to focus on their lives. This on focus' on Faith and her unenlightened son's visit during the Holidays. Grayson is also waiting for Faith to commit to living with him. These characters are both regular people with feelings we can relate to and also super paranormal beings of immense power with great responsibility to their world and ours. The series had me hooked from day one, and I look forward to reading the next in series.

Liam finally learns some long hidden gems about his family history.
no idea why these parents might try to shield their offspring about dangers in their world - their whole family and friends circles are huge targets, so understanding hazards and defenses could make life ending differences.
as usual, it's great to see the ladies kicking butt with their skilled friends, and the dynamics are powerful in more ways than one.
intense and magic packed drama and action that keeps you wanting more, because the characters are so addictive.

Faith finally is forced to open up to her son and it doesn't go the way she thought, but nothing does with a demon around.
Thing's are finally going ahead with Faith and Greyson, and that was worth seeing.

Liam comes for a visit and discovers all of Faith’s secrets thanks to a demon named Krampus. I wasn’t sure how this book was going to end, it kept me turning the pages. You really felt for Faith and Liam. This was a good read. I liked the ending.

This is a Faith POV story and I was hooked from the beginning, and couldn’t put the book down. I love these women! This was a Christmas story with a demon named Krampus. An exciting read, with a great storyline and great characters. I can’t wait to read the next one.

This entertaining PNR/UF storyline has defined MCs who are likable, resilient, and have secrets. Our heroine must reveal her true work to her sone, and the revelation doesn't produce the expected results. There is action, danger, secrets, and revelations.
